Salzburgh was beautiful

Robert was great! He was very informative and a great driver, especially having to drive back in a major thunder storm. We thought there were going to be 15 on our tour but ended up only 4 of us which was really, really nice. If your visiting Vienna definately visit Salzburg and if possible plan on spending a couple of days. You won't regret it.

Starting with the lighter...

Starting with the lighter part of the day, the bus ride is enjoyable as we passed through some very scenic areas and Clara, our tour guide on the bus was informative and helpful. The Mauthausen concentration camp itself was, as expected, a very sobering experience. The camp is located on a hill just outside the town with tranquil views of the surrounding countryside. The reality of the unspeakable suffering that was inflicted upon the prisoners is hard to comprehend. Elena, our guide at the camp was excellent, bringing a great deal of knowledge and sensitivity to a very difficult subject. A very thought-provoking, disturbing but worthwhile visit.

The Best Way to Experience Melk, Hallstatt, and Salzburg in One Day

If you take this tour, you can expect to feel that you did not have enough time in Melk, Hallstatt, and/or Salzburg. Thirteen hours is simply not enough time to fully appreciate all three. To the credit of our driver, D, he did an excellent job of advising us based on our individual interests. Although my wife would have been satisfied with 60 minutes at the monastery in Melk, I needed 90 minutes because I have a strong interest in history. My wife and I found 60 minutes to be more than enough time to stroll through the small, picturesque town of Hallstatt, but may people comment in their review that they would have preferred to spend more time in Hallstatt. Upon arrival in Salzburg, we had 2.5 hours to see the Mirabell Gardens (15 minutes), Mozart's Birthplace (45 minutes), and the Fortress (45 minutes). (The remaining 45 minutes was spent walking from one sight to another.) My wife and I have a strong interest in classical music and were disappointed that we couldn't spend at least another 30 minutes in Mozart's Birthplace. By the time we reached the Fortress by cable car at 5 PM, all of the Fortress museums were closing. Our driver, D, was very personable and a great conversationalist which made the long drives between destinations quite enjoyable.

A day trip to Hallstatt from Vienna

it is a long ride between Vienna to Hallstatt but it is worth it. We stopped for a very short time to see the Ort Castle and the lake. Beautiful place and beautiful pictures then we arrived to Hallstaff and enjoyed 3 hrs there. Fantastic. But what it made it better was Olga, the guide, she was very good. In total a very nice day.

Fantastic

Very interesting experience. Our guide Lilly provided lots of information and even some musical pieces related to the history of the places we visited. I would have loved more time at Melk abbey and also in Salzburg. However, I understand that such a long trip we cannot spend all the time we would like. Our driver was amazing for driving so many hours.

I had a wonderful experience exploring Budapest with White Alligator Tours. The entire tour was very well organized, smooth, and perfectly timed — everything felt effortless and enjoyable. We visited some of the most beautiful highlights of the city including Citadella with its breathtaking panoramic views, the historic Buda Castle, and the stunning Matthias Church and Fisherman's Bastion overlooking the Danube. We also had the chance to stop by Ruszwurm Confectionery, which was a lovely touch, and see iconic landmarks like Heroes' Square and St. Stephen's Basilica. Every stop was well chosen and gave a great overview of this beautiful city. A special thank you to our guide Peter — he was fantastic! Very knowledgeable, friendly, and engaging, with a great sense of humor that made the tour even more enjoyable. He really brought Budapest to life and made sure everyone had a great time. Wonderful experience

The music was very enjoyable. The church is beautiful as well. Come early to get a better seat. The regular seats are not comfortable because of the kneeling area. The seats on the side are more comfortable. It was not hot nor cold in the regular area. It was a little cooler when I moved to the chair on the side.
