Quaint and Good Eats
We enjoyed this quaint and unique experience of seeing an olive grove and dragon fruit farm. After hearing a history of the farm itself as well as how the olives and dragon fruits are farmed, we gathered on the farms porch overlooking the grove and ocean and sampled all of the products. It was a tasty assortment of foods and the host was very welcoming. All of this for a very affordable price. Locating the farm entrance can be tricky however there is a sign out front that makes it easy to spot that you can also see on Google Maps. Overall, we would definitely recommend!

Such a beautiful way to see the mountains!
This is so much fun! I booked this tour with a friend and we both had a blast. The quads are very easy to navigate, and the guide gives you options for insurance if you have a fear of crashing before hand. Luckily they are very easy to maneuver. This tour probably isn’t the best if you have a fear of heights, as you really go up the mountain with some very narrow roads. The guide was very friendly and ensured we knew what we were doing before we began. We would recommend doing this with friends, maybe not young children.

Great day informative and fun
A varied and interesting day with a great guide in Vagelis. He was constantly taking us to different places with an interesting commentary throughout. We saw lots of lovely quaint villages and learned a lot about their way of life. Brief cookery lesson and pleasant lunch at a small restaurant in the hills. Interesting visit to Olive Oil factory and small family run ceramics. Met some lovely people and had a really enjoyable day

Very demanding but very beautiful hike in Crete's only national park
After an early departure at about 6 am we first stopped at Omalos around 8 to have breakfast and then we headed to the entrance of Samaria National Park. Our guide was Christina who is very passionate about Samaria and has hiked the Gorge many times before. It is definitely a very demanding hike, about 15km mostly downhill walking on rocks that can be slippery and therefore dangerous. Once I slipped and fell and also twisted my ankle but got medical treatment (pack of ice, bandage, painkiller) by a licensed doctor at the next rest stop. I also met Christina there who kindly lent me her personal walking sticks that turned out to be very helpful on the remainder of the hike. I definitely recommend the tour if you're fit enough and have good hiking shoes because the scenery is breathtaking. Be aware it's a long hike where accidents can happen but you'll be awarded by the beautiful landscapes and a greek lunch (own cost) in Agia Roumeli. After the lunch we hopped on a ferry to Sougia where our bus was waiting to take us back to Chania. We arrived back around 10 pm, so it's definitely a whole day trip.
