Overview
Visiting a working Cava producer outside Barcelona to learn the production process—and leave with a bottle you've labeled and corked yourself—requires local contacts and transport that most visitors don't have. This private workshop covers the origins and production of Cava at a winery with an onsite farmhouse, with tastings of at least three varieties and a bottling session included.

This was such an intimate and fun event. One of the favorite things I have done with visitors to our home in Barcelona. It was a small group. Excellent food and cava. Highly recommend. We took the train from the arc de triomfe stop to the exit passed Freixenet. Our guide picked us up at the train stop and returned us there as well.

The tour was fantastic, Marti was a really great guide and the place overall has a lovely, chill vibe. The communication with the venue was very smooth and the cava was delightful. Hopefully not our last time :)

We loved the entire experience, in no small part thanks to our host Santiago. He took care of us from beginning to end. Having grown up in the region where the wine is made, he has a personal connection to the place. He brought local color and intimate knowledge of their process of winemaking. Santiago is a charming and knowledgeable person and was the perfect guide.

We loved this experience. Santi was great as were the other employees we had contact with.
My only suggestion is that for the winery to improve their signage. We had to take a taxi to the winery and bc there was no sign saying it was ARTCAVA the taxi driver and we didnt know we were there actually in the right place so we spent $43 trying to find it. And bc of that we held up the whole group. Santi and the other guests were so nice about the delay. We throughly appreciated it that. I would highly recommend the experience, it was so fun. Thank you.

This experience was better than we ever hoped. We learned about Cava and the family atmosphere around its production. Santiago as our guide was absolutely amazing— knowledgeable, proud, funny, easy to be with. Being able to participate in all aspects of Cava production and to sample the final products was a once in a lifetime experience. One negative is that transportation was not provided and this facility is not easy to get to from Barcelona. Overall and outstanding and highly recommended experience

Had a great experience here and learned a lot about cava and wine production.
Very genuine friendly staff.
Even when we were delayed due to railroad constructions they were very accommodating.

Hands down one of the best days we spent near Barcelona! Santiago and Carla were fantastic hosts and made it the highlight of our trip. You can tell how much they love the winery. Also, Santiago made us a delicious lunch - it was one of our favorite meals we had in Spain. I genuinely cannot recommend this enough!

My husband and I are well traveled. This experience was one of the best we've had and certainly one we'll always remember. Santiago and Carla were charming hosts. We adored learning about Cava, tasting the product, and trying our hands at bottling it ourselves. Trust us- you don't want to miss out on this experience.

Carla was a great host. Our time at Cellar Can Batlle and learning about cava was better than we expected--and the food was great too. The location is very accessible by train from Barcelona and the staff very responsive. We want to go back!

What a day! My family and I went to ARTCAVA to celebrate my 31st Birthday over Thanksgiving in 2021. Carla, our lovely host, was an absolute delight! She was informative, conversational and supportive through the Cava making process. We learned a lot about the process and the history of the vineyard which was a great start to our day. We then divulged in some lovely tastings and great conversation throughout the 3 cavas we tried. We then went to the production area to bottle our own "self-made" bottles. After making our bottles and shipping them home (which I highly recommend to commemorate your experience, she offered to drive us into town and suggested a nice late lunch restaurant. Would DEFINITELY visit again!

Absolutely incredible day at Artcava. Not only was the Cava excellent but I lost count of how many tastings I had consumed. The tour was full circle, from learning about the history of the estate to completing the bottling process (which you got to keep) it was a complete Cava experience. Our tour guide was incredible and she served us an incredible traditional Catalan lunch.

This trip was so great, we got lost and took the wrong train and they still catered to us despite showing up an hour late, we had a great tasting of Cava 4 or 5 glasses and then also had our bottle to take home. Very friendly owners and was a great tour!

I booked this for my parents and overall the trip was good but the promise of designing your own label was not all it seemed. All you could do was rearrange the wineries own labels which is hardly what I call design. Both my parents though this was misleading. Please change the description.

I would 100% recommend this. The vineyard was very intimate and our tour guide, Ramon, was incredibly knowledgeable. This was my first time visiting a vineyard and it was the perfect introduction. The cava tasting was very relaxing and fun, and making your own bottle of cava was a special experience

De gisds was super enthousiast en in voor een dolletje. Hij wist ons van alles te vertellen over de cava’s. Daarnaast was de lunch super uitgebreid met vooraf een lekkere salade met cava, kaas en ham.
Als hoofdgerecht kregen we een heerlijke kippenpoot en we kregen zelfs een toetje.
