Julianna was an excellent guide. She set a reasonable pace and chose well for the selection of samples. She provided interesting and pertinent historical comments about the chocolate industry, the city and the region. She was also most helpful with local recommendations. We enjoyed the tour and recommend it.

Arch guy was excellent. He was very knowledgeable about Zürich and the history of it, which was included with the chocolate tastings. It was great to try three different types of chocolates From three different chocolatiers.

Don’t bother booking with his operator because even when you’re at the location, They don’t say anybody here for the chocolate tour. I finally was able to get a hold of somebody 30 minutes after the tour started and he told me that he would give me a refund. I just got notification from Viator that Patric at the chocolate tour would not honor his word. So we ended up getting ripped off. I hope you don’t get ripped off by them too.
Great chocolate tour and history of Zurich
Sam_B, Jun 2026
Luckily enough I had a tour by myself which is a rarity in itself! Yasi (hoping I’ve spelt him name right) was an awesome guide.
It was interesting to find out about the connection and history of chocolate in Switzerland, as well as other historical sites in Zurich.
I also got to try chocolate and luxemburgerli (like mini macrons) and it was absolutely delicious!
I highly recommend this tour when you’re in Zurich.

When we got to the tour we realized this was free to other people in our group. They just were encouraged to give a tip based on how well they enjoyed it. That felt a little disingenuous for us to have paid $79 for a tour that is free. It was a fascinating tour that we really enjoyed!
Chocolate walking tour in Zurich - AMAZING
Joshua_W, Jul 2025
Great experience. Got the best chocolates in Zürich. The history of the chocolates, with a little integer spurs, history of the city of Zürich. Lots of rich history here. And wonderful.
Very enjoyable

I love a tour that’s a mix of history and fascinating trivia- this was it! Our guide Vanessa, was fun and funny and a wealth of knowledge. Our group of 6 including teenagers loved it. A little light on the chocolate- only 3 stops, but what we had was terrific.

Magdalena was a pure gem!!! She was full of energy, joy, passion and knowledge. It's obvious that she loves her job!!! The walking tour was fantastic and we learned interesting (and funny) tid bits of knowledge about Zurich. They were VERY generous on the samples of chocolate (all great quality) and enjoyed the parts of the city that she showed us.

I never found the tour. I put the meeting place into Google maps and followed exactly, and there was even a building with the right name on it as written in the instructions, but apparently it wasn’t the right place. I called the tour guide 2 times and left three messages to see where I could meet them, and only one message was returned too late. I tried asking for a refund but Viator refused, so that’s why I didn’t take the tour. Other tours I’ve taken were fine but I was super disappointed this time.
More chocolate
Deborah_S, Nov 2024
Tour guide was great. Learned many things about city. For a chocolate tour there was not a lot of chocolate tasting. Only went to 3 stores.
Disappointed
Christina_T, Oct 2024
Unfortunately, this was the worst tour I took while visiting Europe with my mom.
I know since it was an inexpensive tour it wouldn't be too fancy but I expected a better experience.
The tour guide was a bit inexperienced. The tour could have been organized much better. There were a lot of people on the tour (about 40). This was too many people for this tour. The chocolate shops couldn't even fit everyone in there. Therefore, we didn't even get to go in all the shops on the tour and do tastings.
The tour guide bought some chocolate from the grocery store and passed it around to compare it to the "fancy" chocolate. It was a bit of an odd choice.
Overall, I wish the experience was a bit better since there are so many amazing chocolate shops in Zurich.
Great combo of tour, information and chocolat sampling
Gina_Z, Oct 2024
An interesting combo of city tour combined with the background and sampling of three of the most popular Swiss chocolatiers of Zurich. We got information on the city (present and past) and got to try the specialty of each of the three stores.
Our guide was very friendly. With the noise of the traffic it was at times hard to understand. The information we got was interesting but a bit dry. A portion of humor would have lifted the group's spirit.
Chocolate PLUS
Rhonda_D, Sep 2024
It was a rainy day in Zurich, but the weather didn’t dampen the spirit of our guide: Noa. She was informative, engaging, and joyful. We visited three different chocolatiers and had wonderful samples at each. Along the way, we learned historic facts about the city. We had a wonderful time.
Who doesn't love chocolate!
John_A, Sep 2024
We had Anna & Magda as our tour guides for this walking chocolate tour on our last day. Whilst the rain couldn't be helped, the skies cleared as the tour progressed.
The tour itself covers a couple of the larger stores and also some of the smaller independent shops, with Anna and Magda explaining the history of the shops and also bringing out several chocolate samples to try before we had time to enter each store and buy a selection of our favourites.
We did this walking tour on our last day whilst killing time before heading to the airport and it was a wonderful end to our trip and good chance to stock up on the proper Swiss chocolate before heading home.
Delicious, fabulous chocolate tour!

We had a wonderful time on the tour! The guide was knowledgeable and simply lovely. She brought us to wonderful shops, the chocolate was delicious and we learned much about the city! Fabulous tour!
