The crew was really helpful and fun. Everyone seemed to be having a blast and were friendly and helpful as well. My wife and I were the oldest on board and though we did not snorkel, we managed well. Lunch was very good. Highly recommend this tour. Our only criticism is that we had a difficult time getting answers on where and when we would be picked up.

The crew was nice; but the boat was very small, old, and extremely slow. The condition was so poor, that safety was always on our mind. We were jealous of all the other boats. As far as all inclusive, they give you a small cup and you share out of a 40. Snorkeling was extremely unorganized, no flippers, and crappy life jackets. The water was choppy and my husband had to help someone from sinking/almost drowning. This was a complete waste of money and we ended up staying on the island and taking the ferry back, which was surprisingly fun and a much better experience.

Great experience from start to finish. When you first get n you aren’t sure due to the large amount of people crammed up on it. But the boys kept the drinks flowing and it was good vibes the whole trip. Despite being previous reviews.. lunch was delicious with many options (fish, chicken, pizza, black beans, rice, fruit, and drink at destination). Even my picky husband enjoy it. It was Better than the food at our all inclusive!! Will do it again for sure.

We joined the catamaran tour to Isla Mujeres and it was absolutely fantastic. Everything was very well organized from start to finish. The staff, led by Javier, were super friendly, fun, and always made sure everyone was having a great time. With party music, open bar and a delicious buffet, the latin atmosphere on board was relaxed and full of energy. The snorkeling was unforgettable, crystal clear water, lots of colorful fish and a stunning view of the reef. The sea was simply breathtaking.

The experience was wonderful. The crew was extraordinary. I got lost at the beach and both the online reps and the tour guide went above and beyond to get me to the meet up spot. On the boat, the drinks kept coming (careful!) and the music was a vibe. Shoutout to the captain who steered with his feet! This snorkel experience in clear blue water was the highlight. I waved at fish like they were going to wave back lol. Thanks for the great experience! I'll be back with my family.

This was so much fun! I enjoyed it, the water was a little too rough to snorkel. We were able to visit another island where we got souvenirs. The food was decent too!

While Joel was amazing, I would NOT recommend this experience. The boat was tiny, dirty, and the restroom was extremely makeshift. The place we went for lunch was horrible, and the whole time the drinks tasted like juice. The staff was great but besides that I would say avoid.

Save your money and time! The Catamaran as a boat is nice but the crew is hopeless! They serve you washed up drinks throughout, no fizz, very watery. Icing on the cake, they stop at the most cheap, filthy mexican restaurant you can find at Playa norte! Btw, whole hype of Playa Norte was pointless since all we could see was the bad restro, no one got to see the beach or hang out at the so called playa norte beach since they stopped at this secluded restaurant with whom they may have some internal setting/arrangement. Overall, it was exhausting since service was poor and the guide and entire crew seemed just focused on getting Tips or money through photographs. Never again!

We had a great time, however, the snorkeling was not good. There was very little to see plus they dropped us off in an area where there were probably about 10 boats of other snorkelers and there was a strong current and a lot of waves. It was not an ideal snorkeling situation. The drinks were flowing for sure! The buffet was not the best….hot dogs, undercooked chicken, rice, beans, salad, fruit and a few other items. At they place that we stopped at for lunch, we were given an hour and a half, but after eating, there was not much to do. Again, we made the best of it and had a wonderful time but there is definitely room for improvement with this tour.

The trip was beautiful. It was fun and the snorkeling was cool. The transportation was a little confusing but it ended up working out. At the end of the excursion the workers were hassling for pictures and hassling for tips. I mean really pushing. We didn’t enjoy the pictures and weren’t interested. They made the entire group uncomfortable because they were not happy with the tip, even though it wasn’t my group that didn’t tip well. The captain took his hat and was asking other members “that’s it?”, “thats my service was to you?” It just made everything unpleasant and uncomfortable. He ended up not helping us all off the boat after.

El Toucan was a great boat with great guides and staff. They kept the trip lively and fun Only suggestion would be to do a small snorkel guide for newcomers and improve the lifejackets.

Snorkeling Day Trip

The crew were wonderful . Sergio was our guide who was friendly, informative and very helpful in some choppy waters during the snorkle (very few fish to see). Be prepared for a swim though to the snorkel spot. Boat was clean and comfortable for the number of people on board (not at capacity). The.scenery was beautiful. Isla Mejures itself is a tourist zone with lots of shops and people on crowded beach in town. Spent only a little over 1 hour at the "private beach" that they took us to (less time in town would have been better). The buffet luncheon was pretty unimpressive except for the grilled chicken. If you are staying in the Hotel Zone take the Public Bus (NOT the Red Sea Bus) for transportation (12 Pesos per person each way) Bus stops right out front of Meeting Point. The crew and Catamaran ride was the best part of the trip (which saved the average rating).

No snorkelling stop…

Although staff ware fantastic and really kind the main reason why we booked this trip was for the snorkelling stop. We never got one.. nor did we receive an explanation to why. Trip was good however if you want a relaxing boat ride , this is not it , too many people on a small boat.

Nightmare snorkeling.

Would not recommend this excursion. Staff were friendly and welcoming, however, snorkeling was an absolute nightmare. It should be written in the description that this Catamaran doesn't provide full life jackets or flippers. We were given a belt life jacket that wraps only around your waist when we told staff we need full jackets given we're not the strongest swimmers, and staff told us that's all they had. After putting it on and getting in the water, we had to swim a really far distance to get to the reef atleast 10 of us wanted to go back on the boat and staff said NO. At this point, we were just trying to survive and not drown.

Great boat experience, horrible company experience

The boating, snorkel, and island experience was good. The boat crew was amazing and friendly. But my largest complain is for the “SAT company”. Their communication and shuttle team is horrible. The pick up time initially gave a large window of 7am-9am. I spent a week messaging them every day asking for the time with no respond. In the middle of the night before, they decided to message me that pick up time is 9:05am with such a little notice. For the shuttle back, they were initially 30 minutes late. After the driver arrived, he had us sit in the shuttle for another 30 mins. We kept telling him that we were suppose to be back an hour ago and we have dinner reservations but he kept saying 3 more minutes each time. We talked to his manger on the phone and they said they will take us home right away. The shuttle driver refused after hanging up and we stayed there even longer. We were so fed up we ordered a taxi. I reached out to the company and they stopped responding to me when I asked for the shuttle refund. We are very upset at the group managing the communication and shuttle. It was very unprofessional to ignore my refund request.

Avoid!!!

You should completely avoid this tour. Poor communication before the trip. I selected a pick up point at check out and when you ask the time to pick up, they would avoid the question and ask you to meet at the port. After spent 120 on taxi to get to the meeting point, the tour was cancelled due to wind. There was no communication and all telling their customers not to show up. I saw another group as disappointed as we were. The company didn’t initiate a refund and I had to contacted viator for the request. On top of that, they charged $20 pp for docking fee, because the charge is on a different platform, so I had to run around to request for the refund. The company had no communication at all since the tour was cancelled and I had to run around to get my money back.

It was beautiful. Most of the excursion involved us being on the boat in the water for the most part. We didn’t get to do the snorkeling last minute because of the weather so they set up a lunch for us. Isla mujeres overall was beautiful. Beware of everyone trying to sell you everything.

We really enjoyed our visit to Isla Mujeres. The crew on our catamaran was very friendly and accommodating. There were a lot of other people snorkeling at the same time as us but the crew made sure we were all doing ok. The lunch was nothing special but it was fine and there were plenty of drinks available throughout the trip. We really enjoyed the downtown area of Isla Mujeres.

not worth it

the buffet was very limited and not worth the time. I wish we would have had more time to explore the island/swim in the beach/eat on our own instead of having to get back on the catamaran to sail to the other end of the island just to eat at a buffet (pizza, tilapia, rice). No real mexican food , had to ask for even tortillas assemble a decent fish taco.
