Stavros was wonderful. He was extremely knowledgeable and explained everything to us (family of 4 with two children ages 11 and 8) in a way that was easy to understand and that was super interesting and relevant. He was also super flexible with our schedule and timing, and patient with all of our questions especially from the kids. I would HIGHLY recommend this!!!

Our guide Stavios was on time and easy to locate. He was beyond expectations in descripting the various sites and has an unbelievable knowledge of Greek history and presented it cleary. His english is very good and kept us all in tune with what he was communcating.. I rate this tour as a high value for the cost and would recommend it to anyone who is interested in Athens. As a side note Stavios helped us getting into our airbnb at the end of the tour which was a very nice touch.

our guide stravos made all the different. punctual. friendly, informative, passionate about history and economics, it was a joy to see the places with him and have conversations with him. he was attentive to my dad mom, me and my teen son. he knew so much about the politics, the history, the myths. - absolute delight. please please visit Athens with him.

Stavros was waiting for us at the cruise terminal and immediately began our tour. From the very beginning he educated us with his colorful and detailed history of Athens and the Athenean people. Our first stop was the Acropolis where Stavros explained in detail many of the sights and their significance. Upon arrival he got us our tickets (which was unexpected and very much appreciated as he was able to get them without waiting in the long tourist line). After enjoying the Acropolis we called and Stavros was there to pick us up in minutes. We then stopped at several stops including the old Olympic Stadium and the Temple of Greece. At each Stavros again provided a great deal of details which made each more interesting to the group. We then stopped in front of the Presidents residence to see the changing of the guards. This was better viewing than we had last time in Athens where we watched from the square again thanks to Stavros. We then went to the Plaka for a bite to eat and shopping. We agreed to a pick up time and place and Stavros was right on time. Last stop was to be Mt Lycabetttus but there was a fire warning on our day and the mountain was shut to visitors. At this point our day was over and Stavros brought us back to our ship happier and more educated than when we started. Highly recommend this tour and Stavros in particular. Thank you Stavros!

Stavros picked me up right outside of the Athens port and discussed what I wanted to see. He and I discussed many areas of the Greek culture. He completely briefed me about the Acropolis prior to dropping me off at the entrance, which was easy to get into since he was able to buy a ticket ahead of time, thus avoiding the ticket queue. Gave me as much time as I wanted at the Acropolis and then I asked him to take me to the museum. Fascinating place that links to what I had just seen at the Acropolis. I asked him to take me to the Temple of Zeus and passed the old Olympic stadium on the way. I then needed to get back to the ship, so I asked him to take me to the souvenir shop and to drop me off. Loved the discussions that we had, as they were back-and-forth discussions. You cannot go wrong with Stavros and I would highly recommend him. He is extremely knowledgeable in Greek history as well as religious history. Enjoyed the private tour!!

My friend and I spent the day with Stavros touring the major sights. This was a wonderful tour. Stavros met us right on time at our hotel. He was very personable and extremely knowledgeable. We had great discussions ranging from the ancient philosophers to the modern political and economic situations in Greece. We started at the Acropolis early in the morning which allowed us to beat most of the crowds. Stavros gave us a very detailed history of the Acropolis and then let us explore the ruins for about 45 minutes. We saw many more sights, including the changing of the guard and the Temple of Zeus. We were dropped off in the Plaka for lunch with good recommendations for restaurants and shops. Stavros suggested we visit the markets, which we are glad we did. The meat market gave a new meaning to fresh meats. After lunch, we went by the government buildings and the top of Lycabettus Hill for a view over the entire city. This was a great tour and Stavros was the perfect guide. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
