We had a very enjoyable day with Manos. He was very knowledgeable and informative about the Battle of Marathon, the modern Marathon, and local culture in general. He picked us up on time, gave us plenty of time at each of our stops, and was flexible with our itinerary - letting us drop a planned stop and add an unplanned stop.

A wonderful 6 hour, fully customizable private tour with our driver Eirini. She picked us up at the cruise port exactly on time and took us to see only the parts of Marathon and the Marathon course that interested us. Eirini was a terrific guide. We went to the Marathon start line, the Running museum, the Olympic stadium where the marathon finishes, and stopped at the Athens library to see the winners cup from the first actual Athens Marathon. We then were dropped at a beautiful seaside tavern for a delicious lunch before being dropped at the airport for our evening flight out. A great way to spend the day and Eirini is a great person to get to know. Highly recommended.

Good tour for runners and history fans

Our guide was informative and also curious. We loved hearing about Athens history and telling him our marathon stories. He never rushed us and found us a very nice snack/meal. The starting line for the marathon was humbling. The race museum was awesome with history and something for about every nationality.
