What are people saying about Venice

Great tour and avoided...
Great tour and avoided the San Marcos area, which was great because we had another tour there with friends. Explored San Polo and Cannaregio areas, less crowded, different stories and obvious that some Venetians still live there. Sebastian’s gave great insights throughout. Excellent tour and recommended.

Great Tour
Great tour to see Venetian culture about glassblowing and lace making. We love the beautiful bright-colored buildings of Burano. You do get free time to stroll through the island and take photos or to get something to eat. The boat ride was great to get another view of Venice and the two islands.

Alice gave our group...
Alice gave our group fantastic insight into what makes Venice so unique, with a great combination of old history and current events included in her tour. She was interactive and friendly throughout our walk, and provided information even while she kept us moving from one area to the next. Highly recommended.

Tone was a great tour...
Tone was a great tour guide. He took us to some great places and explained the different types of food we were trying and made suggestions on what drinks (not included, purchased separately) would go well. We made 5 stops. Our family of 5 all really enjoyed the 1st stop at Alla Fonda which is a very rare occurrence for all of us to like something. And of course we all loved the last stop for gelato that is made right on location. I especially loved that Tone had a book he used to show us the history of how Venice started and the foundation system. I enjoyed this so much I thought about booking another food tour the next day, but we just didn't have enough time.

Good but warm
Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and enthusiastic. The focus of the tour is the Doges Palace and not St Marks. The tour got a bit long in the palace on a warm summer day with no AC, crowds, and a lot of stuffy rooms. Interesting but we got worn out and would have been happy spending less time in the palace and more in St Marks.

The Greatest Sights of Venice
The tour of the Doge's Palace and St Marks Basilica was amazing. Our tour guide Iole was so knowledgeable and presented the whole tour with great passion and interest. The magnificent rooms with amazing paintings in the Doge's Palace were absolutely stunning. We walked over the 'Bridge of Sighs' to the Prison, a remarkable experience. St Marks Basilica was remarkable; the walls all covered in gold ground mosaics. Then we went up to the balcony and walked outside with the most tremendous view of St Marks Square you could ever imagine. This is an absolutely unique opportunity to see the great building and to hear the fascinating history of the great City of Venice.

Really good tour. Our guide was Elena and she provided a really interesting tour, explained a lot about the history of Venice and interaction with the group was good. If you only have a day in Venice I would recommend it as also includes gondola ride.

Highly recommend tour of Basilica and Doge’s Palace
A native Venetian and educated in art history, Marina was an excellent and very knowledgeable tour guide. Her English is flawless and she shared interesting insights and perspectives everywhere. We appreciated her intelligence and delivery-very genuine with a touch of humor where appropriate- and importantly, not annoying the way some tour guides are too dramatic, talk too much, or try to hard to be funny.

We booked our tour with...
We booked our tour with Francesca and she was delightful. She was very kind and knowledgeable. Our group was composed of a few large parties and it was very easy to navigate without getting separated. The glass blowing and traditional lace making were beautiful as well as the towns. We had a great time!

Fab food and drinks
Levy was so much fun on this tour. Highly knowledgeable about the food and drink and it was great to try foods from down little alleyways that you probably wouldn’t even find. She was a very refreshing young lady with a huge personality. Fantastic food that wouldn’t think to combine together. Highly recommended 😊

Major and off the beaten path sites
Wonderful intro to Venice. Jack was our guide and led us to all the important areas to see but also off the beaten path little treasures. So informative. Also gave us notes of his favorite places. Really fantastic guide and great experience of culture, history and stories.

Great walking tour
Giada was truly a great and informed tour guide. Loved hearing about the history and architecture of Venice, and while they promised less than 10 people (we had 12 and 2 don’t show which means 14), but it was ok. Giada was great with taking us places slightly off the beaten path. Venice is very very busy though.

Not seeing something you are looking for?
Venice is completely closed to traffic, but its maze of alleys and canals is almost impenetrable to a first-time visitor. Skip the hassle of following a map and see the A-list sights and quiet neighborhoods far from the tourist crush with a walking tour of Venice. Choose an express tour to get your bearings or a longer half- or full-day tour for a deep dive into the city’s history and culture with a private guide or a small group. For the full Venice experience, explore the city by land and water with a combination walking tour and gondola ride.
