Best Guide

We had such a great day in Hallstat, but the highlight was our guide, Shiva. He is so interesting, a walking encyclopedia of information and gave us so much information about the area. I was in the very back of the van and it was a little hard to hear him on the microphone, but I learned to much and he was so interesting. Shiva also made sure we knew where to eat and where to get the best pastries. He took really good care of us. I would go on a tour with him again in a heartbeat!

Entertaining tour of Sound of Music film sites

It’s been years since I watched Sound of Music, but I truly enjoyed this entertaining tour of sites in Salzburg that were featured in the musical. The guide was a very knowledgeable, and queued up music from the movie and even engaged the group on the bus. He explained some of the challenges involved in filming as well. Highly recommended.

A feel good tour!

Thoroughly enjoyable tour. Our guide (Bridget) was very informative and knowledgeable. We loved visiting many of the sites from the film, and learning of some of the history of the real Von Trapp family. Loved the singing on the coach. A real feel good morning! Would recommend.

Eagles Nest with passion

The tours left very much on time. Getting there early is a recommendation to see that you get seats close to others in your party. The tour guide was well versed in all types of history, explaining so much about the tour but also on the local area and its own history. Knew alot about getting around the place and how to see more in the best way. The day was bright and beautiful. no wonder it was a preferred place to be away from things.

Friendliness Abounds

Excellent concert! Such talented musicians! The dinner was very good. Service was excellent. The funicular was easy to use. We booked the VIP experience and thought the value was good. We did expect our concert seats to be close to the front or center but it’s a small venue so they were ok. Note to beer drinkers, beer is available at dinner but not at the concert. The fortress viewing doesn’t require much extra time because the exhibits are closed late in the day. It’s more about the views which are beautiful!

Wonderful!

I was fortunate to have Fritz as my driver and guide for the day, he was terrific. We had a very nice group of people in the minivan. The drive itself is absolutely beautiful. If you go to the salt mines, you will only have two hours afterwards to see the town of Hallstatt. The salt mines are great fun but I really wish we’d had another hour in the town itself as the wait for lunch was long due to the amount of tourists there I did not get a chance to explore the town much. Fritz recommended a nice restaurant for lunch and it was delicious but it took a long time to get served which distracted from our time in the town. As a recent widow, I was very grateful to be with a group of friendly people who took me under their wing. The memories will be with me for a lifetime.

Run, Don't Walk: A Magical Musical Evening in Salzburg

A wonderful, exceptionally high-level concert. Highly recommended! The venue is charming—small enough to preserve an intimate connection and closeness to the performers, yet large enough for the sound to carry wonderfully, with excellent acoustics. And now for the cherry on top: superb musicians, every single one of them. The concert program was brilliant; you simply cannot go wrong with Mozart and Vivaldi.

This was a very informative, fun and relaxed tour. Our guide gave us lots of historical and musical information. She was very well informed and patient while we all took numerous photos. We had about 16-8 people in 5 separate groupings; by the end of the tour we all clicked as 1.

The commentator, Max, was great. He confirmed the language the majority of people spoke prior to leaving. He provide facts and jokes on the drive up but kept it to a level people could follow. Never gave too much such that you could not remember the last fact. He even stopped at time to provide updates to a couple that didn’t speak English (language used for our trip). Prior to arriving he gave options of things to do in town and around it like the funicular to the salt mines and overlook point. Our driver, Sammy, handled the bus expertly.

Mozart magic! Chamber music at the top of the Hohensalzburg Fortress!

Incredible experience. Easy to take the funicular train to the Fortress. Go a bit early so you can walk around. Wear flat shoes for stairs, cobblestones and sandy pathways. The concert is at the very top of the Fortress in a gorgeous room with amazing acoustics for chamber music. The artists are so very talented. We purchased a sparkling white wine to enjoy during the concert.

Salt Mine Tour

The Salt Mine Tour was not only fun, but extremely interesting. We got to dress up as miners and ride deep into the mine, we slid down two slides and even used a boat to get across one stretch of water! It was a really unique experience, and I would strongly recommend it to anyone.

Traditional Salzburg Cooking in a Unique Salzburg Location!

Had a lovely time with Johan and his team as we learned how to make struedel and traditional crescent cookies, and also enjoyed a very nice lunch of ghoulash. The cooking school is built into the cliff, which was an interesting aspect of the experience.
