This tour was absolutely incredible from start to finish. The sloth tour was the highlight—we were just a meter away from a baby sloth! It was such a rare and magical moment. Our sloth guide, Pablo, was amazing—knowledgeable, passionate, and clearly dedicated to protecting the wildlife.
Our overall guide for the day (also named Pablo) was fantastic—friendly, engaging, and made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable.
The waterfall stop was breathtaking, offering stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere. And the interactive cacao and coffee tour was such a treat. We learned so much about the growing and production process and got to taste incredibly fresh cacao and coffee—some of the best we’ve had.
This tour was the perfect blend of nature, wildlife, and culture, and it was made even better by the fantastic guides. Absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting Costa Rica!

Rudy and Luis were are guides. The waterfall was amazing but I feel like we didn’t have much time there. I understand they must stick to a schedule but we felt rushed between activities. We saw sloths which was awesome! We could’ve done without the coffee tour, as it felt very touristy and most of the guests were really tired by then. I’m 50/50 if we’d book this again. Maybe without the coffee stop and maybe with another guide who wasn’t as pushy.

We had an amazing time on this excursion! Alejandro was VERY informative on a wide range of topics. The waterfall was nice, we got to see a few sloths a beautiful viper snake and a tree frog. The cacao and coffee tour was awesome, we learned a lot and got to sample the cacao in different stages and buy some chocolate and coffee.

Saying this was the highlight of my trip is an understatement. I extremely recommend booking this 3 in 1 tour, especially if you are staying at a resort and want to be immersed in Guanacaste’s beautiful nature and culture. This was the best tour! This review is a little long, but it’s absolutely worth reading.
We started at the waterfall and then headed into the rainforest, where we saw two sloths, a snake, a frog, beautiful flowers, and so much more. The coffee and cocoa experience was also fantastic. They even feed you, and the food was delicious!
Louis was a fantastic driver, and Rudy was an amazing tour guide. They were knowledgeable, friendly, and made the entire experience unforgettable.
10/10 — highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Costa Rica!

What an amazing experience! I recommend checking in with the tour guide about pickup time if you're not booking a private tour - since that means you may be grouped with other people and the shuttle have to make multiple pickups. Rudy was our guide for the tour and Orlando was our driver and both were incredible. Rudy was so knowledgeable and engaging with our group. Our favorite part of the tour was definitely the sloth watching & walking through the rainforest. Definitely bring your rain jacket for this because it does rain on and off! This was an easy trip - the most strenuous part was walking up the steps for the waterfall to get back to the shuttle. But otherwise fairly easy.

We didn’t know what a great tour this was until we went on others. The tour guides provided plenty of opportunities to stop and see the beautiful country of Costa Rica. We even stopped on the way to the waterfall to get pictures and see toucans. Never felt rushed during the tour, but kept it moving at a good pace. Had a wonderful experience with Jose and our driver, Gustavo.

Our tour with Rudy (guide) and Colorado (driver) was truly one of the highlights of our entire trip to Costa Rica. From start to finish, the experience was seamless, fun, and full of incredible moments.
Rudy is a natural storyteller with deep knowledge of Costa Rican wildlife, culture, and history. He spotted sloths we never would have seen on our own and made every stop feel meaningful. The tour guide is amazing I can’t remember his name but he was so nice and honestly so great to be around. We got traditional Costa Rican food, pineapple, and water during the trip. The chocolate, coffee, and nature watching were amazing definitely a must do in Costa Rica.

We had a private black sprinter van for our family group of 6 people. The van could have comfortably fit 2 more people. Our driver Eddie was pleasant. We got to see a baby sloth at eye level hidden behind some leaves. The tour guide pulled back the leaves so we could take some awesome pictures with it. The waterfall was nice too. Nothing was too long or difficult of a walk. Pickup and drop off was easy. We left our vehicle parked at the local automercado parking lot. We arrived more than 15 minutes prior to the scheduled pickup time and our driver was already there waiting. Great experience and would recommend.

We began our tour at a waterfall...beautiful! Next was an interactive experience on a coffee / chocolate farm. From the trees where it all begins to the finished product that you can buy in their gift shop. Tasting and actually helping to prepare the coffee and chocolate with the help from the farm's staff, was a highlight! A delicious traditional Costa Rican lunch... followed by an easy walk through a rainforest that didn't disappoint. Slough, red-eyed toad, blue-jean frog, toucans and amazing vegetation. Rudy our guide for the day was exceptional. So glad we booked this excursion!

The falls were beautiful, seeing how chocolate and coffee were made was really interesting and we saw frogs, birds, a toucan and several sloths including a baby sloth that was right above our head! SO incredible and I highly recommend this tour! Jose and Orlando were great!

Our driver Orlando was attentive and awesome. When returning from the waterfall swim, he was waiting for us with bottled waters! Rudy our guide was spectacular and knowledgeable.
The waterfall was a short walk. We saw monkeys in the trees. It was beautiful and relaxing. Then we headed to the coffee and chocolate tour. Wow! Hilary gave us the most educational tour. I learned so much about the history and the making and growing of their organic coffee and chocolates. The tastings were the most delicious drinks and I had to buy some! I had coffee all wrong all this time.
The lunch was delicious. Saw a toucan and a vulture in the trees next to the restaurant! Then off we went to the rain forest. Glad Rudy told me to use my trekking/walking poles-some parts were muddy and small steps. Our guide was fantastic! He spotted all the animals! And boy did he know all the phone functions of taking the perfect pictures of the sloths, frogs, and snake! It was a truly amazing experience!
It was an easy, relaxing and beautiful excursion that I highly reccomend.

The tour started very early in the morning, but the moment we were picked up by Orlando, we were treated like family. We met the group in Liberia where we met our guide Jose. Both Orlando and Jose wanted to make sure we had a wonderful experience. I learned so much at the coffee and chocalate place that I shared information with my family. Then we headed to the rainforest. Jose asked what we were more excited to possibly see. He didn't disappoint in wildlife and with a refreshing pineapple snack afterwards. That was the best pineapple I have ever had. We headed off to lunch where our plates were full of a variety of food. Great tour and amazing guides.

We are a family of five with three young children (ages 10, 8, and 4), and this excursion was probably the highlight of our trip. Orlando arrived on time to pick us up from our resort and made the journey safe, comfortable, and enjoyable throughout the day. The vehicle was clean, and we always had plenty of water available. Carlos was our guide, and he was knowledgeable, personable, and dedicated to ensuring everyone in our group had a wonderful experience. He went above and beyond to make the day memorable. Jose and Orlando were great! We saw a juvenile 3 toed sloth as well as adult ones, frogs, a snake, different birds. The coffee and cacao tours were educational. Overall a good tour!

This was a great tour with a fun mix of activities that really gave us the flavor of Costa Rica. It was nice to see the variety of waterfall, wildlife, and coffee and chocolate farm. Before booking we were worried about the length of the drive, but our guide Geno had so much interesting information to share that the time flew by. He also built in breaks with snacks and clean bathroom stops that made the day easy. Geno is excellent at spotting wildlife, so we made a few unplanned roadside stops that allowed us to get close to howler monkeys and see two toucans in the wild. This tour was definitely the highlight of our Costa Rica vacation!

Had a great experience on the sloth tour.
First we went to the coffee and cocoa plantation and saw how they made the coffee and chocolate and tasted them. Then we went to this nature preserve and walked around for a little bit, saw some frogs and a sloth. But this part was way too short for my liking. We were only there for 15-20 minutes. Yes we was a sloth, but for this being the main part of the tour it was way to rushed. Overall had a great time on this tour.

Such a great experience for my husband and I! The pickup was right on time and we got back to our hotel as expected. I can't put into words how wonderful the three excursions were. The tour guides did an excellent job sharing the history of each location and helping us understand. Top notch team!

This was a great experience! Good way to see a lot of the attractions without having to schedule the logistics ourselves. It is probably not the quickest way to see the attractions, but the journey was a big part of this experience. Jose was an excellent guide. He explained everything in both English and Spanish and is extremely knowledgeable. The sites also had great tour guides to share their information. Monkeys, sloths, tree frogs, a tapir, & a pit viper were observed. The cocoa and coffee demonstrations were very informative and nice to have the yummy samples at the end. The waterfall is pretty and refreshing!

Had a great experience with Jose as the tour guide and Orlando as the driver. Well organized and great timeline of experiences, from a waterfall, to the rainforest hike where we saw many wildlife, and the coffee and chocolate tour. All were amazing and would highly recommend this company and tour.

It’s good but would have loved to see more wild life as we couldn’t find more Tucans or sloths but over all experience is pretty good

We had a terrific time on this tour. Jose was very knowledgeable and also kind to my 87 year old father and Orlando the driver was great. We did see sloths and some frogs and the coffee and chocolate part was interesting as well. We would all highly recommend this tour by Pure Nature Tours.
