A Perfect Tour. You won’t be sorry!

OMG. This was the absolute best tour. A few days before the tour I received an email outlining who the driver would be, his make/ model/color of vehicle along with the license. When we got to the cruise terminal Samuel was waiting for us with a sign showing my name. We didn’t realize at the time our good fortune of getting Samuel as our guide. Samuel was a delight to talk with and a wealth of knowledge about his city. He also has a delightful sense of humor. I explained what I hoped to see that day and he made it happen and a lot more. His suggestions turned out to be the most interesting part of the day. In addition he took pictures of our experiences. By the end of the day we felt we had a friend in Taipei not just a tour guide. His car was spotless and his driving was perfect. This coming from my husband who taught drivers training. Samuel made sure to maximize our time and efficiently get to all the requested stops. Another highlight was the tea house for lunch and the tea ceremony which he translated for us. Juifen is a charming city and should not be missed on your tour. If you have any doubts about taking this tour they are unfounded and if you are lucky enough to get Samuel as your driver you will be blessed with a wonderful day.

I was particularly lucky...

I was particularly lucky and got a guide and a driver all to myself, which also meant bonus stops along the way. In my opinion, the light drizzle only emphasized the magic of Yangmingshan national park, and all the hot springs we visited around Beitou. A very dreamy day to soak in some of all the incredible landscapes and natural wonders relatively close to Taipei, not too much time spent in the car. My guide James was super knowledgeable and enthusiastic, keen to share tons of historical and natural history tidbits that I much appreciated. Great lunch spot visited as well; highly enjoyed by this vegetarian. A special treat all in all! Would love to do again and recommend highly. I prefer nature outings on the more active side, and I imagine this could be adapted/adjusted depending on the group's preference.

Amazing Experience!

Our tour guide, Steven was great! He checked in the day prior, was on time the next day. Safe driver and went at our pace. Every stop was truly special. We visited during the Autumn New Moon festival so every place was PACKED. But we made the most of it. The last city (Jiufren), although a bit strenuous was worth all the stairs. The sunset view is breathtaking.

Our tea tour and tasting...

Our tea tour and tasting was one of the highlights of our trip. Our guide, James, was fantastic. He shared lots of interesting and educational information about the history of tea, and his enthusiasm made every stop engaging. We came away knowing so much more than we expected. The views of Thousand Island Lake were simply amazing. The scenery alone made the tour worth it, and we took more photos than we can count. The tea tasting at the end was the perfect finish: delicious, fun, and a great way to put everything we'd learned into practice. We highly recommend this tour to anyone who loves tea, history, or beautiful scenery. Thank you, James, for such a memorable experience!

Excellent half day bike tour around Taipei.

An excellent 4 hour guided bike tour around Taipei with our knowledgeable guide Zak from Taipei Bike Works, taking in many sights including the Chiang Kai Chek Memorial, inside several temples, a typical Taiwanese breakfast, the changing of the guard, and along the river path. Zak succinctly summarised the history of Taiwan and gave us many insights into significant events past, present, and future.

Henry gave us a tour starting from our hotel and it was absolutely worth it! He was knowledgeable about so many places everywhere we went. He was kind and considerate each and every time we stopped. Jack Chou did a wonderful job showing us around Taroko Gorge. Due to the 2024 earthquake, there are still limited times during which cars are allowed to pass through the roads. Jack navigated the times well and showed us what was currently viewable without any delays. He knows the sites for the good pictures even with current repairs being made.
