Alessandro was a wonderful companion for the day. He was very knowledgeable about the history & beautiful sites & customized the itinerary based on my interests. I felt I experienced Syracuse, Noto and Ortigia in depth & saw things I would have missed on my own. We drove from Cantania and back for the day tour & it was easily done and very enjoyable.

This trip was a complete ripoff. This guide knew nothing about the attractions we stopped at and did not enter the archaeological areas we visited just told us to go walk and he would wait in the car on everything we did. We were so frustrated with home we released him at lunchtime. We had a driver at best but a terrible guide and do not believe he had a license to be a guide. We’ll definitely look to our credit card company to get a full refund.
Hopefully Victor will refund our money but more importantly only use licensed guides.

Dear Betsy, we are sorry for your review and even more so for your satisfaction with the service we provided. We believe this review is absolutely undeserved. From the morning onwards, the specifics of the tour and the included services were reiterated to you. Furthermore, you visited more sites than those described, you were looked after and accompanied, the driver was ready to help you because you had problems with your knee, and you were given maximum flexibility regarding the times of your visits. Only after lunch at 3:15 pm, a good 7 hours after the start of the tour, did you communicate that you did not want to continue the tour because you were tired from the journey the day before. You took photos, thanked the driver, and left a tip. I myself heard your husband thank him, telling the driver, "Thank you, everything is fine." Therefore, we are amazed and sorry for your disappointment.There was also a guided tour of Ortigia .And we were already out of time and we paid the entrance to the cathedral for you.Creating serious inconvenience for us.In conclusion, your review is false and not objective.

We had a great day with our tour guide Alejandro. He is very kind, knowledgeable and humorous and gave us a lot of good recommendations.
One particular thing I want to highlight is our tour guide is really flexible, we got picked up from Catania Airport in the morning and dropped at our hotel in Taormina in the evening.

Going into Siracusa via private car is much preferred to a bus tour. Buses cannot get into the older part of the city. We were very pleased that the driver was able to get us to the sites we wanted to visit.

We had a great day with Alessandro, who was not just our driver but also a really knowledgeable and friendly guide. He walked with us, pointing out interesting and important sights, and gave us time to explore on our own and grab a quick lunch. Even though it wasn’t officially tourist season, he managed to get us into the Jewish baths for a tour (thanks to a school group being there). It’s a place full of history and really worth seeing!

Loved Greek and Roman amphitheaters. Jewish baths were truly amazing and awe inspiring! Seeing all the baroque architecture and visiting several churches broke up some long walking distances.

We visited Syracuse, Ortigia and Noto, all places are beautiful, we had lunch in Ortigia , delicious seafood. Noto has the most beautiful churches.our guide Alessandro knows all the history!

My husband and I were picked up by Allesandro right at our hotel. He was knowledgeable and friendly. We drove all around Catania on our way to Syracusa, Ortigia, & Noto. He brought us to all of the historical sites and walked us around the 3 cities explaining everything we saw along the way. The Ortigia market was a hightlight with all of the fresh food you could imagine.

Alessandro was an excellent guide. He was very knowledgeable and knew everyone at each stop. However, be sure to purchase tickets online for the Parco Archeologico della Neapolis at Siracusa in advance. When we were dropped off there, we did not know to purchase tickets in advance and the queue was 40 minutes.

Alessandro was an excellent guide. He is immensely professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and accommodating.
The drive was long, but we were comfortable and he kept us entertained with information about the area we were driving through, the history of Sicily, and about other areas in Sicily.
It would have been nice to have a guided tour of the Neapolis Parco, but we knew the tour did not include this. We had a lovely, interesting walking tour of Ortigia. And as we knew, the time in Noto was self-guided, but Alessandro walked us to the main area and showed us around and made suggestions of what to tour. What with our taking a long time in each spot because there was so much to see, and stopping for photos (or to use a washroom), our tour was rather longer than advertised, but he never rushed us (he had a very long day). His English is very good, but I did have to ask him to repeat himself sometimes because I was sitting in the back seat.
I would just say that it was unfortunate that the Parco was 1/3 closed (not the fault of the tour guide or company) and that it’s a lot to try to fit in one day. That’s how much time we had and it was great, but if you can take more time, that would be better.

We spent $650 for a private tour. The ruins at Siracusa were ruined. They have almost none of their original integrity remaining. Our guide did not enter the site to explain any of the history. The Apollo Temple in Ortigia was also in a very sorry state of integrity. Next to Noto were we very much enjoyed the baroque cathedral, which is is a UNESCO world heritage site. Be warned, it was 105 degrees F in Noto the first week of June. This makes sightseeing generally unbearable. Our guide was very aggressive in breaking many traffic laws, including texting while driving at high speeds with half the car in one lane and the other half in the other lane, despite my son calling her on it because it was not legal. Rick music in Italian in the vehicle was very loud, to the point that the guide was unable to hear voices from the back seat. In my Europe travels, I have always invited quality guides to dine with us for lunch. This guide just sat down with us without an invitation, displaying a sense of entitlement. For the $650, the only pleasant part was the cathedral in Nito
