We traveled to Athens for a few days and booked a ceramic-making class. The experience itself was enjoyable. However, despite the details stating that finished items could be shipped, the owner was unresponsive, took several weeks to reply, and was slow to provide even a photo of the final product. Additionally, there was little flexibility regarding courier options, even though other alternatives were available. It would have been nice to receive the item as a souvenir from the experience.

We truly enjoyed the pottery class. It was a wonderful experience where we learned many interesting facts about pottery and gained hands-on practice. The instructor was exceptionally patient, supportive, and attentive throughout the session. He kindly even arranged coffee for us, which added a warm and thoughtful touch to the experience. Overall, it was a delightful and educational activity that we would definitely recommend.

Uninformed, uncomfotable, info not available from the start, the people were fine though, interesting, polite.. Info isnt available when booking. Did you know it takes 5 to 6 days to dry, then 2 days in the stove, and then another days work of glazing? And that process is not included in the price, and not included anyway? Did you know your work will be recycled? That you are not able to fly with your work? That you only have exactly 2 hrs and be rushed out? I expected more.

Unfortunately, this was a disappointing activity.

We feel that there was a discrepancy between the description of this workshop and our experience. Half way through the session, when he was speaking to another customer, he identified that we were there for the experience only and that there were extra costs involved in being able to take our pieces home with us as in his words we had paid only for “the experience”. We tried to explain how we felt that we had been mislead by the wording of the “what’s included” section and were not expecting to have to pay extra for the firing and glazing of our pieces because it states that what’s included is the “construction of a usable piece”. By his own admission, it cannot be a usable piece unless it is fired and glazed. In trying to clarify what he meant, in contrast with what was stated in the description, he became quite aggressive (which he apologised for afterwards and blamed it on being an artist) and very rude. This created a very uncomfortable atmosphere for the remainder of the workshop. We all agreed that it would be best for future customers for this wording to be changed and for the advert to be clearer and he said that he would change it. We were going to refrain from leaving any review as we only like to leave positive ones, however, no changes have been made to this page since our visit. Therefore, we believe it’s still unclear for future customers. Should visitors consider attending this workshop in future, we believe it is important for you to be aware of the following points: - Firing and glazing of your piece is not included. - “Option of picking up from the studio or shipping your piece back home upon request.” 1. We wrongly assumed that a few days would be sufficient time to pick up our pieces. The artist stated a three week waiting period. 2. Delivery cost is directly linked to the weight of the piece you create. Therefore, bear this in mind at the beginning when choosing the size of your piece, as the price jumps considerably. We hope that this is helpful to future visitors.

Perfect for Aspiring Artists

We went as a family with 3 children (10, 8, and 3). The artist did a fantastic job teaching at each individuals’ pace, level of understanding, and level of interest. While there may be more ‘thrilling’ activities out there, this was a home-run for my daughter and a really nice change of pace from other attractions. Highly recommended. Only downside is that you don’t keep the pottery - which makes sense given pottery needs to dry for a week then be put in a kiln for a long period.

The activity was great, very relaxing and therapeutic. The only reason as to why I’m giving a 3 star is because I am still waiting for the ceramics to be delivered. I did a workshop end of November, paid for the delivery for the ceramics for when they will be ready. They said that it will take roughly about 2 months as they can be busy. I’ve waited but never really got any updated about anything until I message 2 months later. My messages have been ignored and there has always been a problem with the posting and I get no update what so ever for it from them. I understand that they can be busy but they read the messages and never get back to it. It’s very frustrating.

We had a good time but we could not get back in any way the pieces we mad. When we tried to contact back / pass by the shop to get the pieces we faced a very unprofessional behaviour from the owner that didn't want to give our pieces back.

My daughter and I had such a wonderful experience. The teacher was so knowledgeable and patient and we learned so much. We also met another person in the class who we enjoyed. The class was just the three of us and the teacher. I would highly recommend this workshop.

The pottery workshop was fun and amazing. The local artist, Paylos, is such a nice guy. He gave us simple instructions and explained the theory behind that. He encouraged us to use our creativity and imagination to create our own piece of work. This experience ignites my interest in pottery and ceramic and I believe I will try more in the future. At the end of workshop, you can choose to collect your piece of work after 2 weeks or ship it to your country with a fee of €35 per piece. As these were our first pieces of pottery and we love them so much, of course we chose to ship them. Overall, this js a very interactive and inspiring workshop. Very good activity for family and friends.

I would have given 5 stars but the overview description on Viator stated the use of the electric pottery wheel. We only did a hand building project. However Pavlos made it fun and my family did have a great experience at the studio. I think the description should be clear as to what to expect, because the other family that was there also expected to use the wheel as well.
