Our tour guide, Bubble, was excellent. He did a great job explaining each site we visited. And he provided wifi and water in his van. Even though all the trails were closed due to the big earthquake in 2024, our tour guide, Steven, was still able to show us quite a few good spots to explore and take photos. Perfect day trip to Pingxi area from Taipei!

Perfect day trip from Taipei to Pingxi area to see Shifen, Jiufen and Yehliu in one day. These are must see places and this tour allows all to be visited in one day from Taipei with the convenience of a driver and guide. Walter was a friendly, knowledgeable guide who kept an excellent schedule and ensured everyone was on track with timings, food, and toilet breaks, and we all had a great time. The Shifen waterfall was beautiful including the walk to it, with plenty of time to admire and take pictures. The sky lantern experience at Shifen old town was a highlight of my whole Taiwan trip, writing on the paper lantern and releasing it into the sky on the train tracks. Juifen had lots of great food shops and also the Spirited Away teahouse. Yehliu Geopark was something different with very interesting rock formations.

You come to Taipei for the culture, the history and the FOOD. You get all three with Garen. Amazing guide who really goes out of her way to give you the best experience possible. She contacts you early to find out your level of food experiences and you level of adventure. She tailors your tour to that. We are adventurous foodies that will try anything. She made sure we had the best time and the best food. From Taiwanese “burritos” to Stinky Tofu (which, by the way, is delicious. She interacts with the vendors like family and really encourages you to as well. She is a wealth of knowledge with regards to the history of Taiwan and its precarious geopolitical role it plays on our planet. Her insight into food and the part it plays in our health and welfare was amazing. The variety of the ten food stops is perfect. You will not be disappointed. Come hungry. We ate well, but Garen made sure the portion sizes were appropriate for the day. You get just the right amount to keep you going and not feel too full. Just right. We loved this tour!! If you are interested in tea and where the tea leaves come from, this is the tour to take. We learned a lot from the guide, the museum was small but mighty, and we especially loved the tea tasting at the end. It was nice to know what type of tea tasted like , before buying. We had our 10 year old with us and she said it was kid friendly! She especially liked the peanut tea candies.
