Francesco was an exceptional tour guide. He drove us to the lesser known parts of Rome (many of which we would have never ventured out to) and was a wealth of information. He also included visits to St. Paul, St. John and St. Mary’s churches, which were not originally part of our tour. It was a chance of a lifetime to enter these churches through the main door during the Jubilee Year. I highly recommend this tour and Francesco as a tour guide!

Interesting Rome tour

Great trip with Peter. He was super knowledgeable and flexible on what we wanted to see. We saw parts of Rome we hadn’t seen before even though been there numerous times.

A great selection of fascinating sites

Stephano gave a great tour! He was an outstanding raconteur, making each stop along the route both interesting and educational. We visited some fascinating and beautiful churches and several other sites that were steeped in the history of the region, and which were not crowded, but really should not be missed.

Simply amazing

Simply amazing! Wasn’t sure what to expect but Stefano was so knowledgeable and engaging, we were very disappointed when the time was up because we were having so much fun. He was full of stories and took us to beautiful places that are normally not part of a typical Rome itinerary. He was very knowledgeable and passionate about Rome and had a lot of suggestions for additional places that are worth seeing. I would highly recommended this tour.

Best way to spend 6 hours in Rome

This was the best way to see some of the harder to get to sites in Rome: the Via Appia, catacombs, aqueduct, a couple of churches and the best view of the city among many places. Our driver Stefano clearly loves his city and is incredibly knowledgeable and super friendly. We were lucky to spend 6 hours with him. We also loved the place he recommended for lunch where we had fantastic pizza, rice balls and sandwiches. This is totally worth the money especially if you want to get away from the large crowds and see hidden gems.

Very little guiding

The guide started strong but then lost interest. He did not have much knowledge of many of the places on the tour. The tour is described as “ guided” but there was no guiding at any of our stops except at the Aurelian wall and briefly on the Appian Way. We were just left to enter the baths of Caracalla and were not even taken to the top of the Janiculum Hill.

Great tour in Rome going to places that are not that usual. Pietro was a great tour guide/driver and the 6 hours went fast. It was a very fulfilling experience visiting so many historical places there.

This tour was excellent for those who have already seen the major highlights and want to see some extras that are not on the regular path. We appreciated seeing parts of Rome we wouldn't have found ourselves. Visiting the Appian Way and walking in/on the old city walls. Our guide, Stefano, was personable and gave us lots of information to process. He was able to adapt to our interests. Catacomb tour was good. Would recommend this tour for seeing interesting parts of Rome.

Michel was prompt, accommodating and the van was new and comfortable. He picked us up at our apartment, which is a definite plus. We did not have to walk to and try to find a pickup point in another part of the city, which is something I personally don’t like to do. Michel made certain that he covered places that we wanted to see and focused on areas that he knew were a priority for us. He was very pleasant and easy to be with, sharing his knowledge of Rome, both historically and culturally…..and pointing out places to eat along the way! He stopped at a sandwich shop that was wonderful and because it was in a busy area we would have missed otherwise. It didn’t have other tourists there, which was a plus. This is a great way to see parts of Rome that other tourists may miss.
