Best tour and best guide to Jungfrau

This was a fantastic tour with fantastic scenery, led by a fantastic guide named kid. There were many facets to this tour and he managed us through them remarkably with Precision and finesse. He was also a fantastic photographer and got us all the pictures that we wanted. He knew exactly where we should stand and exactly when the background was going to be perfect, we couldn’t ask for anything more. He was friendly. He was funny and he made us all laugh. He was knowledgeable. He gave us background information on everything we were seeing he let us through Jungfrau like the seasoned veteran that he is. I would tell anybody not to miss this tour and if they were lucky enough to get kid as a guide, it would enhance their experience tenfold.

Guides were excellent....

Guides were excellent. Follow instructions. Pack something warm as it may get cold. Water proof jacket/thermal and good shoes if you plan on going into the snow. When you arrive at the lookout, the time will fly by quickly because there is so much to do and it is so beautiful, so if you can arrive on a full tummy so you won’t have to pause for lunch, that might be good. Have fun!

Something for everyone

Great tour! It included several delicious local dishes in sit-down environments and was perfectly paced. Our guide, Johanna, was delightful and very knowledgeable about Zurich’s history and the food we were eating. Our family includes three tween- to teen- aged boys and everyone had a great time. A great way to get a feel for Zürich and its local dishes especially if you don’t have a long time in town. Would definitely recommend.

Yes. A very nice way to spend half day on Zurich. Monica was our tour guide. She was lovely, very knowledgeable and organized us well. I enjoyed the trip. It wasn’t rushed and we were able to secure enough people to take the boat ride, which is a “must-do” IMO. Have fun. Worth the expense.

Lovely Trip!

We had an amazing time. Our two guides were very friendly and helpful. The scenery was gorgeous, and everything was on time. Please note however that there is about a half mile or more of walking at least at each location. My elderly mother tired easily, and we had to get Ubers. I would also suggest sitting on the passenger (right) side of the bus. When you sit behind the driver, you get all of the morning sun, and you’re not on the side of all the beautiful lakes on the drive there.

Great but could be better

Pros: The sites are incredible! Lucerne is delightful and the lake is spectacular. The gondola up to Pilatus is a beautiful view and once up on the mountain, it is magical. The views, the little hikes, the restaurants are all worth the trip. The cog tram down is also a great experience, cowbells and all. Then a lovely boat cruise on the lake to finish the day. I very highly recommend this trip! Cons: if you prefer smaller, more private and accommodating busses, be aware this is a huge, double decker bus with no armrests and quite cramped. Also, from Zurich, you are on the same bus with your morning group. However, be aware that more people join the tour from Lucerne just to go up the mountain. I mention this because although you are promised that your backpacks/personals are secure and locked on the bus while you explore Lucerne, these new people were on the bus already when we returned. Anyone could have gone through my bag (thankfully not!) but just be aware. Also, morning folks lost their seats when the next group joined. My biggest quibbles were the timing at Lucerne and the mountain. At least 30 minutes more in Lucerne and 30 minutes less on the mountain would be better. Also, the bus stop in Lucerne is waaaaayyyyy to far from the center where everyone wants to go. You lose nearly 20 minutes wasted walking round trip, whereas a drop in the center where all the action is would be ideal. Again, this lost 20 minutes made a big impact on being rushed in lovely Lucerne.

I highly recommend this full day tour. We visited and got an excellent introduction to towns in Switzerland, Germany, Austria and Lichtenstein. Our guide, Ben, was knowledgeable about the towns and also had some great ideas for our Zurich stay. Ben was pleasant and we felt safe with him. At the end of the day, I felt like it must have been more than one wonderful activity-packed day, but it wasn't. 4 countries in one day! Our weather was perfect, and that helped. There is a moderate amount of walking, so travelers should prepare accordingly. We had a little light rain, so an umbrella is a good idea and/or waterproof jacket. There was time in each place to do some quick shopping and eat, if we wanted to. We may want to return and spend a day or more in each spot. This tour literally covers a lot of ground in a fairly short period of time, which is what we were hoping for at this time.
