Fun day, but order was...

Anne_S, Apr 2026
Fun day, but order was odd. We got a sandwich @ 9am and then didn’t eat again until 3pm. Needed snacks in between stops!

Not all that great - just...

Not all that great - just don't travel solo with this one, it sucks when you're by yourself it can be overwhelming unless you're outgoing and sociable but it wasn't for me...

Beautiful day in the jungle

Very well organized, long day. All together this tour was about 12 hours. We were picked up at our hotel in the morning which took us to a transfer station where we were assigned to a group with a driver and bi lingual guide. 2 hour drive to Chichen itza. 2.5 hours on site. 30 minute drive to Vallidolid, an ancient town where we had an amazing lunch and spent some time wandering. 30 minute drive to Cenote oxman. We had 2 hous to swim in the Cenote, and sample local organic tequila at the hacienda. 2 hours back to the transfer station then a shuttle returned us to our hotel. Guide was great, trip was great, everything went very smoothly

A long, hot, but enjoyable day at Chichen Itza!

This was an amazing experience for my sons and I. The experience lasted 12 hours but be aware there is a 2 hour ride each way from the hotel in Cancun. The bus was comfortably air conditioned. There is a bus transfer at their central terminal. Upon boarding we got a sandwich, corn muffin, and an orange juice box. I would suggest having breakfast before you board. Our tour guide Carlos "Charlie" did a great job in leading the tour and sharing the Mayan culture with us. Our first stop was Chichen Itza. I was amazed by what I saw there. However, please note the entire grounds are saturated with hundreds of vendors selling their souvenirs and the sales pitches were never ending. This however did not take away from our experience at the site. From there, we went 30 minutes to the city of Valladolid where we had an excellent lunch buffet at a restaurant in the middle of the city. After lunch, we had about 45 minutes to stroll around the city. We boarded the bus and traveled about 15 minutes to a Cenote where my sons descended into the sinkhole and swam for about 30 minutes. A very enjoyable experience for them. After the Cenote, we boarded the bus for the 2 hour ride back to the hotel. There was no bus transfer on the return, the bus dropped us off directly at the hotel. Throughout the day, soda, water and beer are provided at no charge on the bus. We also got a water bottle that we carried around while at Chichen Itza. Overall, I would highly recommend this tour!

This is a terrific tour! Our tour was timed perfectly, and you even get beer and naps along the way! In Valladolid there is a terrific buffet! 5 stars! Safety and security were always important to the tour guides as well as entertainment and speaking English too.

Such a great tour!

Stefanie_M, Feb 2025
Such a great day! Ramos was our tour guide and Orlando was our driver and they were both amazing! A great bilingual tour, the time in the bus was filled with history and information about the sites which made the ride time fly by. Really appreciated having an air conditioned bus to come back to, and all the knowledge and information Ramos gave us. 100% recommend this tour to anyone looking for an amazing day trip.

Great all day adventure!

Mayan experience of a lifetime

Cliff_S, Apr 2024
The guide had vast knowledge of the Mayan culture. Bus driver Alex and tour guides Gabriel & Isanesia (totally wrong name, our apologies) were wonderful. Totally enjoyable experience by all.

Best trip ever

All the trip was very very good I’ll definitely do it again when I have a chance I’ll definitely recommend to any one and specially to my friends and family

Great all-day trip!

Megan_S, Oct 2023
This was a great adventure and seeing Chichen Itzá was the highlight for us. We wished we had more time at this stop but we were able to see everything (just had to move fast). The cenote was also amazing and on the way out we came across an example of a traditional home where a woman was cooking and handing out homemade tortillas - AMAZING. The facilities here were quite beautiful and the swimming is fun but crowded. Visiting Valladolid was interesting as well but our least favorite stop if we had to pick one. We are both vegans and the food at the buffet was limited for us, but well marked with allergens. Great beverages here! I was charmed by the ambiance and we also found some delicious vegan gelato nearby. Everything was timely and well organized. There’s a lot of travel time but the guides were great and kept us entertained for portions of the ride, which helped to make the time go by. Lots of podcast listening and book reading too! Overall, a long day since these sites are a decently long distance from the Cancún area but Chichen Itzá is a must see! We appreciated that the guides kept us on schedule and we were back at our hotel in time for dinner!

Long but good day

John_S, Oct 2023
The tour was good but I was disappointed that we were the only English speakers in the very large group. The guides had great English but when it’s mixed in with other languages it’s hard to follow. If there wasn’t an English tour available I would rather not have done the trip. Chichen itza was interesting but ruined by all the people hassling to sell you stuff whilst you try and take in one of the 7 modern wonders of the world. The buffet lunch was lovely though. The cenote was stunning.
