Arriving via cruise ship we had prebooked this tour a few months prior. Met the groups at Papetoai tender location.
So happy we selected this tour rather than attempting to drive ourselves...the mountain roads are treacherous but absolutely worth the tour to see the views.
Ron our guide was very informative and helpful.
Definitely a tour not to miss.

Wonderful experience to see the island. From pineapple fields to exquisite views of the bays and ocean, to rum tasting at the end. It was memorable
Ron was an amazing tour guide! He knew the history of the island and we had fun joking around with him. He gave really great recommendations. We loved this tour!
Our guide was excellent! The office staff was very accommodating with our unexpected travel arrival to Moorea. They were able to modify our groups time so we would not miss out.
Our tour guide spent lots of time just speaking French only, leaving English speaking guests just standing there. The spots are nice, but the later half of the trip spends too much time spent on “shopping spots” (distillery and a smoothie shop). The viewpoints are nice though.
Truck was comfortable, nicely protected, beautiful view points. Ron was very informative and friendly.
Fun tour, got to see some spectacular views and learn a lot about the island. Ron, our guide, was friendly and very knowledgeable.
“The Blue Lady” was a great tour guide. Very knowledgeable and made certain we saw everything! Beware of the ride up and down Magic Mountain. Very bumpy and may be a problem if you get motion sickness. But the view from the top is well worth it! Highly recommend this tour!
Our tour was excellent! Ron, our tour guide, was extremely knowledgeable about Moorea, the history, and the culture! We saw many impressive sights! I highly recommend this tour!
Just the right length. Comfortable seats. Some car exhaust if that bothers you. Protected from direct sun while driving during the morning tour. Ron had lots of historical information for us. 2 opportunities for bathroom breaks and refreshments. Amazing photo sites. Take Gravol if you get motion sickness. A lot of unpaved surfaces that are on steep uneven hills.
Fun day getting to see more of the interior of the island and some great viewpoints. The guides were friendly and knowledgeable. It was very convenient to take this tour rather than try to drive this or hike to the vantage points like Magic Mountain. It is an off road experience though so it is a bumpy ride but worth it!
A great overview of the island . Our guide Spirou was knowledgeable, funny, friendly and a fabulous driver up the Rocky Mountain tracks. Very bumpy at times so not for you if you have back problems . But a fabulous time will be had .

Take mosquito repellent as you may need this due to the places visited.
Excellent tour with an excellent guide Tapu? Went to some amazing viewpoints and the guide gave us lots of interesting information. Magic mountain was amazing and all credit to the guide negotiating the steep inclines. Seeing the eels was also brilliant and view from the Belvédère spectacular if somewhat busy. A great tour
We booked this tour to see the main sites in Moorea. When we were picked up the guide told us that we were the only two on the trip which was a surprise so we were glad that they had run the trip with just two of us. At the start we were told that we could not visit the distillery as it was shut which was a great disappointment. The drive up to Magic Mountain was awesome very steep and rugged. The view from the top was amazing. The track to the pineapple plantation was very bumpy as it was mostly unmade track. Overall the trip was very good.
The excursion was everything they said it would be. Knowledgable tour guide! It was hot though sitting in the back of a truck!
We had a great experience. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the island and we really liked learning everything she had to share. She let us spend as much time at each stop as we wanted, we never felt rushed.
Similar tour as sold by cruise ship but much less expensive. Many truck and ATV tours seem to run the same route as we crossed paths and parked at the same stops. Tour guide was friendly and very informative.

It was a fantastic tour with a fantastic driver and also guide. We saw the most spectacular things on Moorea.
Nothing special. Cool places to see, but the guide wasn’t very informative in English. Most of the guidance was in French, and one of the other passengers had to translate it afterwards
Great experience and good value for money. The weather was not great but Ron knew when to be at certain points and we got lucky to even see the hole in the mountain for 1minute.. The roads were not too bad given it is a 4WD track in the mountains. Great mojito and mai tai tasting at the end. Thanks again Ron.

Great over iew of important sites in Moorea. Bring hat, insect repellant and sunscreen. Guide was excellent. Well worth the money
We were staying in Papeete for short period before going to Bora Bora.
This tour gave us the chance to visit the highliights of Moorea in a few hours.
The guide expected us at Moorea ferry terminal, we took the 7 am ferry from Papeete and returned in the 1:30 pm service.
Totally worth it,
English speaking guide was a huge benefit. Ron our guide was an extremely pleasant person, his knowledge throughout the entire tour was incredible. I would definitely recommend Safari Mario Moorea.
