It was shocking to think these few were able to stay hidden as long as they did. The horror of the Nazi hatred really hits home and makes me so sick to think of such evil. The terrible way JEWS and others that protested were treated is enough to make my stomach turn and my heart ache.

Krijn was a very informative and enthusiastic guide. Much was learned. A sad narrative but learned a lot.

This is truly one of the best tours to take if you are interested in the historical true story aspect of what happened during this period of time for the people affected. It is very emotional and moving tour, it may not be pleasant to hear, but necessary to know and feel. Our tour guide was Luuk and he was excellent, he brought the historical stories and experiences to life by the way he shared them. I highly recommend.

We signed up for the tour through the aviator website. The tour was less than $4.00 a person. When we arrived at the tour meeting location we found out it was a free tour. We were glad we had signed up ahead of time. It was worth the $4.00.

Historical tour by a local. Sebastian did an amazing job. His reference to personal perspective and use of historical visuals (documents/maps) helped bring the story of Annalise Frank and many others like her alive for those two hours.
Response from Host, Jan 2026

A great walking tour of Amsterdam. Sebastian our guide was very knowledgeable on the history of Amsterdam and the Anne Frank story. Well worth doing this tour.
Nicole_M, Dec 2025
The tour was fast paced and informative. We covered a lot of territory and our guide shared a wealth of knowledge on and off topic.
Greg_P, Dec 2025
It’s not a tour of Anne frank house like they make it seem.
Big scam and disappointment as we were hoping to tour the house.
Response from Host, Dec 2025
Thank you Greg for taking the time to share your feedback. I am sorry to hear that the tour was not what you expected.
Everywhere we can we try to make it very clear that this is a walking tour about the life of Anne Frank and the history of Amsterdam during the Second World War. It is not a ticket to the Anne Frank House itself and the tour does not go inside the museum. I am sorry if this was not fully clear when you booked.
Just to explain a bit for future guests. During the walk we talk about Anne’s life before and during the war, what she could have seen and heard from the Secret Annex and how the city around her changed in those years. Many guests join us either as an extra experience after visiting the house or as an alternative when tickets are not available.
Still, I would like to understand where the confusion happened. Could you let me know where you saw information that made you think the tour included entrance to the Anne Frank House This helps us improve the way we communicate and avoid misunderstandings.
Thank you again for your review and I wish you a great stay in Amsterdam.

lots of historical information of the city of Amsterdam during the 2nd world war. Unfortunately, the real house of Anne Frank was underwhelming, but that's not the tour guide's fault.
Response from Host, Nov 2025

Was great and very informative. Craig was delightful. NOTE: This tour does not include the Anne Frank museum or house tour

Our product page mentions that we don't go inside the house, so I assume the lost point wasn't meant for that. Whatever constructive criticism you may have, you are welcome to share with us directly.

We enjoyed this experience even though some of the details may be too upsetting for a younger child. Craig was able to adapt the tour to take that into account for us. I visited Amsterdam many years ago and is the first time I’ve done a walking tour in a new city. I’d definitely do it again as it’s such a great way to get your bearings and get a good introduction to the city.
Response from Host, Nov 2025
Thank you for sharing your experience. We’re really happy to hear you enjoyed the Free Anne Frank Tour in Amsterdam with Craig. Thank you for joining.
