Amsterdam Light Festival Canal Tour

Disappointed in the Light Festival Canal tour. The light displayed were not holiday oriented and very spread out. When we got to the location we were told to get on a specific boat. It was not fully enclosed as the picture shows. There ended up only being 3 of us on the boat. It appeared KIN had other boats,with more people, so not sure why we were put on this one. I will say our Captain/Tour Guide was very knowledgeable and did a good job.

Please note that they will not allow passengers on for anything past 5pm on New Year’s Eve because it is dangerous. I totally respect and understand that but why allow to book for a later time? I was told I was called and emailed (I checked in case I missed it but I have nothing in my junk folder or inbox or voicemail but spam calls from the states) that the last boat ride would be at 5pm. They told me I could do it tomorrow but I already have other things planned . I was also told to email someone but with so much going on I couldn’t hear him and I don’t see an email here either.

perfect light festival boat tour

a very nice boat with some Christmas lights, the boat is also heated inside so that is very nice. In the boat the crew served us with some drinks, we had gluhwein and tea, but there is also other alcoholic drinks and soft drinks. During the tour we had an English audio tour. The tour itself took around 75 minutes, on certain points of the canals the captain drove as slow as possible so we could make enough good pictures. I recommend this boat tour to everyone it was really nice, when i come back to Amsterdam I will book for sure again with Kinboat.
