Berlin’s MUST-DO Walking Tour

This was the best guided walking tour I’ve ever been on. The amount of information was a LOT, but the guide (Jorge) was a wizard with words. He had a brilliant way of adding context to complicated histories. I learned more than I expected, had an amazing time learning, and felt the tour was paced really well. We covered a LOT of German/Berlin history without being overwhelming. In fact, we both felt energized to continue learning and hit two museums after!

Xavier!!

Xavier was our tour guide and he was amazing. So knowledgeable and was able to give a detailed account about the political and cultural background of the time that lead to the uprising of the Nazis. The tour is thought provoking and very moving. The tour involves a train ride and a long walk once off the train to the camp. Wear comfortable shoes and take snacks and water with you as there is no time to stop. We didn’t get to see all of the buildings on the tour but the knowledge and depth of information that Xavier brought more than made up for the missing bits. Amazing tour, definitely go on it

Loved our trip around Berlin

We had a blast cycling through (east) Berlin with Thor our fellow Icelander. The meeting point was easy to find and everything went as planned despite a little rain. Thor gave us a very insightful history lesson on every stop and we walk away from the experience with a renewed knowledge of many aspects of both WWI and II and the cold war period. The bikes were easy to ride and traffic was not bad as it was a Saturday morning. Recommend this trip if you're tight on time to get an overview of the biggest sights.

We Came to See Berlin, but Berlin Came to See Us! 🤣

What an absolute blast! My wife and I did this tour on our first full day in Berlin, and it turned out to be the perfect way to get acquainted with the city. Our guide was incredibly friendly, spoke excellent English, and made sure everyone understood how to operate the little cars and the rules of the road before we headed out. Driving these tiny hot rods through the streets of Berlin was so much fun! The funniest part was realizing that WE were the tourist attraction! I lost count of how many pedestrians stopped to take pictures and videos of us as we drove by. 🤣 The tour is primarily a driving experience, but our guide made two stops to take pictures of us with some beautiful Berlin landmarks in the background. Beyond the entertainment, it was a fantastic introduction to the city. We got a feel for Berlin’s layout and saw several major sights that we returned to explore on foot later that afternoon and over the following days. If you’re visiting Berlin, especially for the first time, I highly recommend doing this tour early in your trip. It’s a unique, memorable, and ridiculously fun way to experience the city. We’d absolutely do it again!

This was my first food tour in a city and am now excited to do more! A fun way to get a walk in and explore different cuisines of Berlin. The only thing we said we wish was different was doing the Doner Kebab last as it was the best food on the tour, and potentially the best in the city (we tried 3-4 spots!) I highly recommend this to anyone who likes food and beer while in Berlin!

Great day in Berlin.

Had a fabulous day with our guide Ann who was on the bus all the way and gave us lots of info about Germany. We saw all the sights on the itinerary. The bus was extremely comfortable and we had wifi all the way which was great to catch up. We are still on our way back but all has gone to plan and we should be there two hours before ship leaves. I would highly recommend this tour and Ann did an amazing job.

Extremely informative and well done tour. Viator tour guides do these tours so well. Smaller group than what the cruise ships offer, more personalized experiences and they are very cognizant of getting you back in plenty of time. This tour is a lot so make sure that you are up for it. Three hours each way to and from Berlin. There's a lot to see in a short amount of time but this tour doesn't waste one second of it. If you only have one day in Berlin this tour will get you to the major sites to see. And they don't shy away from Germany's difficult at times history. The memorials to the victims of the Holocaust and the politics that lead to it are not diminished in anyway. The sites of former royalty, the cold war, WWI and WWII are visited. I highly recommend this tour. Our guide was exceptional.
