We weren’t sure how jet lagged we would be so decided this tour would be a great way to relax and see some of the North Island while traveling to Rotorua. We had a couple of quick stops on the way for food and bathroom breaks then arrived at Wai-O-Tapu in time to see the Lady Knox geyser erupt. Enjoyed our walk to see all the colorful geothermal pools then we were taken to the Polynesian spa to relax in the lakeside natural pools. The acidic and alkaline pools were different temps and had therapeutic properties and the cold plunge pool was a delight in between. Really blissful and felt so good after our 13 hour flight from LA. We purchased some nice sandwiches and delicious ice cream from the spa. Our driver and guide, Matt was really outstanding. He shared so much interesting information about the areas we drove through and NZ in general. Would highly recommend doing this tour!

Jason was a nice tour...

Jason was a nice tour guide who made a point to speak to everyone and learn all names. He shared a lot of facts along the tour and was also pretty funny. Wai O Tapu was cool to see- we had time to explore on our own. The Polynesian Spa was nice, but a bit boring. I am not sure I would book that option again given the price.

So relaxing, enjoyed the heated beds and the beautiful scenery, several spa bathes to enjoy, passed on the polar plunge but many were doing it

This was an amazing trip. The tour guide was knowledgeable and despite it being a rainy day, we were still able to enjoy all the activities to the fullest. The tour was expertly planned and intentionally navigated. I highly recommend it!

A long day, well worth it.

This was a great day visit to Rotorua! It’s an early start, but totally worth it. Along the drive you’ll see the beautiful countryside and when you arrive in Rotorua, it’s lovely. We got to make a pitstop in the Rose Gardens before we went to the lady Knox Geiser! OK, I was totally surprised that they force it to erupt, but I guess when you’re on a tourist’s schedule… Te Puia is a nice walk with a variety of different types of mud baths, pools of all colors, and interesting terrain. But the highlight of the trip was the Polynesian spa! The tubs are lovely, with a lush landscape, a variety of temperatures for everyone, and so relaxing! It was the highlight of the trip. Our guy, Jason was awesome, and artfully managed to pick up some drops at different places during the day. He got two of us to the Spa 45 minutes early, so we got extra time, which was appreciated I would definitely recommend this trip for anybody who loves scenic, nature, and Hot Springs!

Relaxing and educational day

Jason (JJ) was a great guide for the day. He has a good sense of humor and is an efficient driver. He provided a lot of good information about local customs. Seeing Lady Knox Geyser erupt was really cool. The thermal pools in the park were fascinating and like nothing we can see in Ohio (where we are from). The Polynesian Spa was so relaxing, and it was fun to try the different pools. Very peaceful area, perfect way to spend the last day in New Zealand. Made friends in the can along the way. A great day!

It was a perfect day! The pick-up was on time, and our driver, Jason, was excellent. He was very helpful, knowledgeable about New Zealand, and extremely polite and friendly. He even took us to additional sightseeing spots beyond the program. The nature was incredible, and the spa was the cherry on top. I would definitely recommend this tour!
