We were very lucky and had the best experience mostly because we got the best tour guide, Joy, from CHAT TOUR. Joy speaks beautiful English with American accent which made us so comfortable and easy to understand.
She is so knowledgeable and has extremely good ability on storytelling. She articulate so well about Ancient Greece’s mythological and historical stories. We love her and agree that she is the best tour guide we ever had. The bus driver is also very experienced and made our bus trip so smooth and pleasant. CHAT also arranged very good hotel for us. We were a group of 11 and had a driver and tour guide. We feel very much appreciated for they made my Greek experience best.

This was one of our highlights of Greece. We hadn't really done a bus trip like this before and we found it to be really well organised and engaging.
The itinerary was well spaced out with plenty of stops. Our guide was excellent and really made the difference between seeing a historical site and understanding it.
My favourite places were Olympia and Delphi. I'd seen people online say that Olympia wasn't worth it but the guide was so good at explaining the site that I actually loved it.
The accommodation was also fantastic, especially Delphi. We had beautiful views down through the valley.
I would highly recommend this trip.

A good overview of the major archaeological sites. Plenty of time to visit both museums and sites. The administration of the tour was a bit chaotic at the beginning but once we got going it was fine. The hotels were rather dated but mostly adequate

I loved this tour! If you like learning about Greek history, archaeology, and culture, look no further. The guide (Rose) was incredible, very knowledgeable, and friendly. The hotels were beautiful and the included buffet dinners were delicious. I really enjoyed visiting Delphi and Olympia. Both sites were really interesting. Highly recommend!

This tour was incredibly insightful. Our guide was like an encyclopedia! He knew every little detail and wanted to share them. The hotels were absolutely fabulous. The Amalia brand is wonderful! The sights we stopped at were perfect for those who want a taste of Ancient Greece. My only complaints, provide a better itinerary both on the viator platform and to the participants, include driving times, locations of overnight stays and any free time/down time. We knew what sights we would see but we didn’t have any other information until late in the game. Also, our
Guide was great, but we spent ALOT of time at each sight. Maybe a lot information could be given in the bus. We only saw half of the things at Olympus and didn’t have much down time. Lastly, whispers are terrible. Maybe an app or Bluetooth or something else.

This tour was fantastic! I went with my parents and they don’t have the easiest time getting around mobility wise and they did great in this tour. It was set at a good pace and wasn’t too strenuous. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. We did the three day tour but they put you in with the four day tour and seperate you on day three after lunch, this could be made more clear as we were worried at first we were in the wrong bus lol. Also they make you wait for like 2 hours at the restaurant to take a different bus home on the third day and it would be better if they let you explore the town and shop instead of waiting around the restaurant. We were quoted to get back in town by 1750 on day three but didn’t get back until well after 8. Our pick up was late and then there was traffic. Not their fault but we spent hours at the restaurant and would have liked to be doing other things.
We brought cat food with us as there were lots of hungry kitties everywhere we went and up at the temples/sites. If you’re an animal lover I recommend keeping some treats on you!
We stayed at hotel Amala in Delphi the first night (a first class option) and it was beautiful. Stunning views and quick walk to town. Dinner was a bit late in the evening at 8:15 but was tasty. You have to pay additional for beer and wine but prices were very decent. Dinner was a Greek buffet. Something for everyone.
The next night we stayed at hotel Amalya Olympia and it was not bad. Dinner was another late night buffet but it wasn’t kept hot and the fish was cold. The lack of temperature was disappointing. Breakfast was better.
The bus makes a bathroom stop like every hour which was convenient. Just wasn’t enough time for a cup of coffee or tea and you can’t bring on the bus.
I really recommend this tour, you see so much!
Remember to tip your guide, they deserve a little love. I was shocked by how many people didn’t leave anything. What’s 10-20 euro for a job well done?

The tour guide Stathe was amazing! Super knowledgeable and passionate about Greek mythology interspersed with humorous anecdotes. Having Stathe as our tour guides enhanced our knowledge and understanding of Greek history and makes me want to learn more.

Very informative but be prepared for long coach rides. You will learn alot about antiquity. Unfortunately our guide never helped us off the bus and we needed it. He knew his subject well however we felt overwhelmed with information at the time. Our guide had an encyclopediac memory.

Be prepared for hot, dry conditions in summer. The tour is not easy in hot conditions, but it is worth it and doable if you are willing to give it a go! The sites are amazing, guides are wonderful and knowledgeable, and the drivers are skilled and professional. Our Guide Domi and driver Costas were exceptional. Communication with booking company in terms of itinerary was less than perfect. Bring cash for tour lunches and tourist shops on the tour as they often don't accept card.

The bus rides were a bit long but you’re traveling all over Greece. The tour guide did a great job telling us about the history of Greece and letting some part of the ride just be peaceful views of the countryside. The sites we saw were beautiful and historically rich. The hotels were excellent and the food was far beyond our expectations (and we can be kind of picky). We are very glad we did this tour. We traveled with three kids, ages 16, 14 and 11.

Where do I begin…I had such an amazing time on this tour. Everything was so well organized which made the 3 days go so smoothly. Our guide, Joy, was awesome and knew so much about everything. I appreciated her passion, her stories and knowledge. The hotels we stayed in were beautiful and the staff were awesome. Delphi and Olympia were incredible and having Joy there to share so much history with us made it perfect. The short stop in Nafplio was so special too. What a beautiful town. It was nice to have everything planned and taken care of for me. I would definitely book through Chattours again!

A great tour! Our guide, Jordan, really knew his stuff and was happy to share his knowledge with us. In addition to the wonderfully interesting educational experience, the views driving around can't be beat. The Amalia Hotels were all comfortable and nice to stay at.

The guide makes the journey memorable, in this case it was Joy. This tour was the end of a 2 week stay in several parts of Greece and Turkey. We had 8 tour guides from different companies then Joy with Chatours who was far and above the best! A day with Joy is filled with, history lessons, language lessons, art appreciation, geology and of course archeology all rolled into delightful story telling. She was completely engaging. The trip ran like clockwork. All the guests were a lovely group from around the globe. The hotels and the food were good.
I won't remember all the names of places and sites we visited but I will remember the stories and the pleasureable experience. I would recommend this tour to other travelers.
Shout out to George the bus driver who made sure everyone's luggage was loaded after each hotel stay and was also the only bus driver in 9 tours who ask passengers to wear the seat belts! Safety first!

This three-day trip covers several widely-separated ancient sites in southern Greece, but it is well-organized and moves along at the perfect pace. Our knowledgeable and amusing guide Xenia provided interesting background information that allowed us to more fully understand and appreciate the significance of each area. Her anecdotes and asides kept the “lectures” from becoming dry or boring. She is the teacher that every student loved to have because she is able to communicate essential points AND to respond in depth to traveler’s questions. Xenia is truly one of the best guides I have encountered in my twenty-plus trips to Europe.
The rest stops and bathroom breaks were thoughtfully scheduled, and the site visits involving extended walking were never too tiring—even for this 75-year-old woman with knees that have seen better days. Kudos to Xenia for nearly always finding shady spots to stop and provide information during our walking tours.
Delphi was a real highlight (even though I did not climb all the way up to the stadium at the top in the 88 degree heat). Its small but excellent museum highlights key pieces found at the site and provides informative labels in both Greek and English.
Finally, the Amalia hotels—particularly the one in Delphi—are comfortable and offer relaxing amenities even though they handle multiple tour groups every single day. Everyone can find something to enjoy in their buffet meals, the pools are great (according to my friend), and the bars provide a relaxing gathering place with very reasonable prices. In summation, this 3-day tour was a terrific experience and a real bargain—the best possible way to see Corinth, Delphi, Epidaurus, Olympia, and Mycenae. (There is no way in the world that I would be willing to drive on those roads!)

This tour was the highlight of our stay in Greece. Very little did go wrong, and when a hiccup did occur, our Chat Tours guide - Dimitri - would quickly sort it out. Our guide was knowledgeable and went beyond duty in attending to everybody's needs for comfort and information.

Good: our guide Georgiana was excellent and provided a lot of great information and you could definitely tell she cared.
Bad: our bus driver told us not to worry about our luggage when we got to the hotels. I highly recommend supervising him to make sure that he gets everything. He left a suitcase in the bus that I needed to get ready for dinner. They brought the suitcase that night but it arrived after dinner.
Ugly: so when we got to the stop I was waiting by the bus, the driver took my bags. This was around 824 and the bus is supposed to leave at 830. I walked over to a street market to grab a quick iced can coffee and I look up and the bus is driving. It is 825. My partner was on the bus screaming that I wasn’t on the bus and I was running after it. The driver finally stopped 4 city blocks after to let me on the bus. This level of service wasn’t acceptable at all. If it was 830 I would understand but it was 825. Make sure you are 20 minutes early and on the bus by 820 just to be safe.

We have to remind you that you forgot on the bus your personal belonges when you dropped off at your hotel without checking if you have all your staff with you and not the driver who have to continue the drop off to the other hotels.
We investigated your case and the driver when cleaned the bus found your bag on the bus up of your seats and deliver it to you.
When is departure time you have to be always earlier and not leave the bus last minute to go for coffee and the same happends at the airports , ports and trains.

We were on an English speaking bus. We had a great time and our guide was very knowledgeable and our driver was awesome! There was no hesitation when my friend needed a pharmacy and the guide went with her to translate for her. We did not get to make one tour as Greece designated that day as a holiday. I was disappointed as I wanted to have my picture taken at THE LIONS GATE in ancient Mycenae. I know that this was not the tour’s problem. The hotels and meals were excellent.

We had an incredible time with a very experienced guide and driver. Yiota and George were a great pair! Yiota provided plenty of historical information, mythology, Greek stories, and humor. The bus was comfortable, the tours at historical sites were superb, and the whole group learned a lot in a fun way. We were all family for the three days, and it was hard to say goodbye.

Similar experience with past reviews that first day was slightly packed with little time to explore the sites. It didn’t help that our guide was slightly young and inexperienced. While she was helpful and did her job to tell the facts but we had more fun tagging along other guides who were better at storytelling when visiting the sites. She was also slightly confused about the logistics especially on the last day as our groups had visitor of 3and 4 days tour and had to be split.
