We had a lovely day with...

We had a lovely day with our guide Ahmed and our driver Ahmed. We went to Memphis, Saqqara and the Pyramids. Our guide was an archaeologist and he was very knowledgeable, explaining everything and answering our questions as we went along. We also visited a perfume and papyrus shop. We tried some fragrances and saw how papyrus paper was made. We didn't feel any pressure to buy anything. Despite the chaotic Egypt traffic, our driver took as smoothly to all the places. It was our first day in Cairo and definitely a day we'll spent.

Visit the “other” pyramids

There are other Pyramids besides those in Giza. Those in Saqqara and Dahshur, have their own stories and are absolutely worth visiting. Memphis, and museum there are definitely worthwhile. Our guide Mohammed Maksoud, was wonderful. Very attentive to my wife and I (we are in our 80’s), helped us along as needed. Mohammed has incredible, detailed knowledge not just of pyramids, but all of Egypt’s rich history and heritage. We learned a lot from him. Our driver , Haitiam, is amazing, he always got us to our destinations, on time and safely. This is a great tour, we are so glad we did it, and we strongly recommend you do also.

Our great guide, Nashat

Nashat is an amazing guide. Very knowledgeable about the history, architecture, science, and art of the pyramids of Giza and the Great Egyptian Museum. He was very kind and patient to us, and he was very accommodating when we were getting exhausted. He was very honest about what to do and what not to do as a tourist and he gave us tips on how to handle vendors. He was on time and always on the dot with all the activities. This tour is a must while in Cairo!

Words cannot express the wonderful time I had on my tour today with Hamada! What a great guy! As a solo traveler, I was a bit worried going so far out of Cairo area, but from the pick up at hotel to the drop off, I was assured it would be a great and safe time! The Private Tour to Whales Valley & Wadi El Rayan Waterfalls in El Fayoum IS A MUST! The 4x4 ride was so much fun, learning about the fossils and walking through the dessert and ending with a great traditional lunch at a Glamp site was the cherry on top. Whether you’re a large group or just solo traveling, I highly recommend it. Thank you Hamada!

Fabulous private tour of Old Cairo & more

Menna took us around Cairo on a private tour that included ancient Egyptian sites, mosques, churches & a synagogue and also a fascunating market. Plus a wonderful typical Egyptian lunch. Menna was very knowledgeable and generally helpful with all of our questions about Cairo. The driver, Ehab, was amazing, navigating crazy Cairo traffic and always right there to pick us up and take us to the next site throughout the day. I would recommend Menna and Ehab to anyone wishing to see Cairo in one day.

I loved the experience! I absolutely enjoyed spending time in the boat, having Khaled as a tour guide and visiting all these magnificent places! The boat was clean and well maintained, the staff responded to any requests promptly, and they even organised a mini birthday celebration for my friend! Everything was great. The only thing is that on the last day instead of prioritising visiting the sights our tour guide took us to visit some overpriced shops, which was fine because it gave me an opportunity to buy souvenirs for my friends and family, but I would prefer to finish visiting all the sights first, and then go shopping. As a result we weren’t given enough time to visit the last temple because we had to rush back home as one of the people on our tourgroup had the bus to catch. Another thing is that on the same day we were taken to a super overpriced restaurant for lunch, we didn’t have a say in choosing the restaurant, the food there was mediocre, we weren’t even given a menu to order, and the end price turns out to be extremely expensive! The food we got definitely wasn’t worth it and it’s a bit upsetting as we trusted our tour guide (probably he gets a commission or something from this restaurant). However, I absolutely loved the personality of our tour guide, so can forgive him this :) as I already said, I absolutely loved the whole experience, and can’t wait to go back! I’m already planning to bring my husband on the same trip! All thanks to Khaled and the amazing boat crew;)

A great day out

A fantastic day. My guide (Ibrahim) was extremely knowledgeable and helped piece together the history of the area. As a solo traveller I found it all very relaxed and timed perfectly. I didn’t have to do what I didn’t want. Just tell the guide what you want. Special thanks to our driver who got us there and back alive!
