Today 8.30am be ready at pick-up location to meet our driver and departure from Siracusa in direction of Ragusa Ibla. You have the chance to explore independently the old part of the city and an undisputed reality of Baroque art. Soon after, you will discover the local Chocolate in Modica. This particular chocolate is made with a very old recipe, the one coming from the Aztecs. We then continue to Noto. In the Arab period the town was the capital of one of the three districts of Sicily (the Val di Noto) and once defeated by the Christians, Noto became a rich Norman city. Unfortunately, it was totally destroyed by the 1693 Sicilian earthquake and rebuilt in a new position nearer to the Ionian Sea. But the new Noto is a masterpiece of Sicilian Baroque! Later we return to Siracusa (estimated arrival time h 4pm) Please note that if the tour does not reach at least two participants it will not be operated.

The first stage of the tour will be Noto, the beautiful Baroque city, full of important historic buildings all built with local stone, with a golden color tending towards pink. You will enter through Porta Reale, the gate to the city, and then continue with a walk along the main street overlooked by the cathedral of San Nicolò, whose construction began at the end of the 1600s. You will be fascinated by the most important building in the city, Palazzo Ducezio, seat of the town hall, and by Via Nicolaci, famous all over the world for its Infiorata. This will be followed by a visit to Portopalo di Capo Passero, a seaside village at the extreme southern tip of Sicily, which offers spectacular sea views and acts as a watershed between the Ionian Sea and the Mediterranean Sea. Then Marzamemi awaits you: you will reach the heart of the village to relax in the square overlooked by the palace of the Prince of Villadorata, built in 1752 in sandstone.

We will sail from Avola to Portopalo di Capo Passero. During the coastal navigation we will head to the following locations: Avola, Calabernardo, Noto, Eloro, Marianelli, Pizzuta, Calamosche, Tonnara and the island of Vendicari, San Lorenzo, Marzamemi and Portopalo. During the journey we will have the opportunity to admire: 4 tuna fisheries, 2 islands, Roman columns, reserves, fortresses and majestic sheer cliffs, beaches with the most varied colors and caves hidden by the blue of the sea. We will make many swimming stops where the sea is more crystal clear and if possible we will anchor in front of the 3 Roman columns lying on the seabed at about 7 meters deep, we will provide everyone with fins and masks for snorkeling. I land in Marzamemi to visit the seaside village with the possibility of stopping in some restaurants and enjoying this splendid fishing village. Departure from Avola, southbound, first stop at the White Rocks of Lido di Noto; you will enter the Vendicari Nature Reserve for a swim in front of the beach of Calamosche; the tour will continue in the heart of the reserve to admire the Vendicari tuna trap and make a stop in front of the white beach behind the island of Vendicari. You can then observe the 4 Roman columns that are located about 5 meters deep near Marzamemi. Sicily Boats provides all participants with snorkeling equipment, i.e. fins, masks and snorkel. The navigation continues towards the island of Capopassero, you will be able to admire the Tafuri Castle, the octopus cave and the Spanish fortress. Then a stop to enjoy the aperitif with Sicilian sparkling wine, arancini, fresh fruit, beer and soft drinks.
