The tour took an entire...

The tour took an entire day, but it was well worth it. I truly felt that we got to see a variety of the beauty that Scotland has to offer. There were many opportunities for pictures and breaks throughout the day. Our tour guide, Keith, did an AMAZING job! He provided so much information about the sights and Scottish history in such a fun an engaging way. I learned a lot and it igniting a spark within me to learn more about Scotland and my heritage. If anyone is looking for a way to truly get a since of Scotland, this is the tour to take. I am exciting to return and to use Stewart travel again to explore more of this great country.

Top of the Rock!

Tour was great! I thought I had bought a ticket just for entry into the castle. I walked all the way up the hill and was told I had to meet my group down at the bottom of the hill!! Lot's of walking that day - but it was worth it. Our guide was knowledgeable, funny and made the history of the castle very interesting.

Great crew - Lawrence our driver & tour guide - who only recently joined the Timber Bush Tours company … played well (as we Aussies say) - very professional, great stories, A1 driver and very patient with the customers. Plenty of breaks, photo opportunities and a few surprise visits throughout the day. The Highland Cows a real treat. We basically did day trips on a 15 day Western Norway to London on a Viking Ocean Cruise and I have to say Lawrence delivered more today than the many tour guides we enjoyed in Western Norway, Shetland Islands, Orkney Islands and Edinburgh. I won’t mention that he had a great back drop as the geography in Norway and the UK Islands were great back drops as well. Good job Lawrence, much appreciated. John & Judy (from OZ)

Kiran Rocks!

Loved that we did a tour of Edinburgh castle before visiting on our own. It’s so big and could have been overwhelming but Kiran, our tour guide was phenomenal. He pointed out significant things about each building so we knew what to look for. He was so personable and funny. Loved all the stories he told. I would highly recommend this company. Highland hospitality at its best!

The beauty of Isle of Skye speaks for itself, but it definitely helped to have someone like our guide, Jim, who gave depth and meaning to so many of the sights and overall history of Scotland. He was funny, insightful, and very patient. The accommodations were also top-notch and the best I’ve experienced in Scotland with the most spectacular view of Portree. Definitely Highland hospitality at its best. It was an exceptional tour!

Awesome experience and well worth the time and money

It was a long drive from Edinburgh, but our tour guide, Tom, did a wonderful job of breaking up the drive and showing us points of interest. He was an awesome tour guide! I didn't want to leave Scotland without hitting the highlands. The landscape is so different from the lowlands and the area around Edinburgh. I also didn't want to rent a car for a day and navigate those windy roads. This was perfect for us! I definitely recommend this tour!

Do the lake cruise!

The experience was fantastic. Neil was awesome. Very entertaining and full of knowledge and jokes! We thoroughly enjoyed Loch Ness and the glencoe. The only complaint Pitlochry was for the most part closed other than a couple of souvenir shops and ice cream. It was a long stop for there to be nothing to do but walk 1/10 mile back and forth. Would love to have had longer in Loch Ness and used Pitlochry for a shorter stop seeing as it was pretty much shut down by 6:00

Excellent tour with G

Our guide was G. He gave us an authentic, animated, and informative tour up the “Royal Mile” and onto the castle grounds. His knowledge of the castle and history was very impressive. I’d recommend G to anyone taking this tour. There is a decent amount of walking up and down hills on cobblestone and brick streets, but it’s not overwhelming. There are amazing views of the city with multiple opportunities to take photos. Once the tour is over, you can do additional exploring of the grounds on your own and visit some of the other buildings and scenic views.

Lots of very interesting information about Edinburghs history and shady past. The guide, James, was well informed, enthusiastic, and full of passion. It was a worthwhile excursion. Please be aware there is a very high step to get into the building. Maybe they could invest in a stepping block. And it is dark and wet inside so something to be aware of with any visual impairment. Strong smell of dampness, to be expected, but again for those who get sensory overload it’s something to take into consideration This is a great way to spend an hour if you like history, and fun facts. I can say a lot of great...

I can say a lot of great things about this tour but in summary: the tour was well structured, fun, and informative while allowing for the exploration of Portree, the Fairy Pools, and Donan Castle. Our tour guide was funny and informative and went the extra mile to flip portions of the schedule to allow for more time and less crowded exploration of our locations. Plus his recommended lunch spot was delicious. I would love to visit our stops again and would highly recommend this tour.
