Porto is a picture-perfect city, its beauty easily captured in a single frame — monumental churches dressed in blue tiles line a steep street opening up onto a view over the Douro River to Vila Nova de Gaia on the other side of the river, where the city’s famed Port wine lodges and their iconic billboards dot the hill. Dig deeper into the backstreets and we find the complexities of city life and the culinary diversity that comes with it. On this full-day food tour, with at least ten tasting stops, we’ll start with the city’s favorite pastry, the éclair, and strong coffee before visiting a 3rd generation chocolate-maker. We’ll stop into a tavern for a quick petisco of smoked meat and whatever’s fresh and then visit a traditional cheese shop for a tasting. We’ll sample one of Porto’s famed sandwiches at a lunch counter crowded with locals and head to a neighborhood restaurant to taste the freshest fish and finish with a tasting Port wine and gooey cakes created in a Portuguese convent.

Take a half-day trip from Porto to the famous Douro Valley to learn more about the history of Portuguese Wine and admire dreamy landscapes near the Douro River. The Wineries We will make 2 visits and wine tastings in two of the best wineries in the Douro Valley. Lunch Lunch is not included in the price of the experience because believe that each person has different tastes and therefore has the right to choose their meal. Boat trip We will take a 1 hour rabelo boat ride on the Douro River in the Pinhão area. The return Upon returning to Porto, part of the route will be on the national road 222, described by many as the most beautiful road in Portugal.

Those who know the city of Porto may find that cycling is very difficult. It would be true if we were not talking about electric bikes! Our electric bikes are very easy to drive and environmentally friendly! We will go through the entire city center, passing through the most emblematic places, before crossing to V.N.Gaia, where we will have a Port wine tasting in one of its beautiful cellars, and enjoy a typical lunch in the traditional fishing village of Afurada! After lunch, we will cross the river again, but this time by boat, returning to the bank on the Porto side. The second part of the Tour will be a beautiful walk along the Foz border and through the magnificent Parque da Cidade, before returning to the picturesque area of Ribeira, where the Tour will end. This is the perfect Tour for those who like culture and gastronomy!
