What are people saying about Tahiti

It is a long day in the back of a Ute but the sights are spectacular and the guide very knowledgeable. Despite the bumpy ride, it is definitely worth it. I wished we could stop more often - including pit stops as there is really only one , half way through the trip —but I understand that it is not very practical as it would make the day even longer.

The Perfect Way to Experience Tahiti
We cannot say enough wonderful things about Traci. She was warm, thoughtful, and incredibly attentive, and she curated our tour in a way that felt perfectly tailored to us. More than just showing us the highlights, she went above and beyond to share a personal and authentic side of Tahiti that made the experience unforgettable. Her care, knowledge, and genuine hospitality made us feel so welcomed, and we are truly grateful for the time we spent with her. We would recommend Traci without hesitation to anyone wanting a beautiful and meaningful experience in Tahiti.

Not to be missed!
We had a fabulous time on this tour! Our guide was so much fun, sharing history, culture and daily life as an islander with us. Our group size was 8, the van was air conditioned and comfortable, and our guide was extremely knowledgeable. She took us from one end of the island to the other, with many interesting stops along the way. We also stopped by her family home and her mom treated us to a home cooked snack. Yum!

The pure beauty of nature and feeling the islands Mana
10/10 would recommend Rainui’s tours. He’s funny, charismatic and extremely knowledgeable on the islands native Tahitian history and culture. The bumpy but adventurous ride makes for some entertainment. Swimming in the local river and standing under a waterfall was my highlight. Visiting Marae was truly spiritually moving. Rainui deeply cares for his fellow people and the culture.
A word of advice if you don’t like to hear TRUE history on colonisers and the impact they’ve made on native people then don’t come lol

You get to learn about...
You get to learn about the island of Tahiti. Where people live and work. The beautiful waterfall, gardens and historical sites. Stop at local fruit stands, eat traditional foods. Our tour guide Antoinette was a lot of fun, local Tahitian with lots of stories of traditional family life! She was great!!

The whole adventure was better than just a snorkel trip
Our captain served as an excellent tour and served as a local history guide. We went to the nicest spots for snorkeling and Nandi then on to lunch where the captain prepared fresh poke with coconut milk
One of our guests even had a birthday cake served and shared on the beach.

Great day on the sea!!
My husband and I were on our honeymoon and came across this experience, and we're so glad we did! It was an early start but worth it as our guide wanted us to hit our first stop before other tours arrived. We snorkled with stingrays and sharks and it was awesome! we also swam with fishes and learned about the undersea statues. Ended with a cocktail. Our guides were informative and friendly and the day was beautiful! This was also great for kids! Highly recommend this experience!!

Our Best Sea Turtle Experience to Date
Opting out of the cruise offered excursions for this stop, given so many other options, we booked this tour direct with ViaTor and had a great experience.
I was concerned about my first time going independent of the cruise program; but, everything worked out smoothly. Our team, Tumate (spelling?) met us right at our tender pier as we arrived. Super convenient! And, the comms through the Viator App leading up to that were prompt and effective.
Tumate was very proud of the island heritage and culture and shared numerous personal stories of growing up locally.
Things got off to a bit of a slow start as we first started the tour; but, he seemed to know he had aces in his pocket that he was going to play in the end. He even commented he liked the “cherry on top” approach. And, boy did he finish strong with that!
Tumate seemed to focus on avoiding the crowds, and took us around to the west side which felt more remote. We exited the lagoon for a short period into the deeper waters in search of Dolphins; but, were unsuccessful. Not the team’s fault. We were then taken to a very productive coral garden where we were the only boat and had a pleasant snorkel there.
Coming back, Tumate dropped us into a channel where we struck “Turtle Gold!” My wife was so excited as this was on the list of things she really wanted to experience and, boy, did we! While the waters were choppy, and not necessarily beginner level, we immediately saw multiple turtles hunkered down on the sea bed of the channel. Tumate was an excellent free diver and was going down to point them out for us. He even took our GoPro down for some close up shots! And, we also got to see some surfacing for air and get up for a real close experience which was amazing!
We were fortunate as well to hit a large school of Eaglerays which were just beautiful! And, he dove down and got some great close up pictures of those for us as well.
Lastly, we finished with a sandy bottom shallow snorkel where we had close encounters with black tip sharks and stingrays, often even in the same picture frame!
They dropped us back at the pier right on time and we were elated with all that we were able to see and experience in such a short time. Overall, a great tour and way to experience this beautiful island and its majestic scenery and marine life.

Loved the jet skiing,...
Loved the jet skiing, loved Moorea! Great communication with the team to help us navigate iffy weather and a pick up at the ferry. The ride was a fabulous way to see the island and be on the gorgeous lagoon waters. Tini made each of our stops along the way a fun way to learn about Moorea. The time swimming and snorkeling with the reef sharks, sting rays, and colorful fish was a trip highlight. Thank you so much for making sure we had pictures of our day—and for the fast, fun ride back to beat the weather!

Great experience! We went...
Great experience! We went out on the tour with 8 people total. Our guide was great. He explained how to use the ATVs thoroughly and always checked up on everyone. You really get some great views of the beautiful scenery. Definitely bring bug spray and recommend wearing close toed shoes. One of the highlights of our trip. We bought the solo rider package so each of us got our own ATV and that is way more fun in my experience. They picked us up and dropped us off from the hotel we were staying. Everything was timely. The ATVs are well maintained. Great way to experience the island off of the main road and to reach view points not accessible by car.

Jet Ski tour was highlight of our trip. Plan ahead for weather.
The jet ski tour was super! We did the three hour tour with our family of four including two kids 10 & 11 yo. Mom had not driven a jet ski before and was aprhensivie, but our guide Tiki was helpful and within about 5 minutes of training we were on our way over crystal blue waters in Moorea like something out of a movie. We snorkleded near Coco Beach and another area where we were able to swim with reef sharks and rays. The sharks from what we read and heard are not dangerous in this area. Everyone agreed this was the highlight of our trip in Moorea. Things to know - we travelled in December the rainy season, so our trip was canceled the first try due to rain. We rescheduled and luckily got in before we left. The staff is very helpful and communicates promptly on WhatsApp. They provide masks, but bring snorkel if you have it, change of clothes and dry bag for phone. Rest you can keep at their launching area. Activities get booked quickly so try to plan your schedule soon in you vacation. if you are very risk averse you may prefer the boat ride instead of Jet Ski, though it was a very fun experience for us.

Swim with Whales
Wow! This is truly an incredible experience. We saw a mother and baby; they got so close to us! You definitely need to be a decent swimmer.
Our guide, Nicolas, and boat driver, Henua, were knowledgable, skilled, and accommodating. They had cold beverages available on the ride back and dropped people off right at their resort if it was along the water. This is a must-do while in Mo’orea.
Suggestions- wear a wetsuit if you have one and bring your own fins. They give you a life jacket which creates a lot of drag. Snorkel gear is provided, but we would have been more comfortable in our own fins.
