Meeting point debacle

Extremely disappointed. I booked 6 months ago and arrived on time only to find noone there. Turned out my ticket from Viator indicated the wrong meeting point. The Tour operator didn't respond when I contacted them and Viator refused to provide a refund despite it being an issue with the link in my Viator email.

NOT WORTH THE MONEY!!! It should cost a handful of euros to walk thru. A tour is NOT necessary and ITS DEFINITELY not worth the money.

Booked this tour several months ago. Got a message the evening before (while I was on WiFi at the hotel) from the tour company that due to “operational issues” they were unable to provide the guided tour but would send us tickets for the scheduled time. I agreed to this because we wanted to see Casa Batllo. I was advised to contact Viator for a refund for the guided portion of the tour. They refunded me $41. But, I never got the tickets. The following day we left the hotel mid morning to see other locations in Barcelona. We showed up at the appointed time (3:00 pm) thinking someone would be there and give us the tickets. There were six people waiting for the tour. I was the only one that got the message about the “operational issues”. The other two couples received a full refund. (I know this because I ran into them on our cruise shop later in the week.) Viator, based on what they say the tour company is telling them, would not refund me for the ticket portion. (I paid $128. They refunded me $41 for the guided tour.) One thing to note is that a person at the meeting location says this happens frequently when it rains. The tour operator just doesn’t show up. I have used Viator many times before. Never had an issue. But, this time the tour operator that Viator uses refuses to agree to a refund. We are now out another $72 because we had to buy tickets at the walk up window.

We arrived a little before the required time and never show our guide. I had accidently signed up for bilingual tour. Which I was ok with. Maybe no one else signed up. Never received notification that he/she was standing in a certain spot. Went around to all the groups standing around and they were on walking tours. Never saw the Gold ticket umbrella. So We never went on the tour through Viator. What I ended up doing was purchasing 2 ticket on my own for my friend and I to go through the house. I would like a refund and right not I am not sure how I go about doing that. Believe me I looked for the tour guide and even the staff at Casa Batllo tried to help. End result, very is a appointed and would give zero stars to this.

Not worth to spend this much money to see this just a house. Even we specifically chose English guided tour, it was difficult to understand the guide.

Great tour. The house was interesting, but very crowded. Then again, these days all tourist sites are crowded. Our guide did an excellent job explaining the Batllo's interior and exterior. She made the tour Great due to her passion for Batllo's architecture. She also told us about the 2 houses next to it which was a nice addition to learn about. A real bonus to this tour was the inclusion of the illumination room. It was so cool and so fun to experience.
