We had the great fortune of having David Chacon as our all-day tour guide in Barcelona. He is extremely knowledgeable about all-things Barcelona, and he imparted ongoing waves of knowledge to us, including many anecdotes with regard to local Catalan culture.
We were able to tour all of the Gaudi must-sees, including the breathtaking La Sagrada Familia. We also had a wonderful tapas lunch, and earlier, a stop for churros at a local cafe.
We had a walking tour of the Old Town and the Gothic Quarter, along with La Rambla, and the bustling, vibrant market, Mercat de la Boqueria, where we were able to sample some of the food, including delicious Iberian ham.
It was a comprehensive tour of Barcelona in a well-organized, fun day.
There is much walking during the first half of the tour, so be advised if you have any limitations with regard to being able to walk for an extended period of time.
If you do book the full-day private tour, or any other Barcelona tour, you will not find a more knowledgeable, passionate, or kinder person to guide you than David. A true gentleman.

Get ready for La Sagrada Familla. The most living Basílica on planet earth. It’s alive. It’s today. The private tour is the way to go. The architecture, the design, the sheer magnitude of the structure is overwhelming. You need a private guide to help you through. My guide was magnificent. I am still a bit overwhelmed by the experience of La Sagrada Família, but an expert guide is a great start.

David Chacon, was our guide. He truly was handpicked from God for us. Each spot he brought us to was described historically so beautifully that you felt you were there when Gaudí created it. The tour was perfectly paced and when we left I felt I had a rich history lesson and an appreciation for something I never knew existed. Our guide could not have been more well educated and informed about the history and intricacies of this cathedral, and the life of Gaudi. We spent an hour with him prior to even entering the doors, and learned so much more than from our two prior visits. He was exceptional.

The amount we spend outside will vary depending on the guide, the guests, and the weather conditions... but there is so much to take in on the Nativity Façade which is the Unesco World Heritage part of the Basilica. The Sagrada Familia is stunning and thanks to our tour guide Luce this was an exceptional experience! She was delightful company and extremely knowledgeable. We learned about the history, the religious symbolism, the vision of Gaudi...and so much more. Being first time visitors to Barcelona, Luce was able to give us insight and information about the city which was very helpful in planning the rest of our time. David gave us an awesome tour of Sagrada Familia! He brought all of the details to life and helped us appreciate Gaudi’s vision. My husband, 21 yo son, 19 yo daughter, and my father all enjoyed the tour. A private tour is the way to go if you like to ask a lot of questions! David also
gave us a terrific restaurant recommendation for lunch and it was delicious! I highly recommend David and this tour.

This was a very nice tour. My wife and I had visited the Sagrada Familia several times previously and this tour allowed us to just focus or refocus on those issues that were of most interest to us. This great Cathedral is continuing to near its 2026 completion and is truly spectacular.

Fernando was exceptional! We were a group of 8 and were very well attended to by Fernando. He was patient with all our questions (3 engineers in our group) and spent a good amount of time showing us the Sagrada Família. He provided many details of Gaudí and of the project.
Definitely recommend taking this tour!
