Such a cool experience! Sebastian was a great guide. Really good tour for anyone not great at swimming or who tire easy.
We went to 3 locations and all were super cool. Felt like we got to spend alot if time in the water. The scooters made everything so much easier and took the stress of fighting currents out of the situation. I will definitely do this again!

We received a friendly reception. I loved the cute wetsuit I was asked to wear. It was surprisingly easy to use the sea scooter. A highlight was the orange-fin anemone fish which I have never seen before. I really enjoyed myself. The tour was guided by a marine biologist! The captain has super skills handling the boat. He is very caring and his assistance resulted in me being able to snorkel with great confidence the rest of the holiday. The friendly ray caught up with us at the last stop. I have a great appreciation for beautiful corals and I was suitably impressed with this spot and the excursion. The video quality is excellent.

What a great trip! We saw so many marine creatures and beautiful corral gardens. The water was calm and warm with great visibility. It was our first time using the sea scooter and they gave us plenty of time in the shallow lagoon to familiarize ourselves with the equipment before starting the tour. The guide was not only a very experienced diver but a great photographer as well. With his close up photos of rays and turtles, I didn't have to struggle with my own GoPro. Highly recommended!

The guide, who was a professional photographer, was much more focused on taking pictures than on the guiding job. Although he is very talented, I felt like the point of the trip was to try to sell us an $80 video package (photos were extra) at the end. My partner and I both had GoPro type cameras, which could be managed while driving the sea scooter, but the guide nixed them saying photographers have a tendency to go off on their own. Although we were instructed to follow him like ducklings, he was difficult to locate because he was zig-zagging around looking for fish to take pictures of.
That being said, the snorkeling sites were excellent, and the group was small and manageable. Our masks were old and scratched, but didn't leak. The scooter itself was as advertised, but was hard to slow down if someone (usually the guide taking pictures) was stopped in front of you.

Our guides are trained professionals who conduct detailed briefings on equipment use, marine biology, and environmental preservation before every tour. The instruction not to focus on your GoPro screen is a safety measure to prevent accidents. As our guides explain, many guests become so engrossed in their camera that they lose awareness of their surroundings and risk running into the coral reef or other swimmers. While many tours forbid personal cameras entirely, we simply ask our guests to be mindful.
Regarding our guides' focus on photography, we apologize if you felt this was the main purpose of the tour.
Our goal is to provide an incredible guided experience while also offering the option to purchase high-quality photos and videos as a memorable souvenir.
As the vast majority of our 445 reviews show, our guests consistently appreciate this service as a great way to take home professional-quality memories.
Finally, we are sorry you found the masks to be scratched.
While it is true that the plastic lenses can show minor scuffs, these scratches are not visible underwater and do not obstruct the panoramic view that these modern masks provide.
We are disappointed that your tour was an exception to the overwhelmingly positive experiences we provide.

We have snorkeled a number of times before, elsewhere around the world, but the sea scooters made this experience one of the absolute best! Our guide Sebastian gave our group thorough instructions beforehand about the equipment, which was very easy to use. Appreciated the included full-face snorkeling mask and fins. The boat took us to 3 different spots, and the marine life we saw was amazing. Fantastic experience all around!

The experience was more than we could have ever hoped for! The guide and captain were knowledgeable and kind and welcoming. The sea scooters were easy to learn to operate and were essential to cover as much of the reef as we did. We are beyond grateful. From the reef, to the huge schools of fish, to the anemones, and coral types, and especially the sting rays who were so sweet and friendly, we had the time of our life. 10/10 recommend.

I had no experience operating a sea scooter and I was a little nervous, but the tour guide took us to open shallow water to practice before we went to our snorkeling sites. Once we were comfortable with our scooters, we went to three sites and each site had different fish and marine animals. We swam with beautiful fish and coral, turtles and rays. We saw the elusive clown fish, a few shy sharks, eels. We swam with large schools fish. We saw everything the waters of Moorea has to offer on a snorkeling tour. You will not be disappointed. You won’t be able to shoot photos or videos because you will be holding the sea scooter. Not to worry. A professional underwater photographer will be on the tour with you and offer excellent photos and videos of your experience for a fee.

This tour was so much fun! Sebastian was our guide and the captain was Nicole. Sebastian was very knowledgeable about the fish and reefs and Nicole was a great captain. The underwater scooters were a lot of fun and made it easy to go far without getting tired.
We stopped in three different locations, with the first stop being the longest, and second the shortest, and the third in between. On the third, there was a manta ray with whom the guide had a relationship and the ray followed us the whole way, which was easily the highlight of the excursion.

This was a really cool way to explore the vibrant coral gardens of Moorea, some of the sights you see under water are incredible and otherworldly. There’s such a vast array of marine life, and a chance to spot turtles, mantas and sharks. We also paid for our photos to be taken, and they were definitely worth the money.
One small suggestion would be to do the shallower stop first; just to acclimatise to using the sea scooter as it’s tricky to get used to in deep water with high coral.

Such a cool excursion!! The captain and tour guide were very friendly and informative. They provide you with everything you need for the trip! We stopped at a few locations to see different things and we were even fortunate enough to see a crazy amount of dolphins right next to the boat and even get in to swim with them a little bit. They do have a professional camera taking pictures and videos for you to purchase at the end. We did use our go pro but it was a little hard to use sometimes with the scooter in our hands. Overall great experience and easy to do!

This was an awesome way to snorkel. The scooter was simple to operate & gently pulls you along, helping you to cover more ground than swimming alone. They even provide a wetsuit to help keep you warm. The coral gardens are a must to see, a ray joined us and swam along for quite a while, & our guide Sebastian was helpful & informative. Highly recommend this method of snorkeling!

Great tour right out of the Sofitel. Saw a beautiful coral garden, sea turtles, clown fish, a shark and really swam with rays. The dolphins swam alongside of the boat and did some spins for us too. The rays followed us around for the last part of the snorkel which was amazing. The sea jets were an experience basically turning you into the closest thing to a mermaid you can be.

Such a wonderful and anmzing experience! we snorkeled in three different locations, one truly a nature “aquarium” filled with beautiful colorful fishes, we saw so many sea turtles up close, and swam next to sting ray! Our guide Nicolas and Potu were so friendly and kind, we were well taken care of, they took us to find Dolphins and we saw many spinners jump and spin! What a sight! The sea scooter was very easy to operate, my kids were using it to dive and had so much fun! All in all, worth every penny!

We did a snorkeling tour earlier this week and commented on the lack of live corals. This trip was fantastic because we went to much less visited areas with magnificent coral gardens and plentiful fish. The captain and crew were extremely friendly and helpful. This is a great way to spend the morning.
