We were welcomed at a family farm in the beautiful Cretian countryside. We learned so much Cretian history and how to make delicious Greek food. We can’t wait to make the dishes at home. We highly recommend this experience to anyone!!

Absolutely lovely. It is a wonderful cultural experience. There was not quite as much cooking as I’d have liked, but my husband and I love to cook. Still well worth the time.

The more you participate the more you get out of the experience! We had a great tour guide in Alex as he was knowledgeable, personable, and engaging with us guests. The family who hosts, is wonderful! They are extremely generous with their time and have lots of patience for some of the ‘new to cooking’ participants. This is a long experience 3:30-10:40 including pickups/transit. You don’t eat until 9pm. The family is wonderful and very kind and gracious. The family home in the mountains was beautiful and such a great setting. There was actual minimal cooking involved compared to other classes we’ve done. We stuffed some veggies, grated some produce, rolled some dough and stuffed the dough but other than that Poppy did everything else. There was only wine during the wine tasting portion of the experience and then also with dinner. Would have been nice to have wine right away and throughout the experience. My husband and I were definitely sober at the end of the night. There was a lot of good info regarding the Cretan war and the family’s history that we appreciated. There were some added experiences of feeding the family goats, touring the property/ family museum, but the people themselves really made the experience special. The food turned out great too!

We visited Chania, Crete for the first time and were looking for an introduction to local cuisine. We are so glad we found this tour and booked! The hosts are so welcoming and made it such a pleasurable experience! We learned about and contributed in preparing recipes for a traditional Cretan meal and enjoyed a wonderful wine tasting. While the food was cooking we enjoyed a nice tour of the village. After this, we arrived back to the feast we had prepared and we were impressed with the deliciousness of everything!

Yanis was an excellent guide, very friendly and knowledgeable, our hosts lovely, and the other guests great company. The views from the house were 100% worth the short drive up the mountain. And preparing the food was a good change from just eating out. Fun and delicious too! Highly recommend the tour.

What a lovely experience!! Diamanti was a wonderful cook, patient, informative and just a delight!! Our translator/driver/guide Nikos was a wealth of information! The food we made was wonderful, the wine was delicious, and all the extra small activities were great! Highly recommend!

Perfect from beginning to end. Our driver/guide Nico was excellent. Picked us up on time, gave good commentary during drive, was an excellent translator for the cooking instructor and chef. The tour itself was well paced alternating between meal prep and walking the property learning about area and history. Our cooking instructor was delightful, easy to follow and made the whole experience fun. Our finished meal delicious, the property was beautiful and everyone made us feel so welcome. Highly recommend

Awesome cooking experience where we discover a wonderful place with awesome views on the mountains to cook. Our tour guide Yannis was very knowledgeable about Crete and we had a lovely time with him in our group. We had the possibility to taste some Cretan wines with a little guessing game included, as well as the food we made of course (we only did fairly easy cooking techniques so this class is accessible to everyone) and more (there was really a lot of food for everyone, so if you eat a lot you'll be more than satisfied). We also had a brief history of Crete and Greece (I, being Greek, got chills with the fast description of all that our country has endured). Everyone on the team was lovely and made sure we had a great time. It's also a great way to meet other travellers in Crete.

This tour can only be described as magical. Every element, from the guide to the breathtaking location, felt like a dream. Great experience! We loved the food, the view from the top of the mountain, and the home we were welcomed by the Cretian family who taught the class. The group wasn’t too big and was perfect for teaching a group. So glad the weather cooled off you are both inside and outside. We learned so much from our tour guide Alex about the olives, the culture, the food. It is a 45 min. Drive each way from Chania. It was hot when we were there so the van ride was a little hot but other than that we had an amazing experience.

My husband and I participated in this cooking experience during our honeymoon. It was one of our favorite parts of the trip and we would recommend this to anyone regardless of cooking experience. Our guide/translator Andreas was extremely knowledgeable and entertaining. The views going up to the family farm were incredible, but the cooking and meeting the family was event better! We certainly felt that we got our money’s worth two fold and hope to participate in another experience like this one on our next trip!
