Yeury was a great tour...
Yeury was a great tour operator. Damajaqua is challenging to walk up the stairs and mountain to get there. Water shoes not the best option and rocks hurt the bottom of your feet. I recommend good quality water shoes with stiff rubber bottom. Damajagua tour guides are great. The experience of sliding down the falls and jumping off the falls is so incredible. Super highly recommend this tour. Best excursion of my cruise. Pay $55 for the photographer; it's well worth it.

Monkeys & Waterfalls
Absolutely loved our experience. We booked this as an excursion during the Puerto Plata stop on our cruise. The communication ahead of time was excellent, and we had no problem finding our guide (Jerry) in the port. Our first stop was the monkey house, where we saw monkeys, macaws, and other wildlife and had a brief tour of the farm. We loved it. Then we went onto the waterfalls. The 40 minute hike to the top was mild for us (50 year olds & teens) but others in our group struggled and needed to make frequent stops. The guides were extremely accommodating to all. I advise wearing hard soled water shoes as opposed to the cheap water sock variety. Once in the falls, we jumped, slid and floated our way through the beautiful rainforest. It was such a unique experience and a highlight of our entire week. Our guide was extremely helpful and friendly. Couple of pointers or tips that may be helpful: - there are lockers at the waterfalls, so you can store your belongings there - professional photographers will offer to join your family and take photos, so you don’t need to carry a camera or risk ruining your phone. We found this very worth the $55 fee. - we met the guide at 9:30 a.m. and were back to the poet at 3:30. This is longer than the description states, so something to be aware of if you are considering on a port stop Overall, excellent excursion and I highly recommend to anyone visiting the DR.

Dirty fun!
An amazingly fun, but filthy adventure. The staff was so friendly, especially the "paparazzi". We got over 700 images of our trip, for a very reasonable price. The jungle stop was very neat, getting to try coffee, chocolate, cigars and mamajuana was great. Just be prepared for a hard but friendly sell from the workers for souvenirs. And to finish it off, a dip in the ocean to wash off the dirt, with the cruise ships in the background was nice. There were lockers, showers, and dressing rooms, as well as a food truck and bar at the headquarters with reasonable prices and tasty options. Our favorite excursion on our trip.

Soooo much fun
Ah-mazing. Highly recommend. When you get off the ship, it’s a very long walk to the bus. You have to walk out of the port area to the main road. Daniella, Jonathan, and everyone else are wonderful. I’m almost 60 and overweight. If I can do this YOU can. It’s so much fun and you’ll make great memories. Lunch is yummy and you go to a different site for the tastings. We had plenty of time for shopping when we returned. Have fun. This is a must do excursion and much cheaper than the ship excursions.

As the Dominican Republic’s oldest city, you might think Puerto Plata excursions all revolve around history—but that couldn’t be further from the truth. While plenty of options delve into the past at the 16th-century fortress, many showcase the lush natural landscapes of the island. Tackle rugged terrain on an ATV adventure, go horseback riding on trails leading to waterfalls, feel your adrenaline levels soar during ziplines, and then cool off during snorkeling trips and sunset catamaran cruises.
