Top Costa Rica Snorkeling

This day trip was epic! Alberto was so energetic and took photos of us as we rode horses, went white water rafting, ziplined, and had a volcanic spa day! We stopped for a little breakfast on the way, were happy with the buffet, and they made sure we were safe and hydrated. A must-do! Pura Vida!

Alexa was a wonderful guide, she made the experience so fun and lovely! We saw soooo many things and she did a fantastic job making sure everyone saw the animals and was super respectful towards the wildlife. We can’t wait to come back and take another snorkeling or dive trip with them!

Our family had an absolutely incredible experience with Amigos del Río! This was one of the highlights of our trip to Costa Rica. From the moment they picked us up at our Airbnb until they dropped us back off, everything was seamless, well organized, and so much fun. During the drive, our guides shared interesting facts about Costa Rica’s history, wildlife, culture, and the towns we passed through, making the drive part of the adventure. Our guides were funny, knowledgeable, and made everyone feel completely at ease. Safety was clearly their top priority, which was especially important since we were rafting with kids. They kept the children laughing while teaching them about the river and the surrounding rainforest, creating the perfect mix of adventure, education, and fun. One of our favorite parts of the day was stopping at a beautiful waterfall along the river. We had time to enjoy the scenery, cool off, and recharge while the guides served fresh fruit and snacks. It was such a beautiful stop and made an already amazing day even more memorable. The rafting was exciting, the scenery was breathtaking, and the entire Amigos del Río team was professional, welcoming, and passionate about what they do. To end the day, they treated us to a delicious traditional Costa Rican lunch before driving us back to our Airbnb. If you’re visiting the Manuel Antonio or Quepos area, don’t miss this experience. We made unforgettable family memories and will absolutely book with Amigos del Río again the next time we’re in Costa Rica. Highly recommend!

Super fun! Don't let a rainy day scare you away. It was raining the day we were supposed to go on our cruise but the captain said we were still all good to go and we are glad we listened. There is only 35 people on board because a bunch of them bowed out because of the weather. Their loss was our gain. About 25 minutes into the cruise the weather cleared up and it was absolutely beautiful. They took us to a private beach that you can only get to by boat. We got to swim out from the catamaran to the beach have a nice long walk and swim in the ocean. Drinks were flowing and Good vibes were there! Definitely recommend

The food and drinks were great. The weather from the tropical storm had the water not clear enough for snorkeling. I wish they would have had some life jackets instead of pool noodles especially for people like my husband that can’t float. One pool noodle was not enough for a muscular man that can’t float. I didn’t even have one for very long because I went with my hubby back to the boat and some guy grabbed mine and his and took off. But overall it was a good trip.

This walking and bus city tour is the perfect way to experience Costa Rica's capital. The combo of bus and walking sightseeing hits all the key spots — National Theater, Art Museum, Central Market, and public plazas — without wearing you out. Our guide was an art historian with incredible knowledge of the city's history, and the traditional Costa Rican lunch included in the tour was a highlight on its own. The guitar player on the bus was a fun touch that set the mood from the start. Tips for future travelers: Wear comfortable shoes, bring a small umbrella, and don't skip the Central Market — just wish we had more time there! Ideal for first-timers. Highly recommend!

We highly recommend this experience! The crew was super professional and handled everything smoothly. It was a fun, energetic vibe throughout. The bar service was fantastic, we enjoyed the break for snorkeling, and the cruise back to watch the sunset was perfectly timed. This felt like a really good value and we left with great memories!

If you love boats, swimming and snorkeling this is a definite must do! Our guides showed us beaches, rocks and pelicans before we anchored to snorkel. We tried two spots and were given a lot of time to look at the colourful fish. We were taken to a private beach where we were served fresh fruit, drinks and lunch. They took great care to find an alternative lunch for 2 of us who can’t have gluten. Very much appreciated. We were given the perfect amount of time to explore the beach before we had to head back. We couldn’t speak the same language as our guides and it worked out just fine. We preferred this company as we were not a part of the busy beach and larger groups. Well worth it!
