make sure they wear their walking shoes because it is going to be lots of walking. Make sure they can go up the hills. It was a great experience.
Well informed cruise and worth taking the time on the island to fully understand the history . Book online for the best price
The ferry drop off and pick up was on schedule. The loading and unloading moved quickly. The Alcatraz audio tour of the cells was great. We really enjoyed that. It was cloudy the day we went, but if it was clearer, the views of San Francisco would be amazing. I would highly recommend this tour.
I had a great time learning about Alcatraz and its history. I hope more people go and take the time to visit the Native American exhibit to learn more about the peaceful protest. It was a lot of walking and it felt cold on the island so I recommend wearing comfortable shoes and warm clothes.
Visited Alcatraz Island today by ferry and it was such an interesting experience. The audio headset tour around the prison cells was excellent — hearing the stories and accounts of what life was like for prisoners really brought the island’s history to life. A fascinating and very well organised tour with amazing views of San Francisco too!
If you’re born in the 90’s or before and a fan of COD! This place is so nostalgic!! And some crazy history on it! Totally worth it!
We never received the boat tickets because they didn’t work. We need refunds for the tickets that we didn’t get.
