Experience of a lifetime - not even kidding!!

Aribel was an amazing point guy for the excursion. Very nice and talkative to the whole family - even the kids. From the time we arrived at the damajaguas (waterfalls) were treated like royalty. We purchased the photo package which was worth every penny. The tour guides were some of the most amazing humans. This was an experience of a lifetime that my family will never forget. We already want to go back. The falls were so beautiful they looked like something straight out of a movie. Oh, and make sure you listen to the tour guides when they tell you how to slide and jump down the falls. I didn’t hold my elbows exactly the way they showed and I banged/scraped my elbow against the rock. Not a good feeling. I am still recovering from my “Dominican tattoo” lol. Still didn’t takeaway from the experience. Our personal photographer on the excursion Olivier was hilarious and just an all around great guy. He made the experience the best it could have been. Afterwards, we went to a second location for the local lunch - a complete hole in the wall but in the most endearing way possible. The food was out of this world. I can’t get over how amazing the fried chicken and the rice and beans were. The flavors are just the stuff foodie dreams are made of. Make sure to bring cash to tip the driver and tour guides. Would 100% recommend as long as you can handle a 30+ minute hike uphill and back.

Excellent experience!

We had so much fun and our team was amazing. They definitely are well organized and know how to navigate the experience from pick-up to drop off. Our guides made it a fun day and I am so happy we booked through them vs the cruise. It was much more enjoyable than a large group. It felt like a personal experience. 10/10 worth getting muddy!!

This was awesome!! Please understand, you will get gross!! I mean head to toe covered in mud and water, and it is so worth it!! The stop in the little town is very cool. The beach stop is good to rinse off. We are both in our 40’s and have a 17 and 13 year old, and said it was as awesome of an excursion that we’ve done!!

Fun day with Carlos

Carlos was amazing! He was patient with us and allowed us to go and do whatever we wanted. He even took one of our ladies by the grocery store and one to the post office. The tour sites he picked were perfect! We had a fabulous day! I can’t say enough about Carlos! He made it a perfect day!

Must Experience Tour!

It was a great experience and a lot of fun! We felt like we got special attention because our group was small. We weren’t rushed and we were able to take our time. Gelsy and Oliver introduced us to the parrots and the turtles before spending time with the adorable monkeys. We also got to taste the delicious coffee and learn how they make their hot chocolate. Oliver climbed a tree to let us taste the fruit from the cashew tree. We had lots of photo opportunities with the monkeys and learned their names and all about them. Later, we learned about the history and origin of Larimar and Amber. The wonderful man that educated us also helped us pick out some great jewelry gifts. The experience was top notch. I can’t forget our driver Andy! He was amazing. Before our monkey tour we did the waterfalls and that was an experience you can’t miss!! This is a must experience tour!

Great, relaxing views!

Such a beautiful activity! It was great to do right at the start of our trip to Lisbon. They pointed out all of the historic sites and statues, as well as some museums and shops, which gave us some new ideas of things to check out. It wasn’t very chilly at all (mid March) but they had blankets if anyone wanted some. There was a nice light wine with several refills and some chips as well. The guides (skippers?) were super friendly and funny as well!! Would definitely recommend for a relaxing early evening activity.

Amazing experience

This exciting excursion was fantastic! The hike was strenuous but my 6 year old did it. Once at the top we went down probably 5 natural water slides through natural springs. Everyone had a great time.The staff was kind the facilities were clean. Then we had a wonderland lunch prepared for us and tried the local chocolate and rum! Great experience.

Great way to see the city and learn some history.

Our tour was right around two hours and that was perfect. We had Carlota and she was wonderful, knowledgeable and had a passion for the city. She was also patient as we arrived late due to a prior activity and traffic. We did this a couple days into our stay, but I highly recommend doing it early in your trip to get the lay of the land. The tuk tuks are a great way to get up and down the streets, and cover most of the key points of the city. Carlota also gave us a handful of suggestions on restaurants and so far we’ve had great experiences on those as well.

Go for the tuk-tuk experience!

This tour with Nadia, our guide, was awesome! We had limited time pre-cruise and got to see a LOT of the city AND we stopped for some local snacks, coffee, tours of some basilicas and churches. Nadia was attentive to what we were searching for and pointed out great places post-tour for us to shop on a short walk back to our hotel. We also had some excellent photo opp stops along the way. We really enjoyed the Portuguese history Nadia provided along the way - as a native, her insight and knowledge of the best ways to navigate a crowded city really maximized our time. Not a second wasted and well worth a 3-hour tour! Request her if you can!

Jose Pedroso was our tour guide with Chico Chico Tours - our TukTuk tour of old town Lisbon. Jose was marvelous. His English was extraordinary as was his knowledge of his city and country. He shared some traditional Portuguese music, Fado style, as we moved from stop to stop. Would highly recommend this tour and Jose in particular as a guide.
