Simon was awesome! He was very friendly and knowledgeable. He shared so much good information and did it in a fun manner. We would 100% recommend this excursion. We learned so much about the Netherlands, its history and its people and ways of life. Fascinating!

Our tour guide Adrian was fantastic. Really enjoyed learning a lot about the Netherlands reclaiming land from the sea, and all of the different cultures that surround this circular route that we took. Highly recommend.

The Discover the Netherlands tour guided by Simon was excellent and provided more than we expected. We wanted to see the impressive Dutch water management construction projects and the historic towns outside of Amsterdam and were very happy with the results. Simon is an experienced and professional guide who provided a lot of information, happily answered any question, and also knew when to talk with his customers and when to let the experience of seeing impressive water management projects and walking around historic towns sink in. We would happily go on other tours led by Simon.

It’s a relaxing experience, not so much walking but you’ll see the best views and learn the history of each places we visit. Simon is an awesome guide, he didn’t pressure us with the time.

The entire tour from beginning to end was wonderful and informative. Our tour guide, Simon was professional and super nice, the historical info he gave in each providence/town made history come alive. We had fun and had a wonderful lunch. Highly recommend this tour. Small group so we didn’t get rushed and we stopped in towns that didn’t get jammed packed with tourists. Our tour guide was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Take this tour if you want to see the Dutch countryside at a leisurely pace.

Had such a great time on this tour, it really felt like an authentic look at the Netherlands outside of Amsterdam. Of course the iconic windmills and clogmaking of Zaanse Schans were a must see, but doing them in the morning avoided the biggest crowds and opened up the day for additional sights that were further afield. Getting to cross the enclosing dike, a true engineering marvel, on the way to one of Friesland’s 11 famous towns was a unique experience, and the town of Sloten itself did not disappoint. Nor did the village of Urk with its well-known lighthouse and the medieval village of Elburg complete with an entrance gate dating to 1392. Adriaan was a fun, friendly, and thoughtful guide throughout and I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone looking to do something a little different while in Amsterdam.
