Exploring around the cobbled streets of the quintessential Baroque cities in Sicily. The tour begins in the city centre of Noto, considered the capital of the Sicilian Baroque. Called “The Garden of Stone” is known for its elegant buildings and intricate architectural elements. The walk through the city with our guide allows you to explore this beautiful city. The next stop is Modica, a city rich with historical buildings and a remarkable culinary tradition. Modica is also known for its chocolate, which you can taste, enjoying its unique and intense flavours. The final destination of our Baroque tour is Ragusa Ibla. The quaint passageways, the splendid buildings, and the Hyblean Gardens create an idyllic and cinematic setting.

Today 8.30am be ready at pick-up location to meet our driver and departure from Siracusa in direction of Ragusa Ibla. You have the chance to explore independently the old part of the city and an undisputed reality of Baroque art. Soon after, you will discover the local Chocolate in Modica. This particular chocolate is made with a very old recipe, the one coming from the Aztecs. We then continue to Noto. In the Arab period the town was the capital of one of the three districts of Sicily (the Val di Noto) and once defeated by the Christians, Noto became a rich Norman city. Unfortunately, it was totally destroyed by the 1693 Sicilian earthquake and rebuilt in a new position nearer to the Ionian Sea. But the new Noto is a masterpiece of Sicilian Baroque! Later we return to Siracusa (estimated arrival time h 4pm) Please note that if the tour does not reach at least two participants it will not be operated.

During the coastal navigation we will head to the following locations: Avola, Calabernardo, Noto, Eloro, Marianelli, Pizzuta, Calamosche, Tonnara and the island of Vendicari, San Lorenzo, Marzamemi and Portopalo. During the journey we will have the opportunity to admire: 4 tuna fisheries, 2 islands, Roman columns, reserves, fortresses and majestic sheer cliffs, beaches with the most varied colors and caves hidden by the blue of the sea. We will make many swimming stops where the sea is more crystal clear and if possible we will anchor in front of the 3 Roman columns lying on the seabed at about 7 meters deep, we will provide everyone with fins and masks for snorkeling. I land in Marzamemi to visit the seaside village with the possibility of stopping in some restaurants and enjoying this splendid fishing village. Aperitif based on Sicilian products with fresh drinks, prosecco, wine and fruit. The afternoon tour will allow you to enjoy the sunset.

The visit lasts about 1h30m and takes place along the main street and along the famous Via Nicolaci. In addition to the picturesque views of the city, there is also a visit to the most beautiful Baroque churches of Noto. The visit is held in Italian or, only in rare cases, with double explanation in Italian and English. Note: Inside visit of the cathedral is optional and an entrance fee is required not included, DA purchased on site. In case of religious ceremonies (weddings, funerals, etc.) it is not possible to visit the cathedral inside.
