It could have been a typical Zurich tour, but unfortunately, our experience was far from enjoyable.
Our tour guide, Lars, seemed to be taking it easy that day and, at one point, appeared to forget that he had instructed part of our group to wait for him at a statue on a bridge in Zurich. While he continued the tour and stopped to interpret the route for the Spanish-speaking guests, the rest of us were left behind. Seven of us were waiting for him, only to eventually realize that the group had moved on without us.
We were left wandering around trying to figure out what had happened and eventually had to ask our bus driver for help, only to discover that he didn't speak English. I confronted Lars and asked why he had left seven people behind, especially when managing the group is a fundamental responsibility of a tour guide. Unbelievable! The tour is mediocre at best with a 10 minute transport ferry tour and a "cable car" that squeezed us like sardines only to see an average views on top? I dont think I will recommend this tour for anyone.
Not to book the tour in the weekends to the crowds at the cable car area. Also there is no lake cruise
Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and passed on a lot of history of the city. The cable car rude was very good. Beautiful scenery at the top
The tour was in an overcrowded Coach following an ill plan route with no steps for photos or rationale as to why they were following this plan. The only restroom stop was with portable restrooms. The trip up the mountain smashed people in the cable cars to the point where several got very ill and one vomited. Finally, the eight minute trip on the water was keeping everybody inside the bus on a ferry with the whole experience, including no dialogue. Truly a large disappointment and a waste day. Quite a disappointment to family and friends.
Secondly, I want to comment on my scheduling. I booked this trip in advance received information that I would be credited with past trips with your company and indicating the day that I would be charged and when I would receive tickets. No tickets. I had to call from Europe. I was treated as though they never heard of me and it had to be a rebook and of course, no credit for past trips. We had always had good responses from your company and was extremely disappointed with this experience. Will I be receiving a refund for the credits awarded to me from past trips that theoretically we’re going to be applied to this booking.? Please feel free to contact me and I’ll give you even further detail.
Our guide was fantastic. The tour felt rushed because there was so much to do in so little time. Also a bummer that we couldn’t take the ferry because of a dry summer, there wasn’t enough water in the lake to hold the bus up on the ferry. We felt like we were running all over to see everything in such a short period of time. The cable car was nice but once at the top, it was a bit of a hike to get to the viewing area. Once leaving the viewing area, it’s a pretty steep incline hike back to the cable car so people with mobility issues will absolutely have a hard time with this.
This was a group of 50 and more. While booking we selected English language guide. They combined both English and Spanish into one tour and the guide was rushing through the narration as the bus was passing by each spot, location.
Be careful and don’t be scammed by the booking. I’m going to try and get a refund.
Great trip, got to take a gonola to a delicious dinner. We walked around Old Town Zurich and took a ferry trip!
Great tour to see all of Zürich in a short period of time! The fact that it is multi modal breaks up the 5 hour total time.
During the city tour it was almost impossible to hear and understand our guide - the city noise was very high, guide was not speaking in a microphone and we had no headphones to hear her. We walked around the city, never stepping inside to view what she was talking about. Was not impressed with the city tour.
Olga was a great tour guide. She taught us so much in so little, and she had to do the tour in both Spanish and English and as a bilingual she did amazing in both. In terms of the tour it was perfect… had everything I needed from Zurich.
Elisia was an awesome tour guide and very informational! She really knew her history. We were very glad we took this tour.
Best part was the cable car. Views of Zurich were awesome. The tour guide was a little monotone and left the tour a little flat.
It’s informative and a nice day. Dress appropriately because the air conditioner in the bus is not great.
A great look at Zurich with all the great views! I’ve got 2 days and appreciated the points of interest pointed out. Our guide and bus driver were the best!
Viator is always a great option.
This was a very brief overview of the city. We drove through most of it, very little walking, which was perfect for us, since we just arrived that day and were very jet lagged and tired. But this was a good start/introduction tour.
Wonderful tour that gives great information on the history and stories of Zurich. I really enjoyed this as my one full day in Zurich!
Friendly, lively, comfortable and air-conditioned bus, very knowledgeable tour guide and friendly. Recommendable
Guide was knowledgeable and entertaining. Driver was experience navigating tight corners. Give an A+ rating.
Lovely tour of Zurich The cable car was great excellent views over the city and the ferry ride finished off a good tour
horrific confusion dealing with this tour agency - all tours are a BIG gamble due to their confusion in helping clients. NEVER AGAIN!
Rafael was great! Beautiful views and informative. Definitely wear good shoes for the cable car trip.
We had an excellent afternoon exploring the city, enjoying the beautiful lake, and taking a cable car ride to admire the stunning views. Our guide, Gonzalo, was incredibly knowledgeable and shared fascinating insights about the city’s history, culture, and landmarks throughout the tour. His enthusiasm and expertise made the experience both enjoyable and informative. Highly recommended!
This was a great tour of Zurich during the 4-5 Hor excursion. Angela the tour director was great! Antonio was an amazing bus driver.
We were looking forward to the itinerary but it did not live up to the description. Whilst the guide did a fabulous job of being informative in two languages, the route was bland. The cable ride was okay but as a highlight did not counter the rest of the journey. The bus did not have a functioning air conditioner and the driver was very hard on the brakes. Would not personally recommend this tour to others.
Way too much time spent on a bus driving to a ferry that was a 5 minute ride across
The cable car was PACKED. Putting 30 people into the cable car was extremely uncomfortable and not enjoyable
I would not recommend this excursion
I really enjoyed this tour! And definitely recommend to others, tour guide was very informative and wasn’t rushed at all. Definitely enough time to relax and sight see without feeling rushed. I would do this again and recommend to family!
This « tour » is basically a transportation tour you have long bus rides a short ferry ride and a few minute crowded cable car ride. The sites are the end of these rides are mediocre at best. The guide does her best to provide interesting commentary but it doesn’t make up for the blah experience.
Very nice guides, but the tour itself and the picked location were okayish. Not much of Zurich to see at all. The view from the top was nice.
This tour was very extensive. I felt like I saw alot of Zurick.
The ferry was a nice was to get out on the lake.
Overall I would definitely recommend this tour.
Great value for money. Though zurich was expensjve this trip was value for money. Cable car and ferry rides were a great experience.
