Our local, native guide Marie was Amazing! So kind, knowledgeable & throrough. She truly exhibited the beautiful spirit of the Tahitian people.

We had an absolutely amazing experience touring Tahiti with Marie. From the moment we met her, she was incredibly warm, kind, and welcoming, which made us feel comfortable right away.
Marie is extremely knowledgeable about Tahiti’s history, culture, and traditions. She shared so many interesting stories and insights that really brought each place to life and gave us a much deeper appreciation for the island.
What made the experience even more special were the personal touches she added throughout the day. She surprised us with delicious homemade snacks prepared by her mother, which were absolutely amazing and such a thoughtful, authentic touch.
She was also very attentive and made sure we were always comfortable and enjoying ourselves. It truly felt like we were exploring Tahiti with a friend rather than just a guide.
Thanks to Marie, this was an unforgettable experience that we will cherish forever. We highly recommend her to anyone visiting Tahiti who wants a meaningful, fun, and authentic tour!

So accommodating with our travel plans and learning about Tahiti along the way. The rest of the group we were with was very entertaining too

Bit crowded in the van. The stops were great. Loved the waterfalls and the black sand beach and the fresh water cave
Francine_N, Mar 2026
Travel is in an 8 passenger van, but that includes two riding up front with the driver guide.
Places we visited were excellent and we had one exceptional surprise included.
Driver guide was very good but should have used a microphone so guests in the back could hear him easier.

we had an excellent guide Marie who treated us as friends from abroad more than clients. She showed us around the usual tourist destinations in Tahiti with an added bonus to a local farm, with home made banana pancakes and a look to the real life of the locals. Happy time flies fast and we missed an archeological site. Hope to return again to Tahiti for more in depth understanding of the local culture and beautiful scenery.

Wonderful island tour with a special hometown visit. Lots of stops on the way. Our tour guide was so nice and friendly!

Excellent communications from the operator (MJ) who speaks and writes fluent English, regarding any delays with pickup times. The guide for our tour was Mana, who was excellent! He kept everything on track and was very personable with the group.
Kent_T, Mar 2026
The guide spoke reasonable English. But of the 8 travelers, 2 spoke French only , Two were French Canadians. While guide spoke in English for the key elements , the vast majority was in French. My group understood English only. The French couple dominated all the conversation.

Even with the rain which is unusual we had a good tour of the temples, gardens, black sand beach and waterfalls. Lunch was served at the home of one of the tour companies family and was a nice surprise for all. Very gracious hosts.

Ma'an our tour guide and driver is a cheerful and knowledgeable guy, on top of the tour above he even brought us to his mother in law house for tea

We had some issues with a late arrival on our ship, and the local tour operator took that into account and accommodated us. The guide was knowledgeable and friendly, and took us to a special stop at a locals house, which was lovely. I highly recommend them!

Marie was a great tour guide. We really enjoyed learning the history of Tahiti and she provided very interesting information about the infrastructure of island, religion, agriculture. A highlight was stopping at her mother’s farm, beautifully set on a beach, where we were served fresh fruit, homemade banana pancakes, and limeade. Interestingly enough, Marie is the great-granddaughter of the author of “Mutiny on the Bounty”. Her multi-generational experience of Tahiti provided a very interesting perspective. As far as timing, we were picked up at our hotel at 8:30 and dropped off by 2:00. There were 8 people in an air-conditioned van and she had plenty of water and even mango soda. Highly recommend!

Much better than the simple drive around the Island. More stops and more personalized and cultural experience.

This was a great way to see the east side of the island. We drove to the meet up spot and it was no problem getting there. The tour guide did offer to pick us up but it was too last minute for my liking. The black sand beaches are stunning and i think better than the white sand beach at PK 18. The temples were so beautiful and peaceful. Our tour guide was amazing and so knowledgeable. The trip to his girlfriend’s parent’s house was the highlight for me and the moms banana crepes were amazing. We met wonderful people from the US to converse with along the trip. The waterfalls are absolutely breathtaking wow! At the end of the tour we ate at Mama’s Beach House next to the lighthouse at Point Vénus and the food was amazing. You gotta try the Mahi Mahi with rice and vanilla crème sauce omg delicious. I’m dreaming about that meal. Top it off with a local beer on draft. Overall wonderful tour. Definitely recommend.

You get a great overview of the island. You learn a lot of the history. It was nice traveling in an air conditioned van.
Teresa_T, Mar 2026
Air conditioned comfortable van and Mana, our perfect guide (knowledgeable with a pleasing personality and a great sense of humor) made the tour totally enjoyable.
Maria_G, Mar 2026
The day was filled with confusion. Tour was to be a small group in a van/ended up in a bigger group on a bus. Told van inoperable. Informed we would have a longer tour(approx.6rs) because of more people on tour. We didn't because of late start due to ship port delay. We were told by our tour guide that our tour would be a half day tour not a full tour due to time and some compensation would be given. It was not. Usually a small group tour is more costly than with a bigger group. A lot of the stops were stated for 30-45 mins but at times we only stopped for about 15 mins.. I know Mana (tour guide)tried his best.
We use Viator a lot. So we were a bit disappointed.
Response from Host, Mar 2026
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.
Unfortunately, on that day the cruise ship arrived approximately five hours late due to an incident onboard and was unable to dock at the scheduled time. Despite this major delay, we chose not to mark the tour as a no-show and instead waited at the cruise terminal 5 hours, because we didn’t have any information of when they will dock. Waiting so that guests who still wished to join the tour could participate.
To accommodate as many travelers as possible, some guests joined the tour that day and others were rescheduled for the following day. Our goal was to provide the tour experience rather than cancel it due to circumstances outside of anyone’s control.
We also informed guests that, due to a vehicle issue the previous week, the tour would be operated with a larger vehicle. However, we still maintained a small group and extended the tour to approximately six hours so guests could still experience the island despite the late start.
We truly appreciate your understanding in such an unusual situation. Mana and our team did their best to deliver the tour under these unexpected circumstances, and we are grateful that many guests were still able to enjoy the experience.
Thank you again for your feedback and for traveling with US.

I strongly recommend this tour to everyone. The itinerary hits all the highlights, including one not covered by other tours, in a very nice and clean van, and the best tour operater ever! Marie-Jeanne was extremely knowledgeable about the history, culture and nature of Tahiti, as well as French Polynesia. She was very thorough and engaging, delivering every narration and answer to questions with her excellent English and delightful charm and smiles. She was considerate of every tour member's special needs or interests. And she provided a very personal, one-of-a-kind experience by introducing us to her sweet mother, who served us Tahitian treats that she baked just for us that morning. Marie-Jeanne is remarkable!

Very well planned with some additional extras, beautiful crepes and seashell memories. Our guide was charming and informative. The vehicle was spacious and comfortable.
NickGalotti, Feb 2026
Great overview of everything special on this island. Wonderful native guide with comfortable air condition vehicle.
Benjamin_H, Feb 2026
Mana is a great tour guide fluent in French and English. He's well informed of the history and culture of the Polynesian people both past and contemporary.
His vehicle is well maintained, clean and well air-conditioned. The visit to his partner's family on the edge of the ocean was a brilliant example of the hospitality and warmth of the people of Tahiti.
I highly recommend his tour to you.
Thanks for a wonderful 5 hour tour.

Marie-Jeanne was an amazing tour guide! She was super knowledgeable about Tahiti and was warm, friendly, and funny! She picked us up right from the airport on time! She was able to accommodate all of our luggage during the tour. We went around the entire island of Tahiti Nui and saw many amazing things! She even took us to visit her mom at her rabbit farm. Her mom was adorable and gave us the most delicious (and still warm from the oven) cake to try and gave each of us a little glass jar full of shells as a souvenir. This was a fantastic excursion which I highly recommend!
Julie_D, Feb 2026
We enjoyed the tour very much. It was a good overview of special points on the island, including monuments, volcanic beach, waterfalls, water gardens, etc. Our tour guide Marie was very personable, knowledgeable, and friendly. She even drove us past her mom‘s home for a quick stop for a homemade treat! The only thing we would suggest to improve the experience would be one or two brief stops at scenic beaches, in order to take pictures of the beautiful coastline of Tahiti.
Arthur_D, Feb 2026
6 people in the tour, our guide was very capable in her knowledge of Tahiti as she grew up here, we went at a very relaxed pace and she took into account the desires of the tourists. We stopped at her mother’s home briefly and devoured her local style breakfast crepes. The stops were perfectly timed and our time was efficiently used. I highly recommend
Heather_B, Feb 2026
Marie Jeanne was an outstanding tour guide for our exploration of Tahiti, as well as being very warm and welcoming. She is very knowledgeable and personable and explained everything about the history, important culture sites, flora and fauna along the way. We even stopped at her Mom’s house where a delicious snack was provided to us as well as a small gift. I highly recommend that you book your tour with this company and enjoy the day, you won’t be disappointed!
