Perfect way to see Zurich by foot, boat, train, and cable car. Greg was a wonderful guide because he shared information about sights, history, transportation with a sense of humor. Bonus- he gave each guest a chocolate as a souvenir. We had a day in Zurich and we left the tour with a good sense of the city, the citizens and history of the country. We enjoyed walking in old town, seeing a Roman fort, Lake Zurich and Felsenberg. The ferry ride was beautiful. We took a cable car after the ferry to a local park with spectacular views of Lake Zurich. Highly recommend this tour.

Michael was an exceptional tour guide! We thoroughly enjoyed learning about Swiss history and taking all the different modes of transportation kept the tour interesting. Such a beautiful day for a ferry ride and seeing the great panoramic view of Zurich from top of mountain.
Tour was interesting, informative, and well paced. Michael was a tremendous guide. Highly recommend.
Be prepared for some uphill walking, but worthwhile to view the city and surrounding areas.

Expect some changes to the itinerary due to water levels w/ the ferry. Also the order of the 3-in-1 tours, may change due to the low water. What a great way to see the city- is good for those who haven’t ever been to Zurich.

Outstanding walking tour of Zurich today with a fun bunch of people! Funicular to Polyterrasse, cruise on Lake Zurich, learned about clocks, Swiss bunkers (Google it!), chocolate, cheese, rode trolleys, the cable car, and we hiked to Felsenegg. Phew. The experience was much more extensive than we expected! Greg was an excellent guide, highly recommend!
Our guide Michael was amazing, he was very knowledgeable of the city of Zurich being a resident there, providing us with the history of this incredible city. We started our day with a walking tour for approximately 2 hours covering many interesting areas where we took several types of public transportation to get to our different destinations.
We then made our way to Lake Zurich where we boarded a public ferry and took a leisurely 1 hour cruise around the lake and rested our legs.
From there we traveled by cable car to the top of the city where we were able to grab some lunch while enjoying the amazing views of Zurich.
Highly recommend this 3 in 1 day trip
If you've only got one day to roam around in Zurich, this is a great day tour to take it all in and see the city. Greg was a super guide!
We thoroughly enjoyed this walking tour of Zurich today! We covered an impressive distance on foot plus train and tram rides, a sightseeing boat ride and a trip up a mountain on a gondola. Learned much historical info and captured a ton of great photos around the town and the surrounding valley. Special thanks to tour guide Michael - he was outstanding and very organized!

This is a great way to get the feel of Zürich. The walking tour was full of info- we learned some really fun and unexpected facts about the city. A beautiful boat ride on the lake and then a trip up the cable car. Our guide was friendly and very fun, hopefully you are lucky enough to have Gregory as your tour guide. I really appreciated the detailed directions for finding the tour start and the guide. Met a group of really nice people on the tour as well. Would 100% recommend this tour.
This tour moves fast and you will, too. But there is enough time in each part to see, learn and enjoy.

This type of tour’s success depends on the tour guide’s imagination, planning and ability to engage participants - Greg was all of that. We toured the old town first learning many interesting things about city history and Swiss culture. A nice break was a ferry tour of the lake followed by a train to a cable car where the view of the city, lake and countryside was amazing. It was a very full and interesting 6 hours.
We had the best day with Greg he was well versed and a joy to be led by! We feel like we had a great introduction to Zurich; in the old town the boat cruise and the cable car ride; we meet a great group of travellers; highly recommend!

I was doubtful when I read all the great reviews but after taking the tour with Greg I can confirm that this is an amazing tour. He’s a very good guide, speaks good English and has a sense of humor. The photos on his iPad were very helpful. As mentioned before, this is a fast paced tour with considerable walking that includes inclines/declines and cobblestone roads. Highly recommend!
One of the best tours I've experienced. It was about 8 of us on the tour. Our tour guide was very friendly, patient, communicate well and just let us feel so at ease. He did not hesitate to answer any questions that was asked of him. I will book with him again anytime we travel to Switzerland. He's the best.
Vasi was our guide. He was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. I liked his energy. We used several modes of transportation - tram, bus, boat and of course, walking. I leant a lot about Zurich and Switzerland. Recommend this tour.

Bring a water bottle and either a raincoat or umbrella in case it rains along with good walking shoes.

Only suggestion for improvement: make meeting point clearer - it didn’t state in the confirmation that we needed to meet by the museum sign so everyone in the group was scattered around. In addition it would be helpful if the tour guide had some sign/lanyard to identify her-/himself so people can look out for them

Thank you for the feedback. We are, however, a little surprised by the comments regarding the meeting point and guide identification.
The booking ticket clearly indicates the meeting point: the vertical LANDESMUSEUM panel in front of the Swiss National Museum. It is not hidden in fine print or written in invisible ink — it is clearly stated on the ticket. We strongly recommend reading the meeting instructions carefully before joining a tour.
As for identifying the guide: all our guides are carrying an iPad displaying the names of the guests. We are genuinely curious what could be a clearer way of identifying the guide than a person standing at the designated meeting point with a device showing the group’s names.
We also spoke with Greg, who mentioned that several guests were sitting at the museum café. Just to clarify: the café is not the meeting point.
And, as a general rule, if you have booked a tour, the departure time arrives, and you don’t immediately see your guide, the reasonable thing to do is to stand up, look around the designated meeting area, and check the surroundings. Remaining comfortably seated in a café and waiting for the guide with a red carpet to somehow locate you is, unfortunately, not quite how group tours work.
The tour itself was described as friendly, professional, knowledgeable and well-paced, and we are very pleased that you enjoyed the experience overall. We simply encourage future guests to follow the clearly stated meeting-point instructions — it makes the beginning of the tour considerably easier for everyone.
