Itinerary
Start your private tour with a hotel pickup in Cairo or Giza, and travel by air-conditioned minivan to the Giza Plateau. Head into the site with your Egyptologist guide and marvel at the pyramids. Take snaps and listen as your guide explains how these monumental tombs were built in around 2,500 BC for three pharaohs.
Get free time to explore inside one of the pyramids independently (additional cost) — your guide is not permitted to accompany you. Alternatively, take a camel ride (additional cost) and absorb the sweeping views over central Cairo.
See the enigmatic Sphinx, and perhaps complete your visit with entry to the Solar Boat Museum (additional cost): home to the funerary boat of Khufu, the pharaoh for whom the largest Giza pyramid was built. Gaze in awe at the wooden boat, and learn how its remnants were discovered and reassembled by archaeologists. Next, make the short drive to Sakkara, the home of Egypt's oldest pyramid, constructed in around 2,650 BC. Admire this incredible, stepped structure as you learn how it was built for the Pharaoh Djoser, and enjoy time to explore at leisure.
Then, continue to Memphis, Egypt’s ancient capital and administrative center until around 2,200 BC. View the UNESCO-listed sculptures and ruins in its outdoor museum, and behold the star turn: a spectacularly large, fallen statue of Ramses II.
During your day’s explorations, break for lunch (additional cost) and visit a papyrus institute to see the ancient craft of papyrus painting in action. Watch the artisans at work and perhaps buy some of the delicate artworks.
Your day trip finishes with a drop-off back at your Cairo or Giza hotel.

Nermeen was amazing. She knew so much history, was amazing with the family, and organized the day perfectly. She was patient, went through things quickly when the kids were fading - all in all our best tour of our trip. She is the perfect guide, and made the day a spectacular history lesson.

Ahmed Ali the Egyptologist was marvelous. The experience was amazing with all the explanations. This private tour included Giza, Saqqara and Memphis.

Was good to visit all these egypt sites, as it is very interesting. We enjoyed all the site seeing, but our lunch wasn’t nice. I ate the food, but my partner didn’t.
Our tour guide was nice and friendly but his accent made it a bit hard to understand him.
Still recommend to do a tour to visit these places, but maybe organize your own food

Our guide was spectacular: educated, knowledgeable and personable. He spoke English fluently and could read Ancient Egyptian. Great tour! It's a must-do!

We learned so much on this tour. Guide was excellent and driver was great too. Learned more about the many pyramids and families that built them.

Our guide, Fouad, was absolutely incredible. He was super knowledgeable about the sites, but also about the country generally. He answered all of our questions and helped us navigate the typical tricky bits of tourism in Egypt. I would recommend the tour and Fouad if he’s available without question. He made our experience incredible.

Excellent and must do tour! We had the most informative and great with a camera guide! He made certain we saw everything as a local. He was extremely knowledgeable and had superb photo taking skills , this was must see and we are so delighted to have taken this tour which included a fabulous buffet !

We had a great tour! Our guide, Khalid, was very well informed, and told a great story of the history and architecture that we saw. It was very engaging, and even included the Papyrus museum, so we were able to cancel that booking we had for the following day. Our guide also knew his way around a camera quite well and was familiar with all of the best vantage points, so we really got wonderful pictures. Lunch was above average, and we left very pleased despite the intense heat!

Our tour guide gave us a great day in Cairo seeing so many impressive and significant sites. We enjoyed his knowledge and passion for Egypt. I would recommend him for future visits.

This was the highlight of our tour and that's also because of our guide - Ahmed. He was an absolute delight, incredibly chatty and knowledgable and so eager to give us information about Egypt and the sights we saw. He talked to us about the history of Egypt as well as Egyptian life in the 21st century. He was happy to chat to us about anything!
We also had additional stops on the tour including a camel ride in Giza to see the 9 pyramids, a visit to an Egyptian Cotton shop, the papryus institute and a visit to a carpet/rug making shop.
The pyramids and Sphinx in Giza is mindblowing, the statue of Ramesis was also very impressive. The 1st pyramid in Sakkara was very interesting.
Our driver was great too - the traffic in Giza/Cairo is chaotic and manic so it was nice to be driven around by an expert haha
We didn't eat in a restaurant as Ahmed wanted to cram as much into the day as possible so we picked up falafal and the most amazing authentic chicken Shawarma to eat while we drove to our next destination.
I cannot recommend this tour highly enough!

Dont skip this tour. Youll be missing something amazing! Our guide was great and we were able to get some amazing pictures.
RICHARD S, Sep 2018
THe guide skipped the Boat museum and had me pay for my own lunch, then led me into a high pressure sales pitch from a perfume seller on the way back to hotel.
Egypt is full on con artist and pushy street peddlers. They extend to the local tour companies as well. BEWARE

Get to see the pyramids and have a good English speaking host who kept you away from the hordes of people trying to sell to you. we went to everywhere which was great about the pyramids in Cairo. you will get the full essence of all on this tour. the car and driver was comfortable although the tour said we would have a minivan which we didn't get. consider confirming beforehand especially if hot because it could ruin your day. lunch was included at a local Egyptian Chicken place. very tasty.

This tour was amazing I would highly recommend it there are so many incredible sights to see included in this! Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and helpful, he knew the best spots for photos and took so many great shots for us. We really enjoyed our day.
Gregory_B, Apr 2018
Starts early and ends early giving you time to rest or do other things. You get to see everything you want to see in the Cairo area. Perhaps adding on the museum would be a nice touch? Both the driver and guide both named Ahmet were excellent and knowledgable.

Fantastic tour. Our guide, Emmy Eman was so lovely, knowledgeable and caring. She ensured we got to see everything we wanted to. Also our driver was protective of us, particularly the kids, ensuring they were safe as we were crossing roads. The Sekkara pyramid was a highlight, particularly going inside, while the camel ride to see the view of the 9 pyramids was fantastic although this was an extra cost. Great day, worth every cent and fantastic experience.

Michael was a great tour guide. The tour was everything we paid for and more. Great explanation and helpful additional bits too. Driver was amazing in Cairo traffic. Highly recommend for families or couples.

We had an amazing guide tour knowledgeable and fluent in English and our schedule was flexible. We started with Memphis, Sakkara, Giza Pyramids and then Sphinx. The lunch was a Mediterranean meal I was expecting an authentic Egyptian meal. I would highly recommend this tour without the meal.

Great tour for seeing some of the highlights near and around Cairo. Loved seeing the great pyramids which were beyond magical. Stopped at the papyrus institute and purchased a keepsake. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and knew the best locations for pictures. Didnt get a chance to eat.

Pyramids are amazing and guide is very knowledgable! A must-do in Cairo.

Edward B, Jan 2018
“Me-go” was a fantastic guide. Highly recommend! He was very intelligent on the details surrounding the Pyramids and other local sites. Lunch was a buffet in front of the Sphinx.

Tour was cool. Having a guide helped get us into attractions without hassle. We also weren’t approached as much by vendors because we were with someone. I would have liked for our guide to talk more about things we passed on the road or about the culture/history on the way to different sites...
Lisa C, Nov 2017
Amazing day visiting the pyramids and other sites on this tour!! Very friendly and knowledgeable tour guide!
Jon, Nov 2017
Mohammed Atef was an outstanding guide and is highly recommended. Ideal for those that want to skip the large groups found on the big tour buses.
Jennifer B, Nov 2017
My tour guide H’naan was so knowledgeable and spoke English very well! I learned so much about egypt and the history of all the pyramids. I was having bank troubles and she was gracious enough spend a lot of extra time to find me help. She made me feel comfortable and at ease. Thank you very much!
Keith P, Nov 2017
Most of the tour was driving in what seemed to be a continual garbage pit... alongside canals and waterways strewn with massive amounts of litter. Memphis was a nice start - not much going on, but some good statutes and an introduction to ancient Egypt. Sakkara was a step up - in time, and in number of things to see and experience. Going inside the tombs was great!
The Pyramid was way larger and more impressive than ever when you get to experience it first hand. WAY BIGGER!
Hopefully you'll have good weather with pretty skies as your back drop to some very impressive monuments. Glad I went on this tour to see something this impressive!
Driver and guide did their jobs.
