I booked a golden hour small group tour no more than 9 people. I got a tour with 30 people the sound on headphones was full if static could hardly hear our guide. The church is magnificent and the light coming through the stained glass was magical. Very disappointed in the company that Viator booked our tour with!

Such a great experience. Gemma was an amazing guide, she knows a lot of details and her enthusiasm was infectious. I don't often learn so much in 90 minutes! We had a private tour and it was wonderful, definitely worth it for us. Highly recommend.
We have used Viator for European tours for many years and we have always been pleased with the tour. In fact, we used Viator earlier this summer to send our daughter and her family to the Normandy Beaches from Paris and I recommended Viator to my daughter in Ireland for a tour she took a couple of weeks ago. I say this because we have always had a good experience until this one. This time we booked and paid for a 1.5 hour Segrada Familia Tour for Private and Small group because one person in our party is visually impaired and needs to walk at a slower pace. Instead we were put with a group of 23 people. The tour guide had us on her list of individuals for the tour. When I showed her the voucher of what we paid for, she called someone on our behalf who said we should go with them anyway, I suppose so we could at least go inside and see things. This experience has made me question solely using Viator in the future, I will look at other tour companies. I think we should receive a refund for this tour.

We have checked your reservation, and it was booked for our Small Private Group tour, which can have up to 20 participants.
We also offer a Small Premium Group tour, which is limited to a maximum of 9 participants and is available at a different price.

Tour guide was ok but there were a lot of side tangents that distracted from the presentation. Group was too large. Would have enjoyed a smaller tour
The tour itself was informative and interesting, but the logistics leading up to the beginning of it were subpar.
We were at the designated meeting point in plenty of time, along with other guests.
After the appointed time came and went, another guest came by and told us that the meeting point had changed to a different location so we all headed over there.
Upon arrival, there was no sign of the guide. At that point one guest called and was told that the guide was meeting us at the entrance to the Sagrada Família. So we moved, yet again.
We were all in one location. It would’ve been easier for the guide (who knows the city) to come find us, rather than the other way around. In addition, my husband has an injury that made walking a bit difficult and all the additional walking was taxing.
To make it all more confusing, during this time, I kept receiving automated updates to be at the original designated meeting point.

We sincerely apologize for any confusion caused throughout the meeting process with the guide. Due to the Tour de France, we informed you in advance that the meeting point had changed. As time was running short and we were concerned that your timed entry tickets could be affected, we asked you to meet the guide directly at the monument's entrance instead. We truly regret the inconvenience this situation caused and appreciate your understanding.
The tour guide was knowledgeable and thorough however we were disappointed to find out that the location was closing for a private event and were not allowed to access the museum and gift shop or explore on our own. If we would have had this information in advance, we would have canceled and rescheduled another date and/or time.

After taking the money from the card, cancelled over email the day before the tour. Impossible to contact them and now I need to try and get a refund , wasting more time (obviously not making it easy). Most likely it's a scam. Avoid avoid avoid.
We had a major scheduling issue with this tour. Viator had informed us several weeks earlier that our 11am tour was confirmed. The day before the tour, we received a text from the group supplying our guide that we would have to change our tour to 4:15 pm because not tickets were available for 11am. We spent considerable time texting Viator and the tour group asking why we were told that our tour was confirmed if they did not have tickets for that day and time. No real answers were forthcoming coming, other than they would refund our money if we did not want to come about 4:15. We decided to rearrange our other scheduled activities since we really wanted to see the Sagrada Família. Our actual guide for the tour was Daria and she was excellent! She told s that the cancellation occurred because the Sagrada Família staff cancelled a large number of tickets at the last minute in order to deal with preparations for upcoming events. This apparently happens on occasion. We think it is important that Viator be upfront and clear about this possibility. Saying a tour is “confirmed” when it is open to last minute changes is not accurate. In a city like Barcelona where many attractions need to be booked ahead of time, unexpected changes like the above can be very disruptive.
Sophie was the most upbeat and excited person to show us the masterpiece of Gaudi. Smart, educated and quite knowledgeable, spending more time than booked to insure our experience was the best. I highly recommend you ask for her. She has been doing this for ten years! Thank you!
While viewing the interior of the Sagrada Familia was extraordinary, we were disappointed to find that Viator had not booked our requested (and paid for!) tour up one of the towers. This took some of the gloss of our experience.
Also, make sure you time your visit for late afternoon, to coincide with the westering sunlight coming through the stained glass windows - the effect is stunning.
We really enjoyed our private tour with Carla. She has a wealth of historical knowledge about the Sagrada Família. She answered every question we had and was very easy to talk to. We were also so thankful she took many photos of us together which is hard to do when there are only two of you traveling. I would definitely recommend a private tour with Carla if you appreciate undivided attention.
Pictures do not do it justice. Amazing to see. A guide is worth the expense as the history is unbelievable. Highly recommend!
Easily the most beautiful man made site I've ever visited. Antoni Gaudí was a genius and you'll not be disappointed with this visit.

The guide (Crystal) was knowledgeble and helpful and gave lots of details to the actual construction and layout of the building. The Sagrada was breath taking and so very beautiful, and it is a must see, even if you are not religious.
booked in advance and have got confirmation AND vouchers for today, but then cancelled by Viator and no one feels responsible for a refund!!!! the local tour guide didn't even show up!!!!!!!!! :((( and the guy from the meeting point (Cerveseria Bavaria) told us, that it wasn't the first time that this happens with this tour operator....

We truly understand how frustrating this situation must have been, and we are very sorry for the experience you had.
Even when a reservation is made in advance and confirmed with vouchers, tickets for Sagrada Familia are not always fully guaranteed. The monument operates with a strictly limited capacity, and availability can be exhausted very quickly, especially during high-demand periods.
That said, this should never result in a lack of communication or assistance on the day of the tour. We sincerely regret that no guide was present and that you were left without proper support at the meeting point.
Regarding the cancellation made through Viator, refunds are typically managed directly by the platform. We strongly recommend contacting them with your booking reference, as they are responsible for processing the reimbursement.
We are truly sorry that this experience did not meet your expectations and understand your disappointment.
The person in charge of the tour was not organized she walk with no control where we was and was a lot people she didn’t had anything to recognize her - we get lost and a lot people from our group too was walking trying to find her -

I originally booked with a different group months before my travels to Barcelona which turned out to be a scam (Feel the City). I scrambled to find tickets last minute because the main reason of my travels to Barcelona was to see the Sagrada Família. I am so glad my original ticket didn’t work because this tour was amazing and highlight of my family trip to Barcelona! Olga was so kind. She patiently helped us find her at the meeting point when we got lost as first time Barcelona visitors. She is also so knowledgeable about Gaudí and the Basílica. Will definitely be back and try to book again with her when the Basílica is complete mañana 😉 I cannot give enough praises to Olga and Viator for making this dream come true. ❤️🇪🇸🙏

Sagrada Familia is amazing experience unlike no other. Breathtaking! Ruth, our tour guide was very kind, informative and illustrated the story beautifully. She was gracious to answer our many questions and we would have loved to have spent more time with her. What a wonderful way to spend part of our day in Barcelona.
