Great views, fun excursion

This was a fun sunset cruise. The views from the catamaran were amazing and we enjoyed the stop to snorkel and eat lunch. It was a little scary that the open bar was available prior to snorkeling, but all’s well that ends well? The boat guides were super nice and laid back - made for a very enjoyable afternoon.

We enjoyed this tour so much! The waterfall on the way out was a great way to break up an otherwise long ride, and an extra opportunity to see wildlife. The coffee and chocolate experience was very engaging and interesting, and seeing the wildlife (frogs, snakes, and SLOTHS) was amazing. We loved our guide, Rudi, who was full of enthusiasm and knowledge about the animals and plants that we were seeing. 10/10 would recommend!

This was such a fun and adventurous experience for my active family (kids ages 10 and 13). Each rappel was different but all led to the large 230 foot rappel. The guides made us feel very safe and did not pressure you into doing the biggest rappel. They also made recommendations based on skill. For example, my 10 year old opted just to watch the rest of us do the biggest rappel and that was just fine. A must-do for those who love a bit of adventure and stepping out of your comfort zone in a safe environment. We have Keen type closed toe sandal shoes but opted to wear running shoes with good tread as the rocks are slippery. Happy we did. Also, prepare to get soaked and to hike. Would not be a good fit for those who suffer from knee/ankle problems or for those who are very out of shape.

Unforgettable Experience! Forever Memories

Just book it! You will not regret it. We had a party of 7, ranging in ages from 17 to 60+ and all of us were blown away. From Zip lining, horseback riding, cultural experience, to the water slide, all Activities were top notch. We felt very safe for all activities. Cedar was our guide and we started the party off right with the bus ride. Cedar was an excellent tour guide. He had us laughing from the second we met him and his enthusiasm for the nature in Costa Rica is unmatched. He picked us up right from our air bnb and was pointing out monkeys right near our house that we had never noticed. He was very patient with us and never rushed us through our tour. Finishing our tour with the hot springs was absolute bliss and a memory we will never forget. Highly recommend bringing smaller bills to tip the people assisting you on the tour because they are all excellent and make for an unforgettable experience. We’ll remember this day forever!

We had a great experience at North Fields Café! Our tour guide, Daniel, was incredibly informative, honest, and genuine. This didn’t feel like one of those guided tours designed simply to take your money. Daniel took the time to actually educate us about Costa Rica, including how local families have traditionally made a living and how outside investment and development can sometimes negatively impact the local economy and the people who call Costa Rica home. We really appreciated hearing a perspective that went beyond just coffee and chocolate. It made the tour feel much more personal and meaningful. Of course, we also really enjoyed the fun parts—the chocolate tasting was delicious, the coffee tasting was great, and the little surprise moonshine tasting was definitely a memorable touch! Overall, it was an educational, authentic, and enjoyable experience. Daniel made the tour stand out, and we would absolutely recommend North Fields Café to anyone visiting La Fortuna.

We had such a fun experience on this combo tour! Our tour guide, Wil, was great and made the day enjoyable from start to finish. The Hanging Bridges were one of our favorite parts. The scenery was absolutely beautiful, and we were able to see so many different types of wildlife along the way. It was a great opportunity to slow down, enjoy the rainforest, and take everything in. The Arenal Volcano hike was definitely a workout, but worth it! Come prepared with good, comfortable shoes and plenty of bug spray. You’ll appreciate both by the end of the hike. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to swim directly in the La Fortuna Waterfall area during our visit, but it was still an absolutely beautiful sight. We were able to get into the river nearby, which was incredibly refreshing after all the walking. And when you finally make it back up all those stairs to the top, treat yourself to a drink! 😂 Their drinks are STRONG, but if your little twinkle toes are hurting after the hike, trust me…it’ll help! 🍹😂 Overall, it was a long and active day, but a beautiful way to experience several of La Fortuna’s highlights all in one tour. Definitely recommend!

THIS was one of the coolest things I've ever done. Six of us booked the 12 line and had a blast. I've never ziplined before this and had a few butterflies at the start. After halfway down the first line, I knew I had this licked. You go between 20-50mph and have heights of 300'+. Flying by the waterfalls were just awesome. The crew we had were a blast and kept you feeling safe the entire time. Can't wait to go back and do it again.

The experience went and said delightful. It’s a lot of movement so be ready. Diego and Christian were amazing. Some tour people don’t take the time to really explain the history OR interact individually with their groups and that sucks. But they did. These are TWO hikes. First one is the hike to La fortuna waterfall, you have lunch, and then you’ll hike to volcano arenal. That at least your visit thermal hot spring if it’s included with your reservation. NICE TIME!!!

Must Do!!

We had a great experience on this zip line tour! The thrill was exhilarating and felt very safe! Plenty of parking on-site and close La Fortuna center. They had a safety training before the lines and many guides to help with the zipping transfers. It was rainy and a tad windy when we went but it didn’t change a thing. If anything, the forest was very very lush and vibrant green. My boyfriend is very afraid of heights but this was a must-do bucket list item. The first zip line was the highest and definitely took him a minute to get in the zone but the staff reassured him and he had fun! After the first zip line it gets easier and easier. Our group was comprised of all ages and weights. If the guides noticed that someone needed more weight to get across or maybe even scared, they go on the zip with you to make you feel even more secure! 100/10 experience and MUST DO! Fight your fears! You don’t want to miss this!

The one excursion you must do in Guanacaste

Horseback riding, river white-water tubing, zipline like 9 sections, lunch, then hotspring, all day event of 9-11 hours, the group was around 25 people, not a big bus, so timing of all events, including hotel drop off was a breeze. This is truly the one you must do if are in Guanacaste, all others are secondary if you have more time.

Very good. Only down...

Very good. Only down fall was the Balsa River only open when dam is open and it was not open by the time we reached there so we had to go to another river so ended up being a long day and lots of time driving. Wish they had checked before we went or given us maybe some of our money back. But it very good and a thrilling adventure.
