Horrible. Scam! Did not respond to my FOUR messages. Did not meet me at the meeting spot. SCAM. CHEATERS. Do better Viator.

After no response from the tour operator through the day, I confirmed with Viator customer support the pick up time and place and then waited there for 1.5hrs but tour guide was a no show and tour operator does not respond to any forms of contact. Now Viator just say they have to contact the tour operator to get my refund. Terrible tour company and terrible Viator customer support.

Do not book this tour. Tour guide did not turn up and did not reply to multiple messages I sent. Haven't heard anything from them since.

The tour was supposed to be partly a walking tour and we never got off the car and the driver did not speak English to give us any idea of what we were seeing. We were in traffic the whole time until we requested to be driven back to hotel.

The guide was beyond friendly and keen to talk about anything. I had a great time discovering the city centre, bazars, architecture, egyptian culture, Muslim culture and so much more. It was a learning experience!

Cairo at night is a lot of energy and if we’re honest we may have bit off too much on our first night. The market is packed and it’s quite a hustle. Our guide Mohammed was incredibly sweet and moved through the market with ease, and was friendly with many of the vendors. The mosque was incredible - however we went in during the final call to prayer and that was a bit much. It was peaceful and beautiful to watch the prayer but also felt like a strange time to visit. Be advised - if you’re travelling as a couple the man and woman can’t enter together, so being separated in a busy area was a little disorienting. We ended our night outside the walls and had a delicious chicken wrap (leftovers were given to the cats - there’s a LOT of cats). If you’re ready for some crowded action and bustle, this is the tour for you, but if youd rather do something a little more low key and have the time then I would recommend doing a day tour.

As a solo female traveller, I had a fantastic time on this tour! I was picked up right on time and the drive was very smooth. Mohamed Salah was an amazing guide! He made sure I was comfortable at all times and did not miss out on any important place or fact! Highly recommend this tour!

Spent most of the time in a car, taken to places the guide obviously gets kick backs from. Papyrus and aromatherapy, extremely over priced, full of mis truths, etc.

If I could give more than 5 stars for this tour and the guide Ahmed plus the driver Sharif, I would. It started already well - the guide identified himself with holding up the tour company's sign, and when I approached him, he knew my name, so I felt safe. We then talked a moment about expectations and were immediately on the same page (no selling tour please). I was on my own as a woman accompanied by two men I didn't know, and I can only say there was no second during the whole tour making me feel uncomfortable about this. During the drive, I was already given much information about the ancient Egypt history, presented in an entertaining way and very good English. The whole walk through Khan Al-Khalili was informative, fun, safe, he could explain every building, every detour I only thought about was immediately spotted by Ahmed and made possible. Every stop was determined by myself, every approach of sellers or beggars was handled by him in a nice but effective way. Time was no issue, no pressure at all, it was all about me and my preferences. During the walk, I mentioned once that my idea of an ideal day in Cairo was just sitting in a street cafe in the middle of that charming chaos of the city and just watch, listen, smell, enjoy - and on our way back, they surprised me by taking me exactly to such a cafe where we had a tea, and then we stopped at each point I was expressing my amazement about on the journey there - without me asking for it, showing how attentive he was and how much he cared about giving me the best possible experience. Khan Al-Khalili is definitively a must see in Cairo, and I can't imagine a better escort than Ahmed, the perfect combination of a vast knowledge and Egyptian hospitality.

We found this tour to be a waste of time and money. We barely visited any historic sites or attractions. The guide would just point and describe some buildings along the long car ride.
We were taken to a few markets where we wanted to shop around, but we felt rushed by the guide.
The guide kept asking us what we wanted to see or where we wanted to go next, and he barely made any suggestions himself. Tour did not seemed to be planned at all. Would not recommend this tour to anyone.
The driver was really nice.

Saladin is very good tour guide. Hi loves his profession. The four hour tour was exactly what one new to the city needs to get informed about its history, religion and architecture. Saladin is a great story teller and makes the history of Cairo come alive. A must to get to know Cairo!
