This Bananarama Private Beach Resort Day Pass Excursion is available for other Resorts or cruise ship guest arriving to the island to enjoy. Once pick up from your hotel or cruise port you will have round trip transportation once on your way you will hearing and learning about some Roatan local history. You will be making stop at the chcocolate and rum factory for a tour of the facility. After that you will head down to west bay to the Bananarama beach resort where you will have access to a beach chair, changing room, fresh water shower, and free WI-FI. This is why they now live in these special shelters. This shelter rotates the sloths that travelers come across around every 4 hours so they are always well-rested! We will visit communities from different ethnic groups. A true local myself, I'm part of one of 9 different ethnic groups on our island, which include people from Latin America, Africa, and Europe. We'll drive through Los Fuertes, the biggest Latino community in Roatan, and visit Punta Gorda, where the Garifuna community lives. Some Garifonas start their day fishing in the early morning, and return hours later to sell their catches!
