Clear instructions as to where to meet, who to talk to and vehicle to look for. Our guide was very easy going and had lots of cool facts about the different movies filmed in SF, I did not expect to stop anywhere and he took us to 3 places to stretch and take in the views of SF. Which was a plus for all of us. You can take snacks and drinks with you, you will stop at places that have bathrooms nearby. Don't go with a time in mind, just relax and enjoy the tour till the end as it is different from all the typical tourist stuff. Highly recommend!
Scott was a great guide through the busy streets and vendors pointing out spots of interest with a balance of history & humor. His easy & familiar rapport with the local owners was obvious and it seemed we were treated with special care. Four groups of strangers quickly felt like 9 friends just having tastes with friendly locals. Scott’s love of the city & its people was contagious. Thanks so much!
I don't normally provide reviews but just had to write this after our Vantigo tour. A real highlight of our trip to San Francisco
A brilliant 3 hrs of amazing sights with a fantastic tour guide (Chad). We were taken from one end of San Francisco to the other, through the middle and side ways (basically everywhere) with Chad providing great information about each area. Chad knows everything about San Francisco.. from back in the day to current. (Even his singing and jokes were all great)
Some fantastic hidden gems and view points and an really cool trip soundtrack.
We all(4 of us) loved every minute of the tour.
Being driven around in a 1971 ( I think) VW beetle bus was just sublime . With large windows to see everything you needed to.
Totally recommend this tour to everyone. A real personal touch providing any tourists a superb time.
A massive thank you to Vantigo.
You were great . Amazing and I will be telling everyone about our tour with you.
Vantigo. ..you ROCK!!!
Ryan was an excellent tour guide and host. He knew the history of the area in fascinating detail. He took us to wonderful places to eat. We also stopped at a few non food places that added more color to the tour. I highly recommend this tour to those that love Italian food.
Amazing tour of San Francisco. Dirceu or driver and guide was helpful, professional and friendly.
He went above and beyond to make our trip memorable. I think we saw just about everything.
Only sorry we couldn’t stay longer.
Thank you very much.
Can highly recommend.
I believe the tour guide I had for this tour was named Waymond - he was an excellent guide. I especially loved his knowledge of music and local musicians, and that he played songs in each neighbourhood from artists that either lived there or wrote music locally. I loved that it was a small group of only 5 of us too. 100% would recommend this tour to anybody visiting SF!
We had Keith as our tour guide and he was amazing. The trip included a trip to Muir woods which we had plenty of time in and then also saw three wineries and lunch! Then on the way back we got to stop and take some awesome pictures of the Golden Gate Bridge! Keith the whole time was awesome, funny and a local to San Francisco gave the BEST advice, tips and history! I HIGHLY recommend Keith and he made our tour even better!
Brian is the most knowledgeable guide I've ever had. I've been to SF for many times but still learned a lot from him. He is very experienced and speaks in a very clear manner - I can see nonnative English speakers can particularly benefit from his style.
Great experience. We enjoyed the Alcatraz tour. This operator saved our vacation because are previous reservation was canceled . The views on the ferry ride are amazing and the audio was so interesting. Definitely something everyone should do while visiting San Francisco.
This was an excellent small group tour all around. Visiting Alcatraz first worked well for our family. Communication was good except for a buried line about what time to meet the Mercedes Sprinter bus after the Alcatraz ferry back (note, no need to rush back). Katya drove around the city a bit and told us interesting things about the city. Muir Woods visit was incredible. Sausalito was a bit crowded on a super nice day. There is an option to stay for a nice dinner and take a separate ferry back if you need more time. Bring your own water!
Absolutely loved the GoCar experience! We rented the cars for one hour, while others in our group rented theirs for three hours. I think the three-hour rental is probably better, but even the one-hour route includes Lombard Street and the Golden Gate Bridge.
Driving the car was a real adventure and so much fun. The service was excellent, and the staff were incredibly kind and helpful. I was driving by myself, got lost, and returned early. They told me that when the rest of my group returned, someone could take me to Lombard Street—which was truly amazing customer service.
My only criticism is that the GPS could be better. It tells you which route to follow, but the directions can be confusing, so it is easy to get lost.
Despite that, I would still give the experience five stars—and the staff a definite 10 out of 10!
This was a good experience especially me as a solo traveler out tour guy Mike was knowledgeable and talk about the history and he took us round i got to know more about SF,i will highly recommend his tour to anyone here that want to know the city but has less time.
