Of all the tours we experienced on our French Polynesia cruise, this was our favorite. Our guide Vetea was knowledgeable, friendly, and kind. Communication about where we would be picked up was excellent and the van was comfy. From walking around Papeete on our own, we had no idea that the island of Tahiti was so beautiful. Don’t hesitate to take this tour.

I loved the 5 hour tour with Vetea. He was very friendly and picked me up right on time. I got lucky and had 4 other very friendly passengers and we all got along famously. I was spending a few days in Tahiti before going on to Pitcairn, and he understood how exciting that was for me. He made a special point of showing me a breadfruit tree and discussing it - explaining it's importance to the Bounty story to the other folks. He also noticed my slight limp when I walk and offered me a hand when we approached some uneven stairs at a waterfall. He stopped and bought some fresh pineapple and pomelo for us to try, both of which were great! None of our group had ever eaten pomelo before - what a treat. When we reached Venus Point, he explained the Marlon Brando marker stone, and made sure I noticed the names of the Bounty crew on the back. Vetea asked me if I wanted to be dropped back at my hotel, or perhaps somewhere else for convenience, and asked the two passengers from the cruise port if they wanted to be dropped back off at the port or somewhere else near there, since they were spending the rest of the day in Papeete while waiting for their evening flight. Highly recommend Vetea and this 5 hour around the island tour.

We had a fantastic afternoon exploring Tahiti. From waterfalls to sacred sites to botanical gardens and the evening sunset, it was just the right amount of activity. Fresh fruit, breadfruit chips, water and bread for the fish were all provided. This is a great tour.

Vetea was a fabulous tour guide and took us to a variety of locations all over the island of Tahiti. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and very accommodating to all. We especially enjoyed the stop to purchase some fresh fruit from the island, as well as the black sand beach and a beautiful waterfall. We were picked up at 8 AM and arrived back at our apartment at about 2:30 PM. Four other people joined my husband and myself, and the van was quite comfortable, even in the third row. Would highly recommend this to anyone looking to have a good overview of some of the beautiful sights of Tahiti.
Fabrize, the owner of the company, was also most gracious and communicated extraordinarily well about the pick up location. He also arranged for Vetea to drop us off right at our apartment, which was very thoughtful.
Excellent service and a great experience overall!

Saw the entire island- full circle! Guide was incredible. Had periods of rain and he jumped out and handed each person a large open umbrella as you exit the van! Bought pineapple, papaya, bread, and breadfruit chips for us to try along the way. Very knowledgeable. Very personable. If you want to know all about the island, this is your tour!

You get a great overview of Tahitian history and the beauty of the island. Antoinette our guide, was very knowledgeable about the flora and fauna, and was able to share this with us.
We also got to see an amazing sunset down at the lighthouse.
Our guide thoughtfully provided some local fruit snacks, which were much appreciated. She also got bread to feed the birds at the botanical garden, and also used that to entice the eels to the surface there too.

We had a great afternoon exploring the island in a very comfortable vehicle with nice A/C. It was a small group which included 2 of us and 3 more people. We got to see a sacred site, a cave, 2 water falls, a botanical garden, and ended our day at the black sand beach with breathtaking sunset view. Our driver/tour guide (sorry I forget his name) was super nice and polite. He patiently answered non-stop questions from an elderly in the group. He even offered to drop us off at our airbnb instead of the original pick up location. I highly recommend this tour if you have a full day in Papeete. We were glad that we didn’t rent a car to do the tour on our own. This guided tour is a much better value!

We had a wonderful tour in Tahiti. Our guide arrived at our hotel ahead of schedule, which made the start of the day smooth and stress‑free. The van was spacious, spotless, and comfortably air‑conditioned, perfect for our group of six.
We visited many interesting spots and enjoyed a full circle drive around the island, which gave us a great sense of Tahiti’s beauty and diversity. Our guide was fantastic. Providing history of the island and places of interest. Our guide arrived on time and ensured we were comfortable onboard the very spacious minibus. He bought fruit, bread and provided cold water. He made the trip very pleasurable and ensured we understood his commentary. It was one of the most enjoyable trips I have taken in our journey around the islands. Our guide answered all our questions and was most knowledgeable. I give him 10/10 for a great day x

Our tour today with Antoinette was fantastic! She warmly shares her Polynesian culture… from plants, to food, history, tattoos, religion, government, the ocean, special places and myths… with humor, deep connection and respect. Her visual aid included maps, books and the bounty of Tahiti. She offers a great introduction to the richness and beauty of the Polynesian people, the islands, their ancestors and knowledge.

Viator tours never disappoint! This particular one was everything we had hoped for, largely due to our tour guide, Antoinette. Being a local, she was very knowledgeable about the island, the people and its ancestors and customs. Antoinette, bought fruit and food native to the island for us to sample.
She was funny, sharp witted and very caring towards the locals (the dogs, hens and roosters as well) she greeted along the stops we made. It seemed like she knew everyone on the island.

You don’t realize how much is packed into one small island till you take this tour! We saw a traditional Tahitian temple, spectacular waterfalls, a garden and fine black sand beaches all in under 5 hours! And lots of snacking along the way

You get to learn about the island of Tahiti. Where people live and work. The beautiful waterfall, gardens and historical sites. Stop at local fruit stands, eat traditional foods. Our tour guide Antoinette was a lot of fun, local Tahitian with lots of stories of traditional family life! She was great!!

Well worth the money although expensive. We saw the whole island of Tahiti in 5 hours and this included 2 beautiful waterfalls
