2026 Roatan
Our tour guide was Mr. Dolphus Stanley. He was patient and professional. He took us to a great souvenir shop and didn’t rush us, plus we had the opportunity to hear the history of Roatan, see many popular spots and many hidden treasures. Thank you Mr. Stanley.

Excellent Snorkeling Trip !
Great tour ! They took our small group out on boat to three reefs and we saw two shipwrecks. Guides were nice and frienedly and helpful.
The beach excursion at the end was fun and short. The only thing is that I was unable to explain to the boat driver that ship'ss time was one hour later than local time. We did not get back to the cruise ship with much time to spare, it's the first Viator trip I have been on where I was worried we were going to miss the ship. Other than that the tour was fantastic and I highly recommend it.

Roatan Monkey, Sloth, Choc, and Rum
We arrived early. Qubit was ready and waiting for us. He took us up to the monkey/sloth encounter and negotiated a GREAT price for us to zip line as well. Very beautiful place with very friendly staff.
He then gave us a tour of the whole island, including local markets, that we otherwise would not have seen.
Highly recommend!

So much fun in a short time
Henry was a fantastic guide. We took the private tour with 8 of us and we're surprised with how much we got in. The zip lining was some of the best we had done. Then we got to see sloths, monkeys and macaw. Be careful the macaw talons are a little sharp. From there we tried chocolate and rum. We finished up with some of the boys snorkeling while he then dropped the rest back at the ship . Thank you for the great memories

Michael was our private...
Michael was our private tour driver and was very attentive to anything that we needed. The beach was pretty and clean. Drinks were a bit pricey. Beer was $5.50 and mixed drinks $15.00. We did get a good massage for $45.00. Michael hooked us up with the person that did it and they had massage tables. If you do it through the beach vendors, you will be laying on the sand.

Definitely recommend
We had a great time on this Roatan excursion. Everything was well organized and easy.
The beach was the highlight, super clear water and the perfect place to relax. The monkeys, parrot and sloth were really fun to see, and the chocolate and rum tasting was a nice extra. It was a great way to see a little bit of everything.
Our guide Dariela was great, friendly, knowledgeable, and kept everything running smoothly.

Best experience ever
This was one of the best trips ever! Having our on personal driver Ivan “The Great”. He stayed with us the entire time and told us all about the island. Keep us on schedule and even went out of his way to make us feel like we were family! The sloths, birds and monkeys were so cool to see, chocolate and Rum factory we great and once we got to the beach club he found us 4 chairs all together so we could hit the water

The Best
Katie was phenomenal. She accommodated my disabled mother and toddler along with my stupidity of getting on the wrong boat - and she was willing to shorten our trip. This was great for my mother to get to do an excursion. Katie and I really hit it off. I miss her already. John Hayman - look me up on FB, please.

Monkeys and three-toed sloths up close and personal
The monkey sloth sanctuary is more of a zoo and is smaller than expected. Apparently they have other activities you can do like rent an ATV if you purchase it separate tour. We did the sloth monkey and West Bay Beach break tour. The time at the sanctuary was less than an hour, but so rewarding. They let you into the cages and the monkeys sit on your head! You can no longer hold the sloths, but you can get really close to them and they even had a little baby! West Bay Beach was fun and the pizza is pretty good at the thirsty turtle bar. Our tour guide was helpful and we had a great time. I just wish we would have realized we would be spending more time on the beach than in the sanctuary so we could have been more prepared with beach toys or snorkel equipment.

Roatan with Elda
Elda was a perfect driver/guide for our adventure. One lady in our group uses a walker and Elda was so helpful loading and unloading it for her. The sloth and monkey tour was interesting and fun. We enjoyed the chocolate and rum factories as well. Lunch at a local restaurant, shopping in handcrafted shops were icing on the cake! Elda gave us a great history lesson on the island and pointed out areas of interest as we drove.

Great day in Roatan
This was a wonderful personalized excursion. From our driver Louis who transported us to and from the excursion and also gave a history of the city, as well as taking us to a great market to shop and local restaurant to have lunch. Our boat captain Bruno and his crew were extremely helpful and engaged with us while snorkeling. They brought snacks like watermelon and homemade local bread to share as well. The snorkeling sights were great and our group greatly enjoyed the entire experience.

Great Experience, supporting local business, and save money over the excursion offered by cruise line
This was a super experience. We booked it as we would be on a cruise. It was far cheaper than the Cruise offered with the same scope. We were originally going to be just the two of us on the boat, but gladly had another couple join after their excursion boat captain had a family issue.
We met our driver outside the port, lots of other folks there but all helped us find her. She was very friendly, and drove us to the beach where we were leaving from. After the snorkeling we visited a chocolate museum/factory (delish!!!!)
Our dive master guided our snorkeling in three locations, all of which were different and all wonderful.
I would book again...

Not seeing something you are looking for?
Even those pressed for time will be impressed with Anchorage’s half-day tours. The city makes a fabulous home base for adventure in any direction: To the north, visitors can explore rivers and waterfalls; to the east, mountains and Alaska’s most well-known state park; to the south, wildlife sanctuaries and famous scenic overlooks; to the west, islands, whale-watching, and more. Half-day tours from Anchorage—be it by bus, car, boat, or kayak—are just enough time to sample the city’s greatest wonders, and they are indeed great.
