Great experience, good communication.

Our whole family enjoyed this excursion. Communication from the tour company was good and we found the meeting location no problem. We were waiting for another group, but they arranged for us to go with another instead so that we could leave earlier and not wait. The waterfalls were great - one of us took the back way to the last waterfall due to a physical limitation for the canyoneering and learned lots of info about the area going that route. The others loved the slides and going through the canyon. Great experience. Our favorite, though, was the monkey home. The monkeys were so cute and energetic, and Gelsy gave us great info about how the place worked and cared for the monkeys. This was the favorite experience of our vacation for everyone. There was also a cigar wrapping demonstration, which was interesting. The driver was courteous and kept all our items safe. We even got back early because we were able to leave early, so we got to see a bit more in the dock area after we got back.

Best day ever with the most amazing staff!

A pretty intense way to spend the day.

Be prepared for a lot of climbing, the overall activity it pretty physical. There's a big climb up a hill along a series of slopes and stairs, followed by a decent along very steep stairs and a ladder to get to the water. Definitely got my step count in for the day. The waterfalls range from slides to a big jump through some beautiful deep ravines that the river runs through. Plan for about 6 hours from the time you get picked up until you get dropped off back at the port. It's also about a 15 minute walk from the shops to the taxi meeting spot.

Don't miss out on this tour

This was one of the best tours I have ever taken. First off, it was exceptionally well organized. From the moment we booked the tour they kept in touch. And the best part, the buggy tour exceeded my expectations. I thought it would be ho hum but it was exciting the whole way through. Yeah, there was one pit stop where the locals wanted to sell you something, but we needed to stop anyway for a potty break. I highly recommend this tour.

Amazing experience

This exciting excursion was fantastic! The hike was strenuous but my 6 year old did it. Once at the top we went down probably 5 natural water slides through natural springs. Everyone had a great time.The staff was kind the facilities were clean. Then we had a wonderland lunch prepared for us and tried the local chocolate and rum! Great experience.

Castle Pena, Sintra, Cascais day trip.

This was a wonderful experience of site seeing of the castle of Pena and the city of Sintra. We added a tour of the Well and garden of Regaleira and David allowed us to have the extra time to do the tour. Then we spent an hour sightseeing and the wonderful beach town of Cascais. We stopped at another point of the tour as well. I highly recommend this trip David was a fantastic tour guide. He was very knowledgeable and accommodating.

My guide, Luis, allowed me to control this tour to fit my own interests and physical capabilities (recent knee replacement). I was lucky enough to be the solo participant in this tuk tuk tour of Lisbon. Luis was very knowledgable and engaging and helped dissipate the awkwardness that can accompany a tour that consists of just the guide and one tourist. We visited all sections of the city and saw breathtaking vistas of the city from all directions. In between, he drove by every important square, church, historical monument, relaying interesting facts and stories. With all the hills and traffic congestion, it was the perfect way to experience Lisbon.

This tour with Nadia, our guide, was awesome! We had limited time pre-cruise and got to see a LOT of the city AND we stopped for some local snacks, coffee, tours of some basilicas and churches. Nadia was attentive to what we were searching for and pointed out great places post-tour for us to shop on a short walk back to our hotel. We also had some excellent photo opp stops along the way. We really enjoyed the Portuguese history Nadia provided along the way - as a native, her insight and knowledge of the best ways to navigate a crowded city really maximized our time. Not a second wasted and well worth a 3-hour tour! Request her if you can!

Jose Pedroso was our tour guide with Chico Chico Tours - our TukTuk tour of old town Lisbon. Jose was marvelous. His English was extraordinary as was his knowledge of his city and country. He shared some traditional Portuguese music, Fado style, as we moved from stop to stop. Would highly recommend this tour and Jose in particular as a guide.
