Our Viator tour with Thierry was one of the highlights of our trip. My 12-year-old son and I explored the main Normandy World War II sites in a classic motorcycle sidecar, and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. Driving through the French countryside, along back roads and through small towns, was incredibly fun, and Thierry made the day even more special with his engaging personality and the way he tailored parts of the tour just for us. He gave us a personal, thoughtful tour of all the major sites and, through his guidance, helped us truly feel both the somberness and significance of the area while still making the experience exciting for both of us. It was meaningful, unforgettable, and a total blast.

No other words than AMAZING! A private tour via motorcycle/sidecar made this adventure beyond words can even describe. Touring the countryside less travelled by tourists allowed one to understand the vast landscape covered by ground our troops endured. The detailed explanations of each days events during the invasion was to perfection. As we travelled with two teenagers it even kept them alive!!

Manuel was unbelievable! If you are looking for a unique and memorable experience, than I would recommend this tour to you! My husband and I had the most incredible time touring landmarks and sites in the sidecar. Manuel talked with us the whole time and shared stories about what happened in Normandy during WW2. This was such a somber and beautiful experience and I hope everyone who comes to Normandy will get a chance to see it with Manuel!

Where to begin about this experience… this will forever be an amazing memory! Myself, my husband, and my mother all did this together and we all were so happy we did! My husband said it was the best thing he’s ever done in Europe (and I agree!).
Manuel and Thierry were SUPER tour guides and drivers - extremely friendly, hilarious, and very knowledgeable about all of the sites. We all learned so much! It was the perfect mix of history, respect, and levity. You could tell through talking with them that they really put in a lot of thought and effort into these tours. I really cannot say enough great things about them!
Getting the unique experience of traveling to these sites on beautiful back roads through picturesque villages on a motorcycle/in a sidecar was an unforgettable experience. I will recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area!

This is one of the coolest things I have ever done! I just assumed my husband would ride behind the driver and I would be in the side car. But to balance the bike they put the heavier rider in the side car. I didn’t even have time to get nervous before I got my helmet and gloves in and was on the bike. I’ve never ridden a motorcycle before. It wasn’t scary at all!
Of course the stops were sobering and educational. Manuel knows so many facts and figures about the war. We learned so much about the invasion and the strategies and mistakes made.
But for me, riding through the French countryside down little winding roads and seeing centuries old homes, churches, manors, etc was my favorite part.
Manuel was so friendly and fun to spend the afternoon with. I cannot recommend this tour enough. Book it!!

The vintage motorcycle with sidecar made this a unique experience. We had a lovely day with Terry, who took us to all the American sites and a stop by a dairy farm where we all ate the best ice cream ever. I would recommend this experience to anyone who wants a little extra adventure.

Thierry was the coolest person we have met on our entire trip. He was funny and friendly and has so many great stories. He knew the historic significance of all of the sites and he knew the size and scope of so many details. He is very good with the math. !
We would highly recommend a trip with these guys.

This WWII tour was a great way to experience four of the must see places in Normandy! We enjoyed the exclusivity of the tour, which made it even more fun for my family! Riding through Normandy in a sidecar was a fun way to experience this part of the country. Our guides, Emanuel and Thierry, we extremely knowledgeable, friendly and answered all of our questions. They were also fully prepared with rain gear for us when we needed it. We would highly recommend this tour!

This tour was one of the best experiences my family ever had. Manuel and Thierry were knowledgeable and fantastic tour guides. Seeing Normandy in the motorcycle/sidecar was breathtaking with the wind blowing in your face and admiring the beautiful scenery! I felt it was a liberating experience!
Being on Omaha Beach and at the American Cemetery was quite emotional and riveting.
This is the perfect half day tour for a day trip from Paris. Manuel and Thierry were accommodating with the start time and pick up point. We were picked up and dropped off at the train station which was convenient.
I highly recommend this tour and definitely get out of your comfort zone and do the motorcycle/sidecar!

Unique experience with personal touches. Host, Manuel, is accommodating on pick-up location. His motorcycle is clean and eye catching. His driving is safe. Traveling the backroads rather than main highways adds touch of connection to the land and people of Normandy, as well as the imagery of Allied soldiers advancing despite challenges of the terrain.
Manuel is an excellent host and guide. His knowledge of the history and his attention to finest details of June 1944 add remarkable insight to both the Allied and German perspectives of the invasion. Manuel is extremely personable. It was like we had been longtime friends and he was going to do his best to host us.
Highly recommend this excursion and Manuel as your host/guide/friend. Especially recommend to those with keen interest in history, and trivia, as well as military strategy, planning, and tactics.

Exhilerating tour of the Normandy countryside on the way to the more famous sites of Omaha Beach, British Memorial, Pont du Hoc. Stop in in a fishing village for a coffee ... what a unique way to visit this special area. Our guide, Thierry, picked us up at our hotel, provided a splendid adventure and dropped us off at the perfect spot in Bayeux for lunch. Highly recommend.

This review is very overdue. I was in France this summer and this tour jumped out at me as one of the most unique opportunities one could have. The guys were so great and informative, and brought us to some very powerful landmarks. Coincidentally, we were there right after the 80th year anniversary. We learned so much more from this tour than we probably ever did in school in the US. If it was possible, I would encourage all Americans to come and take this tour for the knowledge, the unique enjoyment, and the eye-opening reality to what happened on that day at Omaha Beach.
This is a must do tour.

We had the bet time going to Normandy. We took the train out from Paris with our two kids and they loved it! We enjoyed riding on the bikes and learning about Dday. Manuel and Terry were so knowledgeable and great with the kids! Do not wait just do it!
